Hi ladies, my workouts on Monday were walking and Tracy Steen Upper Body. I having fun with Tracy, so I've decided to stick with her for now.
It is absolutely freezing, and the wind is howling like crazy! We had a little snow on Monday early afternoon. The weather people are talking possible snow for us on Friday.
DH is sick. He sounds like he has a cold. I hope I don't get whatever he has. So far so good for me.
Our holidays were quiet, and DH got a good taste of retirement during his almost two weeks off period.
Laurie, I'm so glad your holidays were great. I can't believe you hosted all those parties!
Good job with your workouts. Sorry you had to give up on Cathe's workouts due to your knees! You should try those exercises that bother your knees with lower weights, just to see if that's the problem.
Laurel sounds like you and your DH had a very special quality time period! I love it!
Great job with your workouts!
I am not liking this cold weather. It's not inspiring me to workout, so I'm struggling and needed to switch to workouts that are fun to me right now.
See you tomorrow!

Morning Ladies,
After work DH and I did PJ's No Repeat Full Body Strength. Really enjoyed this one, it reminded me of a Caroline workout. This morning I did a short pilates workout with Rachel Fit Pilates.
Laurel, Glad to hear that you had a nice time away from technology. I also had that same experience. Great job getting in all your workouts. It appears that weather is all over the nation in one form or another. We are just really cold right now. I'm always surprised at how time does fly by. Only a few months from now we will have another baby around.
Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! I know that you really enjoy working out with Tracey, so don't blame you for staying with those workouts. There are way to many things going around this year to make you sick, hopefully you will be able to avoid them. I gave my cold to DH. I will probably venture into the lower weights for those exercises, right now I think PJ is a good place for us right now.
Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a fun 45 minute spin followed by LMR Functional Core Fusion.
Thelma, great workouts. I agree about needing something enjoyable right now. It is so cold here. I just went out to feed the birds, and in the five minutes, despite wearing gloves, I was losing the feeling in my hands. And now they are predicting snow for Friday. DH will be gone, so I plan on stocking up with groceries on Thursday and staying in for as long as I can. I remember being stuck on our hill for a week last year, so I don’t want to be caught unaware for sure. At least we have warning for this storm, unlike the one last year.
Laurie, great workouts. I agree about the passing of time. I am 16 weeks in to this rotation I am doing, and I cannot believe that many weeks have passed since I started. It’s crazy. Yes, I think most of the country is cold right now, and those places that aren’t, like California, are still getting storms. It must be January.
See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies! My workouts on Tuesday were walking, Yin and Tracy Steen No Repeat Legs and Abs.
It is cold here. I think we're supposed to drop down to 13 degrees on Wednesday night. It will remain cold through next Thursday night. We are also expected to get 3.5 inches of snow and some freezing rain. NOT looking good for us. I'll be going to the supermarket on Thursday after yoga. We just had our propane tank filled on Monday. Hopefully we won't lose power due to the freezing rain.
Claims to be feeling better, but he still sounds nasal and hoarse and has been sleeping a lot. At least he's eating.
Laurie, good job with your workouts!
We definitely need to stick with the workouts that feel right and will keep us motivated.
When is your DD's baby due?
Laurel, great workouts!
I never thought it would this cold in the South!! It's a good thing I kept my down coat and jacket!
I hate the feeling of losing sensation in your fingers. I ended up getter a much bigger pair of gloves so I can double up my gloves and wear two pairs at once because when I go check on the chickens, I also lose sensation in my fingers.
I remember when you were stuck in your house last year due to the ice storm! Good idea to go food shopping on Thursday. I'll be doing the same. I hope we won't lose power.
See you tomorrow!

Morning Ladies,
Our workout yesterday was a JP Cardio Workout. This one was low impact, but very good. This morning I felt tired, so decided to change my full body workout to Yin Yoga. I did a session with Shaunneka. I'm scheduling my workouts, but if I feel like my body needs something different, then I will sub.
