Hi ladies, Monday's workout were walking and CG Fuel Day - 14 Dumbbell FULL BODY TEMPO.

I discovered two Pilates instructor in YT. They both use resistance bands and weights.
    Kristen B - KBodySculpt
    https://www.youtube.com/@KBodySculpt

Marie Steffen - The Art of Health
    https://www.youtube.com/@MarieSteffen

Laurie, good job with that workout and decorating the church.

    Laurel, great workouts!
I noticed today that some trees are still full of leaves.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Yesterday afternoon my left shoulder started to really hurt. I don't know why so we didn't workout last night. This morning it is quite a bit better, but I didn't do anything upper body. I also found a new instructor for Yin Yoga, and two thumbs up for the workout that I did.

My workout this morning was Yoga with Shaunneka Morning Yin Yoga Stretch. She focused on the knees. I really enjoyed the opening movement, and I will have to do this workout at least once a week.

Laurel, Great job with all those workouts! Glad that you had such a nice weekend, and spent the time outdoors even though it involved raking leaves. Our leaves where the same way this year, we had one tree that still had leaves on it when the snow was falling. We may have snow today, and then back into the single digits for temps. Thanks for the information on the new workouts. I know that she usually list the equipment for the workouts, so I will have to read that information to set up my space.

Thelma, Nice job on the workouts! Thanks for the new instructors, both look really good and I will have to try some of them out. I'm starting to accumulate so many instructors that I like on yt.

    Have a great day!

Hi ladies, Tuesday's workouts were walking, Yin and CG Iron Day 15 - Shoulders. I'm having a good workout week. My shoulders, upper back and glutes have worked really hard this week and I'm feeling the workouts.

We had rain on and off during the day and heavy rain bands on Tuesday night.

Laurie, sorry about your shoulder. Please be very careful. You should ice it even if it feels better. I would also lower the weights you're using and make sure you execute each move carefully and with proper form.
Good job with the yoga class. I'll have to check her classes out.
I've also accumulated a long list of YT instructors.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Cold morning, and we are suppose to have some snow this afternoon. :/

Our workout last night was cardio and we did PJ's Cardio AMRAP. She did both high and low impact, and no shoulder issues. This morning was another Yin Yoga session with Shaunneka. Perfect Morning Yin Yoga Sequence.

Thelma, Great job with the workouts! Glad to hear that you are feeling good about how your body is responding. Thanks for the information on the shoulder, I will do the icing. Don't need a shoulder injury.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I got a phone call when I was posting and just forgot to come back to it. Oops. My mind these days. Anyhow, yesterday’s workout was Rock’m Sock’m Knockout and LMR Functional Core with Bonus. Today was STS Meso 1 Disc 9/Legs followed by a 20 minute spin. I have done all of the LMR workouts now, and by and large I think it is a good series. I don’t think I will do a rotation of just these workouts (at least while my body is still relatively healthy), but I want to work them in to my routine because I think the benefits of the balance and core focus will help keep my body healthy.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad you are feeling strong this week. We went from 70 degrees and humid yesterday to snow flakes this morning. Crazy weather pattern, but the rain we got this week was very welcome for sure.

Laurie, great workouts. I am glad your shoulder isn’t giving you any more problems. I hope you don’t get too much snow.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, my workouts on Wednesday were walking and Cathe LMR Functional Core Fusion. I really liked this LMR workout, but I do think Cathe wasted too much time on the warmup. There was no need for such a long warmup for a core workout. The hamstring part was kind of brutal at the end!
I was happy that I could do the pushups on the ball and the roll ups over the ball.

I had to take my cat to the vet again. She couldn't pee. I had just taken her to the vet on Monday to make sure the UTI was gone. The vet thinks she has idiopathic cystitis. Inflammation of the bladder's lining. This could be caused my stress. Cats are good at hiding things. This cat sleeps all day and I don't know what she could be stress about, except that maybe she perceives DH is very stressed with work, or she has arthritis pain. Anyway, it was a long day.

We got a little snow on Wednesday morning, and it was cold, but not windy.

Laurie, great workouts! I hope your commute home wasn't too bad.

Take it from me, you DON'T need a shoulder injury. I'm glad your shoulder is doing better.

Laurel, I had the feeling you'd forgotten to hit POST.
Great workouts. I agree with you about not wanting to do a LMR rotation. I do like what I'm doing now by incorporating it in my CG rotation. It will give my body more recovery time between CG workouts, which I definitely need. I feel these workouts will be very beneficial this way.
We are definitely getting the same storm systems.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

We didn't get a lot of snow, but this morning the temp was a big zero!

