Hi Ladies! We had a nice weekend here. DH made it home Saturday afternoon, and it is good to have him back, even if it is just for a few days. Yesterday we ran some errands and did a couple of yard chores, but we also got some relaxing in since he leaves again on Saturday.

For workouts, on Saturday I did a 20 minute recovery spin and 30 minutes of yoga. Yesterday was ICE Chiseled Lower Body Blast, the Blizzard Blast and Icy Core 2. Today was a 15 minute spin and STS Meso 2 Disc 16/Chest, Shoulders and Triceps,

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad to hear you are continuing to improve. I am also so very happy your uncle is improving! That is fantastic news. I saw where Cathe recommended some high heel shoes, but she is selling them? That’s a little unusual for her. My feet are not made for heels anymore for sure.

Laurie, sounds like a nice weekend. Great workouts. I was thinking of you watching the Green Bay game yesterday with it raining buckets. It did not look very pleasant, that’s for certain. DH is meeting with a dietician tomorrow, and I am looking forward to hearing what she tells him. He is on and off about logging his food, and I am hoping she inspires him to start logging again. It makes a huge difference…..and it would be helpful to me to know what he is doing since I make some of his meals.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Monday's workouts were walking, yoga and CG Iron Day-6 Quads.
My glutes were feeling yesterday's workout. The quad workout had lots of Bulgarian lunges. I rested my foot on the workout bench, but it didn't feel as good as the flimsy chair did.

My uncle was about to be discharged from the hospital on Monday, but his bilirubin and another parameter were slightly high. They're going to do a cholangiogram. I really don't think he's ready to be discharged yet. I'm afraid he'll go home and crash.

DH turns 61 and on 11/5 and will fly out to Boston on the 6th.

Laurie, great workouts! How exciting about your DD getting a new kitchen. I'm sure you'll love the time with your grandson.

I also loved that Fuel cardio workout.
I'm glad your mom is doing so well!

Laurel, great workouts! I am so glad your DH is home.
I don't know if Cathe is selling the shoes, but a the very least she's getting commissions.

My barbell collars came on Monday and they are humongous

    See you tomorrow!

This is a picture of my 1 and 2 inch barbell collars. If the 2" collar opened up a little more, I could wear it as a bracelet.

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout was Iron Day 1 Leg Workout. This morning I did a Travis Yin Yoga workout. I'm seeing a difference in my flexibility doing all these yin yoga workouts.

Laurel, Nice job with all the workouts! Glad that you had some time spent with the DH before he heads out again. I've heard from quite a few people that they are seeing dietitians. A lot of them are because they don't want to go on medication, and of course the side effect is losing weight. ;) I'm just going to continue making healthy, but flavorful meals for dinner. What he eats when I'm not there is another thing. :D

Thelma, Great job with the workouts! Finding the right equipment for exercising is important, so I hope that at some point you are able to find something like that chair but stable. :) Happy Birthday to your DH, but dang on the timing. Glad that they kept your Uncle in the hospital. What a different in those collars.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Cathe Live Love Me Some Cardio Kickboxing and the STS 2.0 Basic Stretch. This felt good today because I have some serious DOMS in my upper body from the STS workout yesterday. I knew I pushed it heavy but yowza! :o

Thelma, great workouts. Happy Birthday to your DH! I hope you get to do something fun today to celebrate, especially since he has that trip to Boston tomorrow. Those collars look huge! Just out of curiosity, you mentioned the weight of the barbell is 20#. Is that with or without the collars because they look heavy.

Laurie, great workouts. I am glad you are seeing the benefits from the yoga. After Kristin McGee left Peloton, I let my yoga workouts slip a little bit, and I could feel it. I am slowly getting back to normal as I become more acquainted with the other instructors and their techniques. But I really saw how easy it is to lose both flexibility and balance when not working on them regularly. I like your approach to cooking for your DH. A couple of years ago DH was trying to lose weight (or so he told me) and so I was consciously cooking as healthy as possible…..only for him to tell me he was regularly eating fast food for lunch. :# So I think I will cook what sounds good to me (which is usually pretty healthy anyhow) and carry on.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were walking, Yin yoga and CG Fuel Day - 7 UPPER BODY COMPLEX. I also got a yummy Thai massage after Yin.

