@KarinSanden That is indeed a lovely dress! I bet you’re going to look amazing in it. I also bought a too-small dress to inspire me (mine is cream colored though). I can’t wait 😍

I hope it will keep me motivated! Sometimes I start of like a rocket and then after a month or two I start finding excuses to sit and to quit. And then this dress too will end up in the wardrobe. I have so many clothes, but I hope to get inte to smaller ones and to recycle larger sizes along the way!

@KarinSanden I have lots of goals to inspire me. I keep a list of things I want to do, and when I reach one of the goals I move it to the DONE ✅ list and put the date next to it. This way I can look back on my list of things I’ve already accomplished, AND the things I can still look forward to. It’s been very motivating for me over the past year. We do need more goals than just “wanting to fit into smaller clothes.”

That is a great idea. Please (if you are ok with it) share some of your goals as inspiration? It sounds like a great thing to do!! I just keep staring at the scale.

I finally fit into my UA hoodie without looking like the Michelin Man. I wore it for the 1st time on my 5 mile walk today, not my usual loose fitting t-shirts or hoodies. All the walking and push-ups are paying off and I'm ready to get back into weight training too.

I am getting a lot of compliments on my "new body" although I am having a hard time seeing it. all my clothes are very loose and when I went to go pick out jeans for work even a size 8 seemed too big. I am so much energy and enjoy eating healthy and going to the gym. Also I am inspiring those around me. I am so thankful to God for still being alive and healthy enough to do this.

Test post to see if I can get this thread to sync again.

Anyone else having issues getting older, long threads to load?

They load, but.... Some posts have weird links where the landing point is ten pages (200 posts) into the future. It's a lottery to find the real end of the actual posts. Doable, but not pleasant. I'm sure it will get fixed, but it ain't fixed yet.

Why can't I see the new posts here the past week?

@peterbaird54, there's a bug in the software right now that's doing this. They're working on it. Use the number or arrow keys near the bottom of the page to go back a few pages, and you'll see the new posts. Of course, you won't see THIS post, since the notification will link to one of those blank pages. 🤷

Why do I even try? I don't know.

Currently on holiday in the Pyrenees and today we hiked to a mountain lake. Not only did I easily manage the 340m total ascent, I even managed to climb 200-250m carrying our backpack (probably 10kg/22lbs, BF usually carries it).

5 years ago I wouldn't even have tried this climb, I would have had to stop every few minutes to catch my breath!

    In awe!!!!

My dream trip is climbing the route the downed flyers took over the Pyrenees to escape
Occupied France. My heroine, Nancy Wake, was involved in helping them escape, and eventually had to take that route herself to escape the Gestapo.

When I checked into it, the trip leader said I’d need extensive experience in mountains. We’ve only got foothills and Blue Ridge around here. 😢