Our workout was another PJ Fitness, and we did Upper Body Conditioning / No Repeats. I went super light with the shoulder work. So far so good with the shoulder. This morning I did another Yin Yoga with Shaunneka. She just put out a Winter Whispers workout, and was in her pj's. :D Had to try it. :D

Laurel, Know how that goes with the posting. Great job with the workouts! Glad that you enjoyed all the new workouts. Balance work is the reason that I really want to do these workouts. I'm kind of waiting for the user guide, just want to see what she has for recommendations. I really would love to see how she would incorporate these workout with the STS 2.0 or other series.

Thelma, Sorry to hear that your cat is having issues still. Love your workouts! Interesting that the warm up is so long. We are having the wind with this cold, and it is brutal. I don't mind cold. Hopefully DH and I will be able to incorporate more of Cathe's workouts with Caroline.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Cathe Live 40/20 Low Impact HiiT and the Medicine Ball core work from STS. I did both the solo and partner workouts on the latter, but I was solo all the way through. But I find the second part is still a good workout without a partner so I enjoyed it because it was something different.

Thelma, great workouts. I agree about the warm up on the core workout. I thought for sure on that one we would be doing some standing core work, especially given the more dynamic warm up, so I was surprised when she said ‘let’s take it to the mat’. When I do it as an add on I may skip the warm up which would make the core part a more manageable length than the 30 minutes it is with warm up and cool down. I hope your kitty is okay. No doubt you are exhausted.

Laurie, great workouts. But I certainly don’t envy that low temperature. I don’t miss those days at all. I am surprised how long it is taking to get the User’s Guide out for these new workouts, but apparently it is the loading them into the workout manager that creates the delay. But I am curious how she combines these workouts with other series as well, including 2.0 for sure.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Thursday's workouts were just walking.
My cat is thankfully doing better and is peeing normally. Yaay!

Laurie, great workouts! Good job taking it easy with the shoulder. Stay warm!

    Laurel, great workouts!
Great idea to skip the warm up on that core workout when you do it as an add on. I'm seriously considering not buying anymore Cathe workouts. I have too many DVDs and there are plenty of instructors online that I like.

I was definitely exhausted with the trips to the vet and worrying about my cat. She's better but now I know that this is something that is going to keep coming back. This morning, I waited for the ophthalmologist for 1.5 hours. He's always behind because he has too many patients.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout yesterday was PJ's Lower Body Compounds + Core Stability. This morning I did a short Pilates workout with Deanndria.

Laurel, Love the workouts! Have to remember that I have those workouts, and the partner workout might be a good one to do with DH. We may have a few laughs doing it though. :D Oh yes that was the reason the user guide was so late. Of course I could always look at the workout manager to see if they have loaded some.

Thelma, Nice workouts! Glad to hear that your cat is doing better. I will probably be of the same mine as you are with my Cathe purchases. There is just so much content out. I have actually stopped my RAW subscription. I have plenty of her DVD's if I want to pop in a workout of hers.

    Have a great weekend,

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Meso 1 Disc 8/Back and Triceps followed by Cathe’s live class from yesterday which was Cardio Core Onto the Floor. It was a short 27 minute workout with about 15 minutes of cardio and standing core and 10 minutes of core time on the mat. It was perfect after a Meso 1 workout and before I go spend a few hours raking leaves.

Thelma, glad to hear your kitty is doing better. Anything over a 30 minute wait for a doctor gets on my nerves. 90 minutes is ridiculous. I understand about buying more DVDs. I will have to see what she offers up in the future, but I kind of think I would only be interested in more pure strength training DVDs like 2.0 or something similar. My cardio needs are changing and can be met by Peloton or Cathe Live. I think it is time for me to start letting go of some DVDs as well.

Laurie, great workouts. The partner workout is really good. DH and I did it together once and our ball was flying all over the room. But laughing works the core too, so we got something accomplished at least. It didn’t help that he is 9” taller than me for sure. But it was fun.

    Enjoy the weekend.

Hi ladies, I hope you had a good weekend. Ours was incredibly busy, but good and rainy! We got a lot of rain.

My workouts on Friday were walking and yoga.
    Saturday - walking.
Sunday - walking and Tracy Steen Standing Abs and Low Impact Cardio.