DH will be traveling to Boston on Wednesday afternoon, then back on Thursday in the late afternoon. Please keep him in your prayers.

You won't believe this, but my poor cousin had to take my aunt to the hospital on Tuesday morning because she was in a lot of pain from her gallbladder. This is the second time she has a gallbladder attack. The first time two years ago she was told it was full of water and this time they found stones. She got all kinds of meds and needs surgery. She has to see an internist next week. This doctor will order pre-op labs, and then, the surgery will be scheduled. Things definitely work differently back home. I think that in the US she would've gone straight into surgery.
My uncle had some tests done on Tuesday. He might get discharged tomorrow.

Laurie, great workouts! I love Yin yoga and Travis is such an excellent instructor, too. His wife also has her own channels now.

I hope I can find a good foot support for Bulgarian lunges, too.
Thank you for the birthday wishes for my DH.
I would've never imagined the 2" collar would be so big. It's also shocking to see the difference in the barbell from the 1" middle shaft to the 2" ends.

Laurel, great workouts! Good job on those DOMS! Since my shoulder surgery I can't push my upper body. It's kind of sad, but it is what it is.

Thank you so much for the bday wishes for my DH. We went out to dinner last Friday and I made him a lemon blueberry cake.

The barbell is 20# without the collars, which weigh 11.4 oz in total. The plates haven't come yet. They should be here any day now. I hope they come on Wednesday before my glute workout. I just know there will be hip thrusts involved! LOL

I think you're doing the right thing by cooking healthy meals for you and your DH. Getting into recording foods is not easy for some people. I went into it kicking and screaming but it made a huge difference. It's hard to be good about foods when you have to travel, and your DH travels a lot.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout yesterday was CG Fuel Day 2 Upper Body Circuits & Cluster Sets. This morning I did a Jessica pilates workout. ;)

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! Love the title of that live workout. One of the things that I have to find time to do is yoga or stretching with DH. He is sooo bad, and actually has this attitude that he can't ever be flexible. I told him last night that it is just a matter of doing it more often. I'm sure that will be something that we will explore a lot more when I retire. My DH doesn't like beans, so when I look at making dinner, I really have to make sure that there isn't beans in them. His problem is the texture. I found a pasta at Aldi that is made with lentils. I have not tried them in a recipe yet. I'm hoping that they will pass muster.

Thelma, Great workouts, and of course the massage. Oh my on your Aunt! Will be keeping all of them in my prayers, even your cousin. I'm sure that taking care of two people will be a challenge. I didn't know that Travis's wife had a channel also. What is her name?

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 15 minute spin into STS Disc 17/Legs. I finished it with the core work from Cardio and Weights.

Thelma, great workouts. A massage sounds so good right now! I am still feeling Monday’s workout. I know it took Cathe probably 18 months to start getting her strength back post surgery, so you may still improve. And, if not, you are doing great where you are at. I am surprised those collars don’t weigh more than that. Thanks for letting me know. I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. I hope she feels better soon. Your cousin must be exhausted right now. I hope your DHs travels go well.

Laurie, great workouts. I love your morning workouts. I am fortunate that DH will eat about anything. My biggest problem is me when it comes to cooking. I am not much interested in eating (unlike my DH), so I have a really hard time justifying the length of time it takes to prepare some meals and then dinner is over in a minute. I can think of a million better ways I could have spent that time and still managed to eat a healthy meal. This is why I eat repeat meals so much. But DH prefers a little variety, which I think is normal. :)

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Wednesday's workouts were yoga and walking.

DH made it safely to Boston.
My uncle was discharged from the hospital on Wenesday afternoon. I pray he'll be OK at home. Thankfully, my aunt is feeling better.

    Laurie, great workouts!
Lauren Eckstrom is Travis' wife's name.

Thanks so much for keeping my family in your prayers. Taking care of two people is definitely challenging.

