Oh wow, the scale is a fickle little *#%+^. Saturday night was the last of all the holiday and birthday partying in my household. Totally worth it, one final massive party. The scale will go back down again now.
Thanks for all the cheers related to my last post about the new low. And yeah @dannytrees1 we are having such similar numbers the last month or two it cracks me up!

The hubby made corned beef hash and eggs for lunch yesterday which was a 587 calorie lunch..that put me over my daily goal by about 169. Not horrible but I also had a full day of grazing on Saturday so I better reel it in! He's a bad influence because he can pretty much eat whatever he wants and not gain an ounce.
My workout on Sunday was a killer. Back and Biceps with alot of eccentric and isometric focus. For some reason my neck is so sore today so I must have been holding tension.

Ugh why??? How did I gain 4.5 lbs in three days? Not sure which weight is real. I didnโt have a heavy food day yesterday although I didnโt exercise either because of a sore throat. Argh.

In full transparency I was actually under the weather yesterday and didn't eat much at all so I am guessing that number won't stick but it was still good to see it!
Today I am still not feeling well but nausea seems to have gone away . Norovirus is going around and it seems like I have all the symptoms.. ugh....

This too shall pass. I am off my game, and not sleeping either, and it's adding up. I did work out yesterday; hoping to get back to it again tomorrow. I had the 11th written down, and no idea where I noted my weight; If I find it, I'll update my chart. I hope to see this number go down over the next few days.

Another drop. Almost 10lbs gone. I have little gifts for myself for every 10lb milestone I hit, so although it's unfortunate I don't get to open one this week, I'll get to next week for sure.
Two weeks in and I'm feeling okay so far. Still haven't added in exercise like I have wanted to, but as long as I can stick to my calories and lose weight, I'll add the exercise in later.5 -

Half way through January!
Congrats to those who are seeing their results pay off. If youโre like me, and feeling like turtle time, we can keep this going. Itโs little changes over time that usually bring results.
I found a couple of yummy new protein items - Built Bar Puff protein bars (these are crazy good in my opinion) and Simply Peanut Butter Oatmeal protein balls.
I have one of these a few times a week, not daily. Good option for me if Iโm running out the door to an appointment or gym. I know apple slices are better butโฆ.

Jan 7 205 ate and drank too much over my long weekend (took a 4 day off from work to recover from Xmas). Had friends here visiting so lots of food and drinks. Will be drinking lots of water and drinking my bloom to help with any bloating.
Jan 10 204 first Zumba class of this year. So far my foot isnโt hurting so thatโs great. Still trying to keep it easy though. At least work has slowed down so that helps. Have a great weekend!
Jan 12 203.5 Saturdays have a new class I like. Itโs a Zumba/hiit/liit class. Itโs really fun and definitely gets your heart racing.
Jan 16 203 working out again is nice. Also with it being slow at work I am up more and getting things done I donโt normally get to do when itโs super busy.4 -

Ok but how is it possible to gain 5.5 lbs in 5 days? I actually think there is something wrong with the scale. My clothes do not feel tighter and Iโm at the point in my cycle when I normally lose. Everything else is normal and Iโm logging what I eat and keeping it in calorie budget. I might borrow a scale from a friend for a few days.

@canadamarie try spraying the scale feet with windex .
I believe they can collect dust and give an inaccurate reading.
Also, maybe the batteries are low too.
Could be some extra water weight too.

Ok well at least itโs now headed in a better direction. I was freaking out yesterday because I read in several credible sources that gaining more than 5 lbs in a week could be a warning sign of congestive heart failure. So I was scared, and itโs a good reminder that sometimes our weight is telling a different story or signalling something beyond what weโre eating. Iโve never seen my weight fluctuate by that much. I tried a different scale and it was the same. I guess all I can do is wait and see what happens.