    Laurie, great workouts!
If I subscribe to anything it will be the CG app, but no more DVDs for me.

    Laurel, great workouts!
I have no idea why the ophthalmologist runs so far behind all the time now. My rheumatologist is the same, but at least I know it's not her doing. They have this crazy policy that allows people to be 15 minutes late for their appointment. Needless to say, people arrive 15 minutes late, so her schedule falls behind due to the late, inconsiderate patients. She can't just see the person who arrived on time, she has to wait for those who are late.

I need to donate some DVDs to the library or someplace who accepts them around here.

    Have a wonderful week!

    Morning Ladies,

We had a busy weekend. Our weather was misty. :D I was making cookies all day on Saturday. Yesterday I mixed up a batch of cut out cookies, made bread and tried out a short rib recipe. We are planning on having short ribs for Christmas Eve, and I didn't want to present something that I didn't have confidence in making. It turned out to be delish. Of course I made mashed potatoes, and had the fresh bread. DH was in heaven. :D

Our Saturday workout was some Yin Yoga with Travis. DH did okay with that one. This morning I did Cathe's Day 1 Christmas Challenge. It was a fun 6 min. cardio workout. I followed that up with Yin Yoga with Shaunneka.

Laurel, Great job with those workouts! I agree with you on the type of Cathe workouts that I would purchase. Like you it would have to be something like 2.0. Since DH and I are only 2" apart, then we shouldn't have to many problems with the partner workout. Still think we will have some laughs with it.

Thelma, Nice job on the workouts! Glad to hear that your area received some rain. The CG app is still tempting us, but I'm still finding so many other instructors and of course have all my DVD's. Not many places want DVD's anymore.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Ours was good. DH made it home Saturday afternoon, and it is so nice to have him back. Hopefully he will be home for at least a month this time. We ran a few errands and took a couple of walks, but yesterday was very foggy and drizzling so our walk was pretty short.

For workouts, on Saturday I did the STS 2.0 Active Recovery and Total Body Stretch workout. Yesterday was Strong and Sweaty Cardio Slam followed by 30 minutes of Yoga plus Pilates from Peloton. Today was 2.0 Trisets Total Body and a 20 minute spin.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad you got some rain as well. As of the end of last week, we are still in a severe drought in our area of Alabama, so all moisture is welcome. I can’t believe your doctor has a policy of letting people arrive late. While I understand that some situations are unavoidable (closed roads due to accidents and such), so some leniency is needed, but a standard across-the-board policy seems strange. But at least you know and can be prepared for it when you go.

Laurie, sounds like a nice weekend of good food. I have only made one batch of cookies this year, and I sent that to one of my sisters in Denver. I think DH and I will bake next week when he is off work, but I want to keep it at a minimum to encourage him to continue to lose weight and take care of his blood sugar situation. We may have a willpower war next week with him arguing for more cookies and me less. Somehow I think he might just win. B) Great workouts. I saw a little of that Cathe workout and it looked good!

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, I'm glad you both had great weekends. We are getting more rain here tonight. Yaay!
My workouts on Monday were walking, Warm YinYasa and CG Fuel Day - 11 LEGS CLUSTER SETS.
I was fast forwarding through a Travis Elliot power yoga workout and a lot of the poses are the same poses we do at my warm yinyasa classes. They are definitely more advanced than anything else I've done before. I feel good to know that I'm doing something considered power yoga.

Laurie, yummy cookies! Learning to make cookies is on my bucket list. My bucket list has evolved into baking. LOL. That short rib recipe sounds good! Please share it with us! You're like me, I have to try the recipe before offering it to other than DH and I. LOL I am sure your DH was in heaven.

Great workouts! How is your DH liking yoga? Did you give up on the Iron/Fuel rotation?

There are a couple of places here that will take DVDs. I am very tempted by the CG app, but keep thinking that CG has those other free programs I've yet to do.

Laurel, I'm so happy you got your DH back home with you.

    Great workouts!

As of last week, we are at moderate drought level. I really hope the rain we got over the weekend and what we're getting now will make a dent in these dry conditions.
It's insane that my doctor's office has that insane policy. It drives my doctor insane because she has to apologize to the few patients who get there early and have to wait an hour for her. She also gets yelled at by patients who angry about having to wait for her, yet they arrived late. The policy is the hospital's policy. They used to require for you to be there 15 minutes prior to the appointment. I'll just have to bring my tablet to my appointments so I can read my book. Sometimes I walk in place.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout yesterday after work was STS 2.0 Total Body Giant Sets Express #1. I had the need for a Cathe workout, and I figured that with all the Caroline that DH has done, this one would be okay to do. He did just fine. This morning I did a Harmonious Stretch with Shaunneka.