    Laurel, great workouts!
The collars are platic, so they are not heavy.
My cousin is really exhausted. Poor guy. He's been really good with his parents. Thank goodness my aunt is feeling better.
DH's trip has gone very well so far.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout yesterday was Fuel Day 3 Glutes and Hamstrings Supersets. This morning was Yin Yoga with Travis.

I may or may not be online tomorrow, we are going to a Funeral for DH's SIL's mother.

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! Tonight I'm hoping to explore ab workouts with DH, so I may pull out Cathe's ab workouts from Pure Strength. I remember those being pretty simple, and that is pretty much where DH is at right now. :D One thing that I enjoy is cooking, but with doing these workouts right after I get home it doesn't leave a ton of time for anything lengthy. I'm always scouring recipes to see if they are easy to make, but healthy. I love the sheet pan recipes the most.

Thelma, Nice job with those workouts! Glad to hear that your DH made it safe to Boston. Hope everything goes well for your Uncle at home, and that your Aunt improves. Again safe travels for your DH as he ventures home. I'm sure you will be very happy to have him back.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Perfect 30 Low Impact HiiT, Bonus Pyramid HiiT, Core and Extended Stretch. I love this workout. It covers everything in less than an hour.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad your DH made it to Boston safely. I am also happy to hear your aunt and uncle are both doing better. I hope that continues now that he is home.

Laurie, great workouts. I am sorry you are having to attend another funeral. Several years ago I was trying to get my DH to do more core work, so we did the Pure Strength Legs core work. I chose that one because, even though it uses the step, it was straight forward and there were no plants or Supermans or stuff like that. It was really hard for him. I am so used to Cathe and—especially back when she filmed that series—how she just goes from one move into the next without a break. And that is what was so hard for him. So maybe pause between moves so your DH can take a break and, most importantly, preview what is coming up so he knows how to do the move. If I had done that with DH, he would have been much better off. Anyhow…..just some thoughts.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Thursday's workouts were walking and CG Iron Day-8 Glutes & Hamstrings.
I am in love with my new Olympic barbell and 17" plates. This is definitely a game changer. Those plates are so big! I just roll the barbell up my thighs.

    DH is home.
My aunt and uncle are doing OK. Thank you so much for your prayers for my family.

    Laurie great workouts!
I'm sorry you to attend another a funeral.

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Meso 2 Disc 18/Back and Biceps and a 20 minute spin. And I am going to go rake the yard in a minute—the first time this year.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad you are enjoying the new barbell! I bet it is so nice to be able to slide that weight over your legs. I am glad to hear your aunt and uncle are doing okay. I hope they continue to improve. I am also glad your DH made it home safely. Such a long distance to travel for a day. I don’t blame him for being exhausted.

    Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Mine was pretty quiet given DH left again on Saturday. I spent the bulk of both days on indoor and outdoor chores. For workouts, on Saturday I did a really good 45 minute yoga/Pilates combo class from Peloton. I really hope they do more of those. Yesterday was Cathe Live Steptastic. And today was STS 2.0 Lower Body 2 and a 30 minute spin.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, I hope you had a good weekend. Ours was busy with chores around the house as usual. We actually got a good dose of rain on Sunday night and are expected to get more on Wednesday night.

My workouts on Friday were yoga, walking and abs.
    Saturday - walking.
Sunday - walking and CG Fuel Day - 9 Full-on Full Body Circuits.
Monday - walking, yoga and CG Iron Day-10 Back & Biceps.

Laurel, great workouts. I am sorry your DH is away again. I hope he'll get a break from traveling during the holidays.

Great workouts!! Cathe posted an update from the replicator saying that they'll get to their DVS by the end of the week. Hopefully we'll get our DVD's soon. Do you still want to do a rotation on the new program?
BTW, Cathe isn't selling the high heel shoes. She is promoting them and offers a discount code. I don't like that she's doing this because it has nothing to do with fitness. At our age we should be wearing safe and comfortable shoes, not pointy toed high heels.

