    Hi everyone,

    February 29, 2008 - 217 (All-time highest weight before I joined)
    Goal Range - 132-140
    December Starting Weight - 152.2
December Goal - 148 (or less)

Here's the update for today (in pounds):

    12/01 - 152.2
    12/02 - 153.2
    12/03 - 153.6
    12/04 - 154.6

    Total UP/DOWN to date (from 12/01): UP - 2.4

My weight bumped up since my restart, but with the Thanksgiving 4-day weekend and my company's holiday party this past Monday, that's to be expected. (I'm sure I can fix it over the next several days.)

Today is only FOUR WEEKS until 2025, can you believe it?

    Have a great day!

    Starting Weight 164
    December Goal 156
    Goal weight: 130

    12/2: 164
    12/4: 160

Bloat is gone from TOM! I like weighing in every other day, bc everyday discourages me if I don’t see anything positive happen. Otherwise I go down a hole and eat everything bc it’s “not working”. Doing good, not eating my kids leftovers is hard. Trying to get more steps in, but between appts and swim lessons these next few days I have to skip my lunch hour so no walking. Staying tight on calories and went with one big BBQ meal yesterday for lunch or just sausage, beans, and chicken (with lots of jalapeños and pickles) and a slice of banana bread. Hoping to hit the December goal weight by the time my rents come next week and then ride it out til the end of the month by being mindful. We got this everyone!

    FIRST HALF OF THE MONTH:

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

    12/01-194.2-(Trend Weight 192.0)-

    12/02-192.8-(Trend Weight 192.0)-

12/03-191.8-(Trend Weight 192.0)- These are my stats from a different challenge. Wow, what a bad year 2024 has been for weight loss for me!!! Up 12.6 from Jan 1st to December 1st. Up 16.2 lbs from my lowest on March 1st. Something is not working physically, mentally, emotionally. I’ve got to figure this out!

    Jan 1st 2024 – 181.6 (trend 180.3)

    October 1st, 2024 – 193.6 (trend 193.8)

    November 1st 2024 – 190.6 (trend 192.1)

    December 1st 2024 – 194.2 (trend 192.0)

12/04-DNW-(Trend Weight DNW)- I woke up a little later than usual and completely forgot to weight. That’s what happens when I do my morning routine out of order. I must remember to weigh in BEFORE I go out to fill the food for the squirrels and birds. I immediately come back in and pour my coffee and begin gulping (and warming my hands around the mug) making it too late to weigh after that. I traveled yesterday and had both breakfast (after the dental cleaning) and then dinner out. I felt bloated, once home and still feel “larger”. It probably was a higher weight anyway. Maybe by tomorrow I will feel more back to normal.

    Hi Everyone!
I'm Cindy and 51 and have been married to my very supportive husband for 27 years. We have a daughter who is 19.
I can't believe its December!🎄⛄ 2024 has not been my year for loosing weight. However, I did get a gym membership in July and go consistently. Usually 4 days a week, so I consider that a win. I do feel more fit even if the scale doesn't reflect it.
The November goal of logging my food was met the last half of the month and I started to see a little change in weight.

    April 2020 - 165
    Goal - 140
    December Starting Weight - 159
    December Goal - 155

    12/1 - 159 ⬇️
12/2 - 158.8 ⬇️ Made it to the gym after work. Logged my food.
    12/3 - 158.6 ⬇️
12/4 - 159 ⬆️ Ugh! I worked out hard yesterday. This is so frustrating.

Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I skipped this challenge for November and it was an epic fail. The first month since I started this journey that I gained weight. So I am back , probably for the rest of my life LOL! Was trying to cut back on my screen time, but logging in daily really keeps me on track. Besides that, missed you all too! 💗

    👣 14K Steps per day
    🚶‍♀️‍➡️ Walk daily

    🎄 December 🎄

    🥅 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️📝🥗 🫀🏋️‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️ 💦

    Week One

Goals prior day, weight current day.

Dec 1: DNW - 👣 💦 Just got home from our trip. I did not meet many of my goals, but did mangage to complete 15K 👣 steps, a 2.5 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️walk, and met my water 💦 goal. Had a wonderful time, ate too much, drank too much Scared to see what the scale says tomorrow AM - but will leave it all behind -no known distractions until December 21.