Laurel, Great job with the workouts! Has it really been 16 weeks that you started this rotation? Seems like you just started it a few weeks ago. Those fires in CA are really scary from some of the videos that I have seen. They are forecasting snow for us on Friday. We have just been having this cold weather. I'm sure that the below zero will be headed our way soon.
Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! I love those no repeat leg workouts. Sounds like you are ready for the winter weather that you may get. DD's baby is due at the end of April. So with the way time is flying by that will be here sooner than I'm prepared for.
Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Meso 3 Disc 39/Squat Rack Legs followed by Fit Split Boxing Bootcamp and Core.
Thelma, great workouts. We are cold here as well and expecting 4-6 inches of snow on Friday. The hope right now is that we won’t get the freezing rain here because our temperatures will be cold enough for it to just be snow……but we will see. I’m concerned about power outages as well. I decided to do my grocery shopping today because I felt like tomorrow it might be crazy. And it was pretty busy today, but at least I got everything I needed. Our cold temperatures are going to be around for a while too, so it may take a few days for the snow to melt. I plan on staying in as much as I can.
Laurie, great workouts. I am glad you listened to your body this morning and chose something else. I can’t believe I am four months into this rotation either. I feel like I am just getting into the swing of it. Looks like we all are expecting snow on Friday. The fires in California are really horrifying. The wind is just insane. We had Santa Ana winds and fires when we lived in L.A. but nothing even remotely close to what they are experiencing right now. And what we saw was bad enough so I just can’t even imagine what it is like right now.
See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies! Wednesday's workouts were walking a Tracy Steen full body workout. My favorite yoga instructor got fired yesterday for not being reliable. I guess we all saw that coming, but I'm still sad about it. On Tuesday a friend and I will go to a local gym to try a class. It's called Butts & Guts. Sounds like a Cathe class!
It is very cold here. I can't believe it! We're anywhere between 1-3", 3-6" or 5-8" snow range for Friday-Saturday. I guess we'll know how much when it's all said and done! LOL
We're going to be around 13 degrees by early Thursday morning! Our county government offices are going to be closed on Friday.
I decided to go food shopping on Wednesday instead of waiting till Thursday because the supermarkets will probably very busy.
I prepared dough for my cinnamon raisin SD bread and actually doubled the recipe because it's really a sandwich bread recipe. It's called Honey Whole Wheat. I've convinced DH to give the sandwich bread a try instead of supermarket bread. He worries now when he's running low of the artisan and cinnamon raisin breads! LOL
DH is doing much better. I felt a little off in the morning and thought I was coming down with the bug too, but I was OK in the afternoon. Thank God.
I heard about the CA fires. What a tragedy. I can't believe they don't have water and have to use home's hoses to fill up their tanks.
Laurie, great workouts! I'm glad you listened to your body. It seems that our body's get more opinionated about workout types as we age! LOL
April is definitely going to be here soon.
We are as ready as we can be for the storm. We no longer own a snow shovel though.
Laurel, great workouts! I can't believe you've been on the current rotation for 4 months! Good job!
I also hope we won't get any freezing rain. That's the part that worries me the most because they could cause power outages.
Ha! Great minds think alike! I think it was definitely a good move to go to the supermarket on Wednesday. My supermarket wasn't busy at all. I got everything we needed too. The only thing I've noticed the last two weeks is that the eggs case is practically empty.
I actually plan to venture out to my warm yoga class on Thursday morning. It will probably about 15 degrees! I won't go out again till early Monday morning to take my cat to the vet.
Have a safe weekend!

Morning Ladies,
After work yesterday we did Upper Body Strength with PJ. Have to say that I really loved it, DH had more difficulty with this one. It was push/pull no equipment workout. Of course DH doesn't have a strong core, so some of the moves where a bit more difficult for him to do. She did give some great beginner moves though. This morning I did a pilates workout with Rachel's Fit Pilates.
Laurel, Love the workouts! Always impressed when you do one of those squat rack workouts. They took the snow out of our forecast, and of course it looks like they gave it to the south. You will be happy that you went early to do your shopping, no need to deal with crazy people during a crisis. I was looking at some of the footage from the fires, and it really is sad how many people lost their homes.