It's awesome to be able to slide the barbell over my legs.
Thank you so much for those good wishes for my aunt and uncle's health. My aunt tells me she feels fine and that her husband is doing well.
DH traveled 8 hours each way for that meeting. It's insane.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Had the day off yesterday, so I wasn't online. We went to Costco yesterday, of course thinking that it would be less busy than on the weekends. Well it wasn't as busy, but still had a lot of people there. :D It has been nice, rainy and cold weather on and off.

Our workouts where CG's Iron Day 4 Full Body, Iron Day 5 Arms and Abs.

Laurel, Awesome job with those workouts! Thanks for the information on the experience you had with the PS workouts and your DH. I will have to rethink that option. I'm finding that DH is comfortable with Caroline, because she gives a demo of the move beforehand. So what you said about previewing beforehand is probably what I need to look at with ab work options.

Thelma, Love all the workouts! So glad to hear about your Aunt and Uncle, and that they continue to improve with their health. Great news on the barbell, I'm envious of the roll on and off the thigh option. :D I did see that Cathe is promoting those shoes. I actually have a pair of those shoes, and have to say that they are very comfortable. Of course the ones I have are not super high heel, so the company does have other options. ;) I think her Instagram is more of what she personally wants to talk about vs. all fitness all the time.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Upper Body 1 followed by Cathe Live Low Impact HiiT and Core. I felt really tired when I got up this morning, but the minute I started lifting I felt so strong. That tells me I am mentally tired. So I am going to go mow the lawn next for 90 minutes of mindless activity outside. :)

Thelma, great workouts. I am so glad to hear your aunt and uncle are doing okay. I saw the same update in the new workouts. I am about one third of the way through my STS rotation right now, so what I am going to do with these new workout is insert them in as recovery workouts and at least two solid recovery weeks through the remainder of this rotation. I think that will give me a pretty good idea of how I want to use these workouts going forward. I really feel like I have no clue how these workouts are going to feel, so I am hesitant to say I want to do a full rotation with them before trying them. The clips she posted kind of confused me because on one hand they look like recovery, but on the other…..not so much. So I guess we’ll see in a few weeks!

Laurie, great workouts. Is Costco ever quiet? :D It sounds like you have a good plan for your DH and core work. If you wanted to try a Cathe core workout, I would suggest the 2.0 core workouts because she does pause and demonstrate between moves on most of those.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Tuesday's workouts were walking, yoga and CG Fuel Day - 6 QUAD FOCUSED Leg Workout.

    Laurie, great workouts!

It is a miracle my uncle continues to do well. I hope my aunt find out the day of her suregery tody.
Being able to roll the barbell on off and very sweet.
It's good to know that the shoes Cathe is promoting are comortable. Are yours super pointy?

Laurel, great workouts and congratulations on feeling stronger!! I hope you got some rest after mowing.

I won't finish this rotation until early January. I like your idea of incorporating the new worouts into your current rotation as recovery workouts. I am also not sure all workouts are recovery type workouts. She's using weights in some of them. I don't know that I would consider those active rest workouts either.

    See you tomorrow.

    Morning Ladies,

Yesterday DH had a meeting at church, so we opted for a shorter leg workout with Caroline. We did No Repeat Total Quads Workout. I really enjoyed this one. Don't know if it was the no repeat factor, or that it was short. :D It was a very effective workout, and I'm feeling DOMS from it this morning. For my morning workout I did Detox Yoga Flow with Travis.

Laurel, Nice job with those workouts! I hope that your mindless mowing was good for the brain fatigue. You are right Costco is never quiet. :D Thanks for the ab work recommendation. I had forgotten that she gave demo's on that one. I may preview them again, because it has been a while since I did one. That way I know which ones that DH will be able to do without getting frustrated. :D Frustration is the one thing that will make DH not want to do an exercise. It's like rubbing your belly and tapping your head at the same time. That isn't in his wheel house. :)

Thelma, Great job with the workouts! That leg workout is the one that we where suppose to do last night. The shoes are pointy, but still comfortable for me. I can understand that the pointy shoes would probably not be comfortable for you with having issues with your feet. Does it look like Cathe is using heavy weights in the workouts? I have not looked at any thing related to that yet. Maybe that is something that I will look at today.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 45 minute spin into STS Pilates Based Abs. It felt really good to do a longer spin today. Some days I just need a good sweat session, and that was today.