Dec 2: 143.7 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️🏋️‍♀️💦 I guess it could have been a lot worse. Technically I am within the maintenance range of my goal weight, but I don't like going into the "overweight category" so am going to change that goal weight to 137, with a 3 pound window instead of a 5. So back in losing mode starting today. 15K 👣 Steps, 🚶‍♀️‍➡️3.5 Mile Walk, 35 Min 🏋️‍♀️ Strength.

Dec 3: 142.7 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️📝🥗 🫀💦 Losing some of the weekend binge (salt). Bingo night with Mom, saved room for the normal dessert - had a very small piece of left over pumpkin pie from Thanksgiving - but it fit in my calorie range! 21.2K Steps, 4.5 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️walk, 40 Min 🫀 Cardio, 338 🥗 Calorie deficit.

Dec 4: 141.4 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️📝🥗 🏋️‍♀️💦 Got my tree up, today will work on the rest. We love our little tree (just 4 feet). It sits on top of my Mother in Laws Christmas Tree table. It's nice to put the presents under the table - so they don't spread out into the room. She also made the tree skirt when Greg was little. It has withheld many a tree over the years. Even though it is stained with tree sap - I love it! They cut down a small tree from their yard. The Christmas Tree table was placed in the middle of the room. On Christmas Eve, after dinner and before opening presents, we would all hold hands and dance around the tree (they sang Danish Christmas Carols). I don't have room for it in the middle of our family room, but love the memory. I also did a little onlilne shopping. 15.8K Steps, 70 Min 3.5 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️walk, 35 Min 🏋️‍♀️Strength, 473 Calorie Deficit

Dec 5: 141.2 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️📝🥗 🫀💦 Finished decorating for Christmas. Now today's job put away all the boxes that are just thrown in the living room. Pictures in spoiler. Greg's Mom made most of the stockings. I knew that I was part of the family when she made one for me. She made them for each of our pets over the years, so when Monty came along I did my best to make her proud and made one for him. She also made this beautiful embrodery wall hanging, and Ceramic Christmas tree (when ceramic classes were a thing). The Tree is also a music box. We can feel her love every Christmas when we put out all of her special things. As far as the diet front - used every bit of my total calories burned - just 33 calories left on the table. 22.2K Steps, 115 Min 5.3 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️walk, 28 Min 🫀 Cardio, 33 Calorie Deficit.

@iLive2Walk Oh, I remember the days in the 1970's of ceramic classes and ceramic stores. I used to go shopping and pick out such wonderful things to take home and paint. Then I would take it back up to the store where they would put them in the kiln's. It was a wonderful hobby and made some beautiful art for very young broke girls like me. It also made wonderful and personal gifts! Your pictures are lovely.

@andreajlnhe stick around! Were you on here before? Your name is familiar. Did you start at 160lb? Because you’re super close to your goal of 121lb. Fantastic! Persistence pays off. Perseverance!

@ozdeelite Hi! Yes, I have been here before. I was here in September 2023 for about 6-7 months. I reached my then goal of 125 lbs; then I stopped daily logging and weighing in. I had some celebrations and a vacation, which was fine, but I never went back to it after vacation. I did pop in here once or twice, but dropped out long before the month was over. So, goal #1 is to check in daily for the whole month.
I remember you. I remember you had some frustrations in the beginning, but you kept going, and now I see you have lost a lot of weight! Congratulations on your loss!

    @iLive2Walk amazng Christmas tree.

Back from Sydney. Suffering fibromyalgia flare up. So sore weak and tired. I need further studies to see if my bladder contracts, then maybe a trial bladder modulator and tubes up my spine to test electrode activity to my brain. In the meantime I need to learn to self catheterise but cannot until the nurse comes back in January. The study to diagnose bladder contractions costs $850 or I have to wait on public system 6-12 months. Basically it will take up to 4 years on the public system to do all the studies and trials required. Not happy. But self catheterising is what needs to happen. At least then I am not permanently sticks with an in dwelling catheter.