Laurel, Glad that your weekend was a good one. Awesome job with the workouts! We will be putting some of the cookies in the freezer for sure. At least we can enjoy them for a longer period of time. The first day of baking is when the most cookies get eaten, and then it isn't so bad after that. I didn't try Cathe's Day 2 workout, it appears to be a full body weight workout. She did indicate that we could use light weights though.

Thelma, Great job with the workouts! Nice that the yoga you are doing now is on par with Travis's power yoga. I love baking. Probably get that from my Mom, she would bake something every day of the week. Funny how we always had baked goods in our house when growing up, but none of us where over weight. We where really active though. Yep I think that DH and I have given up on the Caroline for a bit. He is pretty much letting me decide what we are going to do, and right now I need some Cathe time. :D So far we will be following her 8 week program, but use the express options.

Here is the recipe that I used. https://recipetineats.com/braised-beef-short-ribs-in-red-wine-sauce/

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was LITE Cardio Party with the Calorie Crush and Six Pack Abs 1. It was a lot of fun this morning.

I don’t know if you saw that the User’s Guide for LMR has been posted. Hopefully this link works in case you haven’t seen it. I really like the look of some of the rotations.

    https://cathe.com/download-cathes-lmar-users-guide/

Thelma, great workouts. We got hit with a huge thunderstorm in the middle of the night last night. I wasn’t expecting that, but it did dump a lot of rain on us. I think we might be getting out of this drought after all…..finally. Great job with the yoga moves!

Laurie, great workouts. I am glad your DH did okay with that Cathe workout. Thanks for the recipe! DH would love me to make something like that. I may give it a try over the holidays.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Monday's workouts were walking, Yin, and CG Iron Day 12 - Chest & Triceps.

I woke up to heavy rain. There's no more rain in our forecast though.

Laurie, great workouts! I'm so glad to hear your DH did fine with Cathe's workouts.

I am feeling like I want to do the Iron rotation again.

My grandmother used to bake from time-to-time for us, but no one else in the family baked. I'm enjoying this baking thing and can't wait to try other things sourdough to challenge myself with.

Thanks for that recipe! It sounds great. I've never made short ribs before. I don't even remember seeing short ribs at the supermarket.

It might be nice for you to do a Cathe rotation with your DH. He should definitely be ready for Cathe.

    Laurel, great workouts!
Thanks for posting the LMR User Guide link for us. I hadn't seen it.

I'm glad you got rain too. We didn't get the thunderstorm.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

I had a hair appointment yesterday so we didn't get in a workout. This morning was another Yin Yoga session with Shaunneka.

Laurel, Love the workouts! Always fun to see that Cardio Party posted. Thanks for the link to the user guide. I like the looks of the rotation with the low impact workouts interspersed with it. That seems to be a doable thing for me. Those HiTT workouts are not long, and I know I would enjoy them. ;) Now I need to see how I can incorporate these with the STS workouts, and not over do things. My first option of course in trying the express workouts, and not the full ones to start out.

Thelma, Nice workouts! You are getting rain, and we will be getting snow in the next two days. :) I was tempted by the Iron rotation, and we will probably go back to that one when we are done with these STS workouts. At first I was going to just do the Iron ones, but Cathe's workouts where just sitting there tempting me. :D I have seen so many sour dough recipes that people are putting out for so many different things. It's crazy what they are trying the dough with.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Super Sets Total Body, LMR Level 2 Core bonus, and a 20 minute spin. Everything felt good today.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad you are enjoying baking. I have always loved to bake and in another life I think I would have tried to become a pastry chef. I just find it so relaxing. I really wish I could say the same for cooking. It is amazing how different those two things—baking vs cooking— feel to me. We are about to be hit with a pretty good storm from the looks of things and then the temperature is supposed to drop. I think this will be our last rain for awhile as well.

Laurie, great workout. I think it would be a bit difficult to merge 2.0 and LMR unless you substitute out some of the 2.0 workouts for the LMR workouts. In other words, if you are doing the three 2.0 Total Body workouts in a week, take out one of those and add in the LMR Total Body workout. But I really don’t know how that would feel to be honest. Anyhow, that low impact cardio rotation is the one that caught my eye as well.

    See you tomorrow.