Thelma, great workouts. I am so glad you had a similar reaction to these new workouts as I did. I really am hoping they are recovery, but, based on the clips, some of them kind of looked like normal Cathe workouts, maybe with lighter weights and shorter in length. And since I am still trying to lift heavier weight (as we all are), I am not sure about them. I kind of wonder if they might not be for people who can no longer lift heavier or are just starting to lift at a later stage in life. But…..we’ll find out soon! I could be wildly wrong, which wouldn’t be a first for me. :D

Laurie, great workouts. I love the sound of your yoga workout. When I did the original STS Ab workout this morning, I remembered that Cathe does a lot of cuing on those longer workouts as well. For my DH, finding core work that doesn’t hurt his back and works with his limited flexibility is a challenge. He kind of has to stick with crunches and planks. And, like your DH, if he gets frustrated, that’s the end of that. What about standing core work, though? That STS 2.0 Standing Metabolic Ab routine is pretty basic, and something like that might work. Just tossing out ideas. :)

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, my workout on Wednesday was walking. I didn't intend for Wednesday to be a rest day, but I got into making bread and pizza dough and it took longer than I anticipated.

Laurie, great workouts! I love those short and effective workouts!
It doesn't look like Cathe is using heavy weights on the new videos, but they are not small either.
Pointy shoes are not good for me at all.

    Laurel, great workouts!
I think Cathe's new workouts are for people who can no longer lift heavy.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

We got in our workout last night Iron Day 7 Shoulders and Triceps. This morning I must have hit the off button instead of the snooze, so I slept past my workout timeframe. :D Guess I needed the sleep. DH and I are really working on increasing our weights, and we are both feeling the difference.

Laurel, Great job with those workouts! Nice that you had a good spin session. I looked at a few of the clips from the new series. Some of these workouts would be perfect for DH, since she does go at a slower pace and some of the moves are for sure modified. These workouts will be the ones that I would use in my morning workouts. Thanks for the info on the standing ab workout. He enjoyed the one workout that we did with Brandon Palmer, so I think that would be a good one to try out. The other thing that we can try is a plank challenge, because he really needs to strengthen his core. I found one that starts out with just 20 sec for the first day.

Thelma, Nice job with the walking! We all have those days where our interest get in the way of working out. Sometimes we just need a break, and then our workouts are so much better after that. These workouts are tough on the body. I actually still feel that leg workout today, so it was a good one and I saved it to a playlist for when we need a short leg workout in the future. I've been looking at some of her earlier workouts, just in case I need some upper body workouts that are short too. With the holiday's it just might be a good idea to have them available. I'm really looking forward to these new workouts, just because they look like what I do in the morning's.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Lower Body 1 and Fit/Split Boxing Bootcamp cardio only. My strength is really beginning to improve which makes me happy.

Thelma, sounds like a good reason to take a day off from working out. I’ve promised DH that I will start making my pizza dough again this winter. I made it for years, but have gotten lazy in the past few. But I am looking forward to getting back to it.

Laurie, great workout. Sounds like you needed a break this morning, even if it wasn’t planned. I should probably go look at the clips from the new series again. I think when I watched them, I wasn’t really consciously thinking ‘how will I use this?’ And I should probably look at them through that lens. I did a plank challenge with DH a few years ago, and that went very well. I think that is a great idea.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, my workouts on Thursday were walking, warm yoga and Tracy Steen Standing Abs and Cardio.
We got a really good dose of rain Wednesday night. It rained all night. The current Drought Map is valid through the 12th, so it doesn't include this rain. We are in moderate drought condition. We may have a chance of rain toward the end of next week.