Ate terribly- Krispy Kreme and one meal a day. Caught up with old friend. I’m the brunette with glasses. Saw Chinese gardens got stuck in traffic for hours and am exhausted.

    15.8K 👣Steps, 70 Min 3.5 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️walk, 35 Min 🏋️‍♀️Strength, 473 🥗 Calorie Deficit

    22.2K 👣Steps, 115 Min 5.3 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️walk, 28 Min 🫀 Cardio, 33 🥗 Calorie Deficit.

Dec 6: 141 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️📝🥗 🫀🏋️‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️ 💦 Our first measurable snowfall yesterday. Got some exercise shoveling the drive! Today need to clean up all the boxes that the Christmas stuff was in and put them back in storage. Also need to finish shopping and start wrapping - we celebrate a little earlier to work around Allyson's work schedule so just 15 days to go! I got all types of exercise done yesterday! Even the stretch workout that I dread very week.

    16.9K 👣 Steps, 50 Min 2.6 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️walk, 22 Min 🫀 Elliptical, 15 min 🏋️‍♀️ Strength, 20 Min 🧘‍♀️ Pilates, 35 Min ❄️Shoveling. Just barely made my calorie goal - 32 🥗 Calorie Deficit.

    12/5 - 158.4 ⬇️
    12/6 - 158 ⬇️

    Hi everyone,

    February 29, 2008 - 217 (All-time highest weight before I joined)
    Goal Range - 132-140
    December Starting Weight - 152.2
December Goal - 150 (or less)

Here's the update for today (in pounds): On my way back down again - YAY!

    12/01 - 152.2
    12/02 - 153.2
    12/03 - 153.6
    12/04 - 154.6
    12/05 - 154.6 (NO change!)
    12/06 - 153.8

Total UP/DOWN to date (from 12/01 restart date): UP - 1.6

Note my revised December goal. I don't think it's realistic at this point for me to expect to get below 150 by the new year. I'll be happy if I can get down to 150 and start the new year in the "home stretch" toward my goal.

Hi @ozdeelite; I'm sorry to hear about your fibromyalgia! My sister has that, along with rheumatoid arthritis. I'm sorry about the catheter too! That's a LOT to deal with! GREAT pictures! I love your glasses!

Hi Darlene, @iLive2Walk - (Shoveling already!) WOW, you're so close to goal! That's AWESOME!

    Enjoy your day,
    💗Carole

    Goal weight: 130

Did my hour walk over lunch yesterday and psyching myself up for the it again today. Donuts were brought into work this morning and I am resisting hard. Yesterday was crazy for calories. My watch said I burned 850 active between the walk and wrestling with a darn Xmas tree and decorations for two hours. My 4yo was so happy though and is ecstatic to be back on lights duty. He asked where all the presents were lol (I am so behind on wrapping). Ended out the day with a double cheese burger from McDonald’s bc my car battery died and I had a massive headache by the end of the night. So yesterday was a whirlwind. Getting closer to my December goal!

My name is Donna. I am 5’ 5” tall, 64 years old and from Michigan USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!
    250’s; 240’s; 230’s; 220's; 210's; 200's; 190's; 180’s; 170's; 160's; 150’s

This Challenge Starting Weight (from Nov 30th): 193.0
    Goal: 189.0 (Four lb Loss)

    Total Lost/Gained this month: xxxxx

**********************ONE DAY, ONE STEP, ONE DECISION AT A TIME********************

    FIRST HALF OF THE MONTH:

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

12/05-197.6-(Trend Weight 192.8)- WTH? Yeah, you read that right. I wasn’t convinced so I was like Santa and checked it twice! Yuck, Yuck and More Yuck!!! The schools are closed today due to winter storm warning so my grandson is here early and the weekend has begun. Clearly I have to be on my toes all weekend as I can’t afford to cave into the normal weekend temptations often offered by my Foodie daughter. Our Thanksgiving dinner was Saturday evening. Leftovers are gone now and it’s time to get to work. I must remember that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Here We go!!!