Thelma, Great job with the workouts! Sorry to hear about the instructor, but I'm sure that they need someone that is there for the classes since people are paying for the class. I love that your DH has to have his bread. That is one of the things that I'm looking forward to in my retirement. I only have the weekends to make bread, and if we are busy that isn't a priority. Yep the body does get more opinionated, sometimes it really is hard to deal with.
Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Disc 33/Shoulders, Biceps and Triceps followed by a great 30 minute spin. The spin was focused on soft rock songs from the 70s and 80s, and I just lost myself in the music. I love a workout that doesn’t feel like a workout, and that was the spin today.
Thelma, great workouts. I am sorry about your yoga instructor. Hopefully you will find another one you like. I had forgotten today is a government holiday for Pres. Carter’s funeral, so I am doubly happy I did my shopping yesterday since we have a lot of government workers around here. They have reduced our snow expectation…..but raised the chance of ice storms. Not at all what I want to hear. But, like you, we will see what we get when we get it.
Laurie, great workouts. I am glad you aren’t going to have to deal with snow tomorrow. Generally around here people are pretty pleasant during emergencies when it comes to shopping. But as the city grows, I do see that changing. I remember when everything was shutting down for the pandemic, there were stories of people fighting in grocery stores around the country and there I was in a very crowded store having a conversation with a nice man who wanted my opinion on the best wine to go with ribs. I’m okay with that.
See you tomorrow.
Laurel0 -
Hi ladies, everything is calm before the snow. Usually, one of my ring cameras goes off every 5 minutes thanks to a hard-working little spider, but not tonight. Weird!
My workouts on Thursday were, walking, Warm Yinyasa and CG dead bug abs.
This is becoming a habit, but on Wednesday I wished you a safe weekend because I thought it was Thursday! LOL
Laurie, great workouts!
Lucky you with the snow forecast! We were upgraded after being downgraded, but now it looks like we were downgraded from 4-6" to 1-3" of snow, but they're giving a different total for sleet of 1-2".
Our daytime highs for Friday and Saturday will be 24 and on Sunday and Monday 46. The low for Saturday will be 11 degrees! OUCH!
The yoga studio owner needs reliable people. She always has to rush to the studio to fill in for her if she can't find a sub.
I do love that DH has to have his breadS now. I don't understand why, but I always end up exhausted after baking a loaf of bread.
Laurel, great workouts! Great spin music!!
It will be a miracle if the yoga studio owner finds another good Yin instructor. It's amazing but there are always lots of yoga training programs going on around here. People graduate from these yoga programs all the time and there are no instructors to be found!
I didn't realize Thursday was declared a government holiday for Pres. Carter's funeral. Is this a permanent holiday or just for today?
Good luck with the storm, Laurel. I hope it won't be a very icy situation. We're not going anywhere till Monday morning, but I am afraid there will be ice patches still.
OK for real this time. Have a safe weekend!

Morning Ladies,
After work we did a PJ Inner Thigh Workout. Both of us where just about crying at the end, so it was a good workout. Feeling the burn on the inner thigh area today. This morning I did a Yin Yoga stretch with Shaunneka.
They put the snow back into the forecast, not going to get much. Looking outside right now, we have total cloud cover and it is dark.
Laurel, Nice workouts! That type of music always gets me pumped to do a workout. One of the things that I really didn't have to deal with was shopping during the pandemic. DH was working from home, so he would take time to go shopping. Funny now that he is retired he doesn't do that anymore. I'm sure that if I was more organized and had a shopping list he would do it. Just can't trust that he would get the correct items though.
Thelma, Love the workouts! DH still doesn't like those dead bugs. I think it is the coordination factor with doing opposite hand and leg. That is pretty cold for your area. Next week we are heading into the single digits, so not looking forward to that. Interesting that they are unable to find instructors. Wonder what that little spider knows that it went into hiding.
Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was another fun one. I did Rock’m Sock’m Knockout with the Blizzard Blast and Icy Core One. I couldn’t help myself but do a workout from the ICE series today. I would guess we have 4-5 inches of snow right now. As expected, the road up our little hill is closed, so it is very quiet and quite pretty right now. The snow is expected to turn to rain later which, I’m afraid, is just going to make a mess of everything. But, thankfully, I have no place I need to be.
Thelma, great workouts. I hope you are enduring the storm okay. I am glad you have nowhere to go for the weekend as well. That’s surprising about the lack of yoga instructors. I really hope you can find one. Regarding yesterday’s government holiday, it has been customary for decades that when a former president dies, the government shuts on the day of the funeral, so it is just a one off.
Laurie, great workouts…..well, except for the nearly crying part. Must have been a good one. DH did a lot of our shopping during the pandemic as well. I remember having to organize the list so that it went in order of where things were in the grocery store. That was a real test for my memory of the store’s organization. It’s actually easier just to shop by myself sometimes for sure. Hope you don’t get too much snow.
Enjoy the weekend.

Hi ladies! We survived the storm. We got about 3 inches of the white stuff. Everything looks beautiful with that white snow. I don't know what phase the moon is in, but it's pretty bright at night. The moon light reflected on the snow makes everything look so beautiful at night.
People here live for the snow because we hardly get this much snow. 3 inches is a lot for us. People built snowmen, sled from the hills, and God knows what else, but it's been a big celebration.
Now the bad part, there have been accidents left and right, cars have ended up in ditches. There are hills everywhere! The storm started as freezing rain, so ice formed under the snow. Everything was closed for the weekend. Even on Sunday there were only a few restaurants open.
The secondary roads are pretty dangerous still. Our road is hilly, so I've asked DH to drive me to the vet in the morning because I'm afraid to drive down our road.
Oh! We don't own any snow shovels anymore. We really could've used one of those push shovels. DH had to shovel a path to the garage with a dustpan! LOL! I laughed so hard at that! LOLr
Our dogs hate the snow. One is afraid of it, another didn't want anything to do with the snow and our little Louie was the brave one, he stepped on it and ran back to the carport.
I had a very successful baking run. DH loved the sandwich bread, so I think he's firing Sarah Lee! LOL. My artisan bread came out amazing too and I made DH a new recipe for his after dinner sweet treat. It's pumpkin with orange zest and juice. I added dried cranberries. Yum! DH eats the soft sandwich bread at lunchtime and the artisan bread at dinner time. My heart is happy about him liking the breads I'm making for him.
My workouts on Friday were walking and Tracy Steen Low Impact Hiit.
Saturday - walking.
Sunday - walking and Tracy Steen full body workout.
Laurie, great workouts! That inner thigh workout sounds like a really good one. I will have to see if I an find it! I found it! She has several inner and outer thigh workouts too.
The deadbug workouts do require a little coordination, but you do get good at it eventually.
It really has been extremely cold for our area. We are going to get another hit of arctic air over the coming weekend.
It really is interesting that these new owners can't find instructors. I think they're part of the problem. I love the owners, but I've also heard they're not very good bosses. News spread like wildfire around here, so I think all instructors know about their reputation.
Laurel, great workouts! Wow! You got more snow than we did! Our snow ended at about 2pm on Saturday and that was the end of it. It never turned into freezing rain or snow again like it had been predicted.
A lot of people are also stuck in their homes. People are asking for help on Facebook.
It really is surprising about the yoga instructors; the previous owner never had a hard time finding new instructors. This new couple have gone through a lot of instructors in just one year of ownership.
Have a great week!
Thelma0 -
Morning Ladies,
Our snow was trace amounts, but now we are into the bitter cold. The wind temps are in the negatives. I don't think that DH and I where lazy this weekend, just not home long enough to do our workouts. We where gone starting at 8:30 on Saturday to the end of Sunday. We did do two hours of taking decorations down at the church, so that was a lot of walking and climbing ladders for the both of us. I did manage to bake some bread, so I had a little time to do that.
This morning I did Rachel's Fit Pilates Arms & Abs.