My sourdough bread came out amazing. This is my best loaf yet. I think I'm finally learning to read my dough, but I didn't figure it out on my own. Someone posted a picture of what well proofed dough should looks like and it was a game changer. I hadn't made a loaf in months!

Laurie, great workouts! You obviously needed a little extra rest. Good job in upping your weights. I mentioned last week that I can't lift heavy weights for upper body since my surgery. It's kind of disappointing, but it is what it is.
Caroline's workouts are hard. I always feel the leg workouts for days. I think my body did need a weight from lifting this week.
Someone posted a list on FB about Caroline's shorter workouts, but I didn't pay attention to the post at all, though.

Laurel, great workouts! Congrats on the improved strength.

I have finally perfected my pizza dough recipe. It's a Neapolitan pizza recipe from a famous pizza guru named Vito Iacopelli. We have pizza every Saturday night, so I make a big dough batch that yields 4 pizza balls, and I freeze them. Every Friday night I take a frozen pizza ball and put it in the fridge overnight. I then take out of the fridge three hours before I need it. I tried making sourdough pizza dough, but we didn't like it.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout yesterday was Iron Day 8 Glutes and Hamstrings, 10 Min. Weighted Abs (this one is good) and 20 sec. plank challenge. DH's butt was in the air, so we have room for improvement. :D This morning was mobility work with Cathe. I did Mobility 1, and it felt great after all that leg work.

Laurel, Great job with the workout, and of course gaining strength. I probably will not be using the new workouts as a rotation, but I can see popping them in for extras. Of course I could change my mind after getting them. So far I really liked what I saw. Hopefully the more we do the plank challenge, the further down DH's butt will get. :D I know that when I first started out with planks, my form wasn't all that great. All this talk of pizza dough makes me want to make some too. Do you make your own sauce too?

Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! Sounds like you are really getting the bread down pat. I will have to venture over to get the recipe, we really love pizza. I always enjoy homemade vs store bought. Like Laurel, I get lazy and of course there are other things that seem to take priority. I was surprised at how many short workout that Caroline has. That is what she was creating before she developed Epic 1.

    Have a wonderful weekend,

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Upper Body 2 and a fun 30 minute spin. The deeper I get into each of these six week segments of this rotation, the more energy I have for cardio. And that makes me happy.

Thelma, great workouts. Our drought has gotten so bad. There are reports of cattle farmers needing to sell because they can’t sustain their farms anymore because of lack of water. We had rain all Wednesday as well, but it barely put a dent into the drought. I am still hoping we enter a wetter pattern as we approach winter. I need to get into your habit by making a number of pizza dough balls and freezing them. Thanks for that recommendation.

Laurie, great workouts. No doubt your DHs form will improve on the planks. But that’s a great start. I remember thinking planks were impossible the first time I tried one. :) I used to make my own pizza sauce out of tomato sauce. I just added spices to that and called it sauce. Now I use Rao’s sauce which is also all natural but much tastier.

I think I am going to have pizza for dinner tonight. :D Enjoy the weekend.

Hi ladies, I hope you had a nice weekend. Ours was a nice, quiet weekend with the usual chores around the house.

My workouts on Friday were walking, yoga and CG Iron Day-7 Shoulders & Triceps.
    Saturday - walking.
Sunday - walking and CG Fuel Day - 8 POSTERIOR CHAIN Circuits.

Cathe sent an update on the new DVDs. It sounds like we will be getting them in early December!

Laurie, great workouts! Great idea to do a plank challenge. I would suggest finding a good 'how to' video for your DH. It might help if he can see the proper form and how to set it up.

Since i started making our own pizza dough and sauce, we can't imagine going out for pizza anymore. I recently started making my own sauce when I couldn't find my favorite sauce anywhere.

Somebody posted this playlist on FB. It claims the workouts are 20 minutes long, but I saw some between 25-28 minutes long on that playlist.

Laurel, great workouts! How wonderful that you have more energy for cardio with this new rotation!