12/06-193.8-(Trend Weight 192.9)- I took my prescribed water pill yesterday that I haven’t taken in weeks. I’m supposed to take one per day due to the “old ticker” not pumping well and not pushing those fluids through to my kidneys. This helped with a nice scale drop today. I also had a very low calorie/low carb day yesterday on purpose to help offset some of the tremendous gain after the Saturday feast and the Tuesday travel. This is very likely my true weight now and where I’m starting (re-starting) from. I’m going to focus on the next 5 pounds. That feels so much more do-able than looking at the big picture right now. It will get me back into the 180’s though not solidly as I do still like to see that 7 on the end (as in 187 or better). Have a great weekend everyone!

Ate nearly a whole box of Guylian seashells so gained half a kilo. Still feeling quite tired. Going away again on 16th and feel like I need to rest.

Added more pics of Chinese garden. Really was gorgeous

Prior Weeks

Got a little housework done, did some online shopping. Today meeting my sisters at Foxwoods for a little high stakes Bingo game. My Aunt is up from Florida for the holidays and didn't get to go on our Girls Weekend trip this year, so we are doing this with her instead. Should be fun - bringing my own lunch!

@walea617 Logging in daily is something that takes a while to get used to. At first I struggled with the flucuations, but now they just help to keep me on track. Great job with the alcohol at the party. I do the same when I am out - I'd rather eat my calories than drink them. I usually have them put my seltzer water in a wine glass. Everything tastes better in a wine glass.

@deepwoodslady Glad that the water pills worked. Yes, agreed the overall picture is way to overwhelming - small steps (and look back at how far you've come). "Baby steps count, too, as long as you go forward. You add them all up, and one day you look back and you'll be surprised at where you might get to". I am using your "7" rule as my goal weight this time around - won't stop until I get to 137, so as to be easier to never get go over 140 again. How is the house coming?

@ozdeelite So sorry to hear that you are still struggling with your health issues. I sure hope things work out for you. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful pictures. That garden was beautiful, and your cooking is always a delight.

@andreajlnhe So sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well - but am happy to see you back! You were an inspiration to me! Now that I am in "maintenance mode" - well kind-of, I failed at it in November am glad that you are hear for me to see how it is done

@cinw1501 Sometime the workouts just don't make sense, sometimes it takes a day for them to register. You've got this - "Trust your journey, your speed doesn't matter forward is forward". Wesley Snipes.

@kebass01 Welcome back! I took a month off myself - and the result wasn't successful either. And I agree - gaining is much more fun - but we've got this. Visit from Mom may be a tough time, but you've got this. We are here for you!

@ladychr0nic You started this journey almost exactly where I did two years ago (I was 228). You can do it - persistance not perfection is the answer!

@koeitjlesa So glad you are back! I love my daily math lesson to see how far you have come. I don't think it's fair for you - .5 kg doesn't sound anywhere near as good at 1.1 pounds! Good for you.

    12/05-197.6-(Trend Weight: 192.8)-

12/06-193.8-(Trend Weight: 192.9)- I took my prescribed water pill yesterday that I haven’t taken in weeks. I’m going to focus on the next 5 pounds which will likely take me awhile. It will get me back into the 180’s though not solidly as I do still like to see that 7 on the end (as in 187 or better). My goal per round is any loss so anything each round will help get me to that 5 lbs and I will be grateful one ounce at a time. So….. my focus will be 10 days at a time and 5 lbs at a time. That feels so much more do-able than looking at the big picture right now. That’s why we are here, right? Just give me 10 days!

12/07-192.4-(Trend Weight: 192.8)-What a pathetic year this has been for me. Looking over my records I see that on Dec 31, 2023 I ended the year at 183.8. On my other challenges which are weekly or monthly my goal is always set to lose 4 lbs each month. 4 x 12 = 48 lbs. I could have been down to 135.8 lbs which is 10 lbs less than my actual overall goal. That means that by sometime in Sept or Oct I could have been in maintenance and learning so much about that phase from so many of you. 2024 is such a disappointment to me and to my health goals. Am I using my statistical data to help me going forward or am I just crying over spilled milk? Why document these weight results if not to use them for information? I don’t know but I do know that I can do better than this. I started the year at 183.8 I’m 9 lbs heavier today. I know that no one can do it for me. Somewhere along the line this year I stopped keeping my home the “safe zone” with only good foods. I’m not going to blame anyone else, but I think it truly started when my DD and DGS started staying weekends. The foods in the house definitely changed. But that didn’t mean I had to eat them. Changes, compliance, readiness, willingness, they are all up to me. I hope that 2025 will be different. I know there will be setbacks we all encounter – travel, holidays, social or special occasions. But those are finite. Numbered. A lifestyle is forever and that is what needs to change in me. I suppose I’m just reflecting today but I know I am not alone. I really want to make 2025 a banner year. It feels like I can do it if I just stay steadfast in my resolve. I’ve tasted all the donuts and tortilla chips and ice cream before. But I haven’t tasted the 140’s in about 22 years. That’s what I need to crave! I wanted to start with a 5 lb loss. 1.4 down and 3.6 to go.