Laurel, Love the workouts! LOL about the theme you chose to compliment the weather. I think that you both have more snow than we do. There is a circle that is the southern part of WI and some of MN and IA that have no snow. Hope that rain melted the majority of the snow.
Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! Love your descriptions of the snow experiences. This would be the first time that you really needed a snow shovel since you moved there. Our pup is okay with the snow, he just doesn't like it when it gets below zero. I enjoy the Rachel's Fit Pilates, it's nice to just do one of those workouts in the morning's. Don't have to think to hard. Love that your bread is a hit!
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Mine was pretty quiet. Even though our road up the hill opened late Friday, I had no reason to venture out while there was still snow and ice on the roads so I didn’t. I did venture out into the backyard on Saturday to get some food to our birds, and (like Thelma’s husband) used a dustpan to get some of the ice off of our backstairs yesterday so I could get down to the feeders even easier. Most of the snow should be gone by the end of today except for in shady places. I am actually surprised it has stuck around this long. The rain didn’t clear it out at all on Friday.
For workouts, on Saturday I did LMR Functional Lower Body Fusion and 60 minutes of Peloton yoga. Yesterday was STS 2.0 Body Part Shoulders with bonuses premix followed by a 45 minute spin. Today was 2.0 Body Part Biceps with bonuses followed by Perfect 30 Low Impact HiiT with the bonus pyramid, core and extended stretch.
Thelma, great workouts. I am glad you survived the storm. I laughed when you mentioned your DH using the dustpan since I had just done the same. I would imagine it was easier for me to use it on stairs than it was for him clearing a path. But it worked! We still have a snow shovel and I thought about using it on the driveway but since I wasn’t going anywhere, I decided not to because it seemed pointless. I’m sorry to hear the accidents. I didn’t hear about too many here, but I imagine they happened. Your breads sound delicious.
Laurie, sounds like a busy weekend and it definitely involved activity for sure. Undecorating is no joke. I am glad you didn’t get too much snow. I have my eye on the cold front that is hitting you. It looks like it is going to be brutal. I don’t know if it will reach us, but DH is supposed to be flying through Denver on Saturday and last I saw, they were expecting 4-6” of snow and temps between -5 and -15. Yikes. I think that might mean you are in for some brutal, brutal cold. I hope you can stay in for much of the weekend. Great workout this morning.
See you tomorrow.
Laurel0 -
Hi ladies! we had a lot of melting on Monday, but the snow is still around. People are still iced in. It's now snowed in anymore, it's iced in. People continue to ask for help because their roads are so iced up.
I had to take my cat to the vet this morning and I asked DH to drive us. I'm so glad I did. Our road was the worst road of the entire trip.
I have a chiropractor appointment at 8:20. I hope I make it down our hill safely.
The arctic air is going to make a comeback this weekend.
My workouts on Monday were walking and Tracy Steen upper body.
Laurie, great workout. Sounds like you got a workout taking down the church decorations, too!
Our dogs don't like the cold weather either. I love being able to do a quick workout that's effective and enjoyable.
Laurel, great workouts! Thank God we are retired an had no reason to go out on those dangerous roads. How funny that you used a dustpan to remove snow off your steps! I would say our snow will stick around for the next two days.
Just this morning there was a huge accident. A truck ended up upside down in a ditch.
See you tomorrow!
Thelma0 -
Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Chest with bonuses, the core work from Lean Legs and Abs and a 45 minute spin.
Thelma, great workout. I’m glad you made it to the vet safely yesterday. I hope your trip this morning went well. We still have ice in shady areas, but all of the roads are clear. The weather people here think next week may be the coldest of the year, so this little break with warmer temperatures is welcome. That being said, we are still several degrees below where we normally are this time of year. I was going to take a walk after my workout this morning and went out to feed the birds which made me realize it is still a little chilly for a post-workout walk. Maybe tomorrow.
See you tomorrow.
Laurel0 -
Hi ladies, my workouts today were walking, Yin and Tracy Steen Lower Body.