I can't believe the farmers in your area are selling because they can't sustain their farms due to the lack of water. The drought is pretty bad. This is the second year we have to deal with a drought. We may get some showers on Tuesday. So far nothing that will make a dent.
If you're going to make pizza dough, you might as well make a big batch and freeze it. I do the same with my pizza sauce. I make it with one 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes, one 15oz can of fire roasted tomatoes, minced garlic sauteed in a tbsp minced garlic, lots of Italian seasoning and about 2 tbsp shredded parmesan cheese, salt and a little sugar. I know how much sauce I use per pizza, so I weigh the right amount of sauce into freezer bags and freeze for future use.

    Have a wonderful week!

    Morning Ladies,

We had a really nice relaxing weekend. I ended up making bread, this was loaves. I'm trying to find a nice sandwich bread, just want DH to get away from buying the bread from the store. Well the one that I made on Saturday was perfect, it's soft but holds together enough to make sandwiches. Of course one loaf is already gone. We had to try it out toasted cheese sandwiches. :D That was delicious. :D

We did Fuel Day 9 Full Body Circuits on Saturday. My workout this morning was Cathe's STS 2.0 Stranding Abs.

Laurel, Great job with the workouts, and of course gaining energy. Sound like you have the right combo of strength training/cardio. I tried out one of the standing ab workouts from STS this morning, and I'm fairly confident that DH will be able to do that one. I know that I was motivated to make dough this weekend, but nothing in the pizza department. I'll probably venture into that area next weekend. Dang on the drought. It's hard to sustain a business when the weather is a factor.

Thelma, Love the workouts! Thanks for the playlist, that is the Advent rotation. Sounds like a really tasty sauce recipe, will have to try it out when I get the chance. This time of the year is so busy, it can get hard to do dough type items. I made the youngest dd some bread on Sunday, and I let the second rise go a little to long. The bread was a little high, but still good. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Mine was pretty quiet with DH away. I did some indoor and outdoor chores as well as some reading and working on a puzzle. For workouts, on Saturday I did 45 minutes of peloton yoga. Yesterday was X10 Low Impact into STS Meso 3, Week 2, Disc 29 Plyo Legs and STS Weights and Plates abs. Today was STS Meso 3 Disc 28 Chest and Back, a 30 minute spin and 2.0 Chair Yoga.

Thelma, great workouts. We are supposed to get rain tomorrow, but I still don’t think it will do much to fix our drought. I am still hoping for a rainier pattern going into December. I use my break machine to make dough, so it makes balls big enough for one pizza. What I really need to do is just fire it up and make four at a time so we have Friday Pizza dough for each week of the month. Of course, with how often DH is here these days, four balls would probably last two months. :( Your sauce sounds delicious!

Laurie, great workouts. I am glad you think your DH may be able to do that Standing Abs routine. I have really grown to like that one. Your bread sounds delicious.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Monday's workouts were, walking, yoga and CG Iron Day 9 - Full Body Dumbbell Cardio.

We are hoping for a little rain on Tuesday, but a showery forecast isn't giving us a lot of hope.

I gave some of my sourdough bread to my yoga studio owners, who have been in the restaurant business in the past, they wouldn't stop praising the bread. I was so happy they'd loved it. DH loved the loaf I made last week. I'm going to attempt to reproduce it again this week for DH. It's a good thing I write everything down!

Laurie, nice job making the sandwich bread! I haven't been successful in making a sandwich bread DH would give the store-bought bread for. I actually, only tried once, and the good thing is that the bread turned into really good French Toast bread. I turned the recipe into cinnamon raisin bread and it's amazing.

    Great job with your workouts!
Your welcome on the Advent playlist. Now that you found a good sandwich bread recipe, you may have to make it more frequently for the family. The sandwich/cinnamon raisin bread I make has sourdough and yeast, and sometimes I want to see how high it would rise, but I'm afraid to overproof it.

    Laurel, great workouts.
I also hope we have a rainy December.
We have one of those food vacuum machines and DH vacuum packs the frozen pizza balls, so they could easily last a couple of months, if not longer in the freezer. Maybe you should split the pizza balls into two or three pieces to make individual pizzas for your yourself.

    See you tomorrow!