    🎄 December 🎄

    🥅 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️📝🥗 🫀🏋️‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️ 💦

Goals prior day, weight current day.

    Dec 1: DNW
    Dec 2: 143.7 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️🏋️‍♀️💦 15K 👣 Steps, 🚶‍♀️‍➡️3.5 Mile Walk, 35 Min 🏋️‍♀️ Strength.
    Dec 3: 142.7 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️📝🥗 🫀💦 21.2K 👣Steps, 4.5 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️walk, 40 Min 🫀 Cardio, 338 🥗 Calorie deficit.
    Dec 4: 141.4 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️📝🥗 🏋️‍♀️💦 15.8K 👣Steps, 70 Min 3.5 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️walk, 35 Min 🏋️‍♀️Strength, 473 🥗 Calorie Deficit
    Dec 5: 141.2 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️📝🥗 🫀💦 22.2K 👣Steps, 115 Min 5.3 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️walk, 28 Min 🫀 Cardio, 33 🥗 Calorie Deficit.
    Dec 6: 141 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️📝🥗 🫀🏋️‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️ 💦16.9K 👣 Steps, 50 Min 2.6 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️walk, 22 Min 🫀 Elliptical, 15 min 🏋️‍♀️ Strength, 20 Min 🧘‍♀️ Pilates, 35 Min ❄️Shoveling. Just barely made my calorie goal - 32 🥗 Calorie Deficit.

Dec 7: 141.2 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️📝🫀💦 I did it to myself. A little self sabtoge yesterday - a little over my limit, high sodium day. But back at it today. Didn't do much yesterday.

    22.7K 👣 Steps, 90 Min 4 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️walk, 26 Min 🫀 Cardio. Over my calorie limit - 186 Calories.

Dec 8: 140.9 👣 🚶‍♀️‍➡️📝🥗 🫀🏋️‍♀️Expected to see another gain today - even though I was right at my calorie range, didn't meet my water goal and was over in the sodium again. It might show up tomorrow. My younger sister won at Bingo, but had to split it with a few people - ended up with $300. Not too shabby. No such luck for me. Got home and had dinner, worked out, and then went to bed!

    14.8K 👣 Steps, 47 Min - 2 Mile 🚶‍♀️‍➡️treadmill, 30 min 🫀 Cardio, 15 Min 🏋️‍♀️Strength. Left a whopping 8 calories on the table!

On a good note - I met this milestone yesterday!

    12/5 - 158.4 ⬇️
    12/6 - 158 ⬇️
    12/7 - 158.2 ⬆️ 😢 Too much bread yesterday and no exercise.
12/8 - 158.2 Well at least I didn't gain. 🫤 Got a lot of Christmas shopping done yesterday. Just have a few more or buy.

    Starting Weight 164
    December Goal 156
    Goal weight: 130

    12/2: 164.2
    12/4: 160.2
    12/6: 159.0
    12/8: 158.0

Getting there! Saturday I went over my calorie intake by way too much. Hubby brought home a giant burger and then we were going to a friends for a play date/movie night with our 4-5 year olds where they made chicken and dumplings and margaritas so I had to be polite and eat everything hahaha. So i was extra mindful yesterday and stuck with rice and taco meat for dinner. Today is a lazy day so I will have to make sure to walk some laps around the house and do chores to get my active calorie goal in. Miserable outside too…cold and rainy. Happy Sunday!