I survived the drive to the chiropractor! DH offered to drive up the hill and coached me. The icy part is just on our end of the road which is practically our driveway. DH got off as soon as I got down the hill, which was pretty clear of ice and snow.
On the way back home from yoga, I saw all these packages left on the side of the road across from the rental next door. I knew they were my packages because no one lives in that house and if the packages were theirs, they would've been delivered at the house not on the side of the road. I had to park in the snowiest and iciest part! I slowly walked to the where the packages were, read the address labels and threw them in the passenger seat. It wasn't really slippery; the snow was very crunchy and the ice pretty hard.
The UPS guy had put the packages inside a clear plastic bag and left an apology note saying that the driveway was too icy. That was nice of him because I was about to report him to Amazon! LOL. Needless to say, we still have lots of snow around here.
We are supposed to get a lot of rain Saturday and Sunday and apparently the arctic air will come in after the rain on Sunday night, early Monday. We'll be iced up all over again! The weather people are also saying that there's a possibility for more snow.
I also read today that Appalachian folklore says that if the snow sticks around for three days or more, there will be more snow to come. I doubt there will be more snow because I ordered a snow shovel! LOL
Our weather guy said that on Monday we'll be as cold as Anchorage, AK! What!!???
Laurel, great workouts! It was very cold here too even though it was very sunny.
The shady areas are also the ones with ice and snow around here.
See you tomorrow!

Morning Ladies,
Sorry I was offline yesterday, but I was home sick. I had fever, chills and body aches. Of course I didn't feel like eating anything either. Got up in the morning, and I felt all achy so I went downstairs and did a short stretching workout. That didn't help at all, so I then realized that I was sick since I just couldn't get warm. Today I feel so much better, just had aches in my lower back. That could be because I slept weird, I was pretty much sleeping all day yesterday.
No workout this morning, since my back was not cooperating.
Laurel, Nice job with those workouts. Has it been working well incorporating those new workouts into your rotation? This cold is just brutal, but it seems that we are going to be getting warmer toward the weekend and then back down into the negative numbers. I'm just glad that we will be on vacation next week when that happens.
Thelma, Great job with all your workouts! Dang on the ice. I'm sure that it is bad in that area vs what we go through in ice. The amount of salt that we have down on our parking lot here at work is crazy. I don't blame you for having your DH drive you to the appointments.
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Legs with bonuses followed by Cathe Live Cardio Core Express.
Thelma, great workouts. I’m glad you made it to and from your appointment all right. I’m so glad the UPS driver left you a note and took care of your packages. Like you, if they had just been placed there with no explanation, I probably would have called someone. Our snow in the shady areas is just not going away either! Never would I have guessed it would still be here five days later. Thankfully most of the area around our house is clear, but people across the street still have ice and snow in their driveways. So weird. We share the same forecast again. I will be curious how this snow prediction works out. Part of me thinks they are predicting more because we just had some and they want people prepared.
Laurie, I’m sorry you weren’t feeling well yesterday. I am glad you took the day and rested and are feeling better today. I am finding it good to add the LMR workouts into my routine. I did the leg workout on Saturday because my legs felt really tired. Even though I used heavier weight than Cathe, on Sunday I noticed a huge different in how my legs felt. The tired, heavy feeling was gone, and I can only attribute that to the nature of the LMR workout. I think it is because the workout was a stark contrast from these very heavy STS Meso 3 and 2.0 workouts I am doing last week and this week, and that is a good thing.
See you tomorrow.
Laurel0 -
Hi ladies, another day with not much melting. Mr. UPS left my refrigerated medicine in the same spot he left the packages yesterday. It's a good thing the medicine is in a cooler. DH passed it and missed it because the box is white! LOL
My workouts on Wednesday were walking and Tracy Steen standing abs.
Laurie, I'm sorry you're sick, I'm glad you're feeling better. Take it easy and I hope you feel better soon.
There's no salt on little road, so the snow is still white.
Laurel, great workouts!
The snow is definitely not melting in the shady areas. We live in the mountains so there are plenty of shady spots.
The weather people are saying that we definitely have HIGH probabilities of cold weather, but LOW on the precipitation. It's too early to tell.
See you tomorrow!

Morning Ladies,
No workout for us last night, I got home and just hit a wall. I wasn't feeling all that good, guess it was still the lingering sickness. Still not my normal self, but I'm feeling better every day. Just don't want to be sick when we leave on Monday.
Laurel, Great job with the workouts! I love that the workouts are working so well with your STS rotation. Hopefully once we get back to normal, DH and I can get back to working out on a regular basis. I just hope that DH doesn't get sick. I still need to try out some of those new workouts.
Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! Does UPS take a picture like Amazon does? Most of our packages come via USPS or Amazon. I should send some of this salt that we have at work. There is just so much. They even seem to have changed the color from white salt to green today. The green color is a first.
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Back with bonuses, the core work from Ripped With HiiT, and a 30 minute spin.
Thelma, great workouts. We are warmer but very windy today. I haven’t heard the latest on possible snow for us next week. Since this current snow is still sticking around, I would be just fine if we got the cold without the snow. I hope that’s the case.
Laurie, I’m sorry you still aren’t feeling well. I am glad you aren’t pushing your body by doing workouts. I really hope your DH stays healthy as well, especially with a trip planned next week. These Lift, Move and Restore workouts might be just the right thing for you and your DH when you get back to working out post-illness and vacation.
See you tomorrow.
Laurel0 -
Hi ladies, my workouts on Thursday were walking, Warm Yinyasa yoga and Tracy Steen Total Body.
The weather people are having a hard time with next week's forecast. The snow part of it that is. In the morning, they tell us it's going to snow, by afternoon not anymore.
I found out today that kids have yet to go back to school due to the bad road conditions in some places. They are having virtual days Thursday and Friday. I wonder why they didn't have virtual days all week.
Laurie, I'm sorry you're still not feeling 100%. Hopefully you'll be fine by next week. Give your body the rest that it needs in order to heal.
UPS doesn't take package pictures that I know of.
Laurel, great workouts!
We had the same weather on Thursday. The wind was howling like crazy. I really don't think there will be any snow next week. The rain predicted for the weekend was already downgraded to showers. I hope it rains because yesterday we were under high fire conditions.
Have a great weekend!
Thelma0 -
Morning Ladies,
I'm feeling almost normal this morning. No workout last night either. I feel really good in the morning, and then as the day progresses I start feeling tired. Hopefully I will not be feeling that way by the end of today.
Laurel, Great job with the workouts! You may be right on the LMR workouts for when we get back into it. I'm still hoping that we can do something tonight when I get home. Last night DH was complaining about having a headache, so the first thing I think oh no he's getting sick too. Of course he then sneezed. So far so good though.
Thelma, Love the workouts! DH and I may have to do a Yin Yoga workout tonight, just to get us moving. Last night I told him that he could workout without me. He said yes I could, but he didn't. Hopefully the weather gets warmer for your area so that the ice melts, we are going to be in the 40's tomorrow.
Both of you have a great week next week. We will be someplace nice and warm.

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Triceps and Cathe Live Boom Boom Pow Kickbox. Today was the last day in my third (of four) six week rounds in my STS rotation. I found out yesterday that DHs travel (he’s been gone since the 8th) has been extended for two weeks, so I am going to push through the first two weeks of my fourth round without taking my recovery week. Then when he gets back, if he gets time off from work, I might take a recovery week then. But right now I feel good to press on.
Thelma, great workouts. It looks like it is shaping up that we aren’t getting much rain tomorrow (when they had predicted 1-2 inches) and only the southern part of the state will see snow next week. So all we are in for is very cold weather and, apparently, some wind on Sunday. I am just fine with that. But, like you, the weather people have been all over the place with the weather this week.
Laurie, I am glad you are feeling better. I hope you have a wonderful vacation and enjoy the sunshine and warmth. I will be curious to know where you went when you come back. I hope your DH stays healthy through the weekend and you both have a fantastic time.
Enjoy the weekend.
