Hi Linda, and I also did laundry after all that. Today I was pooped all day, and slept in. I didn't go for a walk, just did some reading. I just got up from a two hour nap so I must have needed the sleep. The only problem with that is now I'll be up all night. Oh well. For dinner tonight I would love a double quarter pounder with cheese, those famous fries, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have the chocolate/vanilla twist of soft serve ice cream, and an iced mocha. I'll enjoy dinner by the fireplace again tonight. It was cold today out there even though I didn't get out.

Zzyyggy, hopefully, you didn’t stay awake all night! Francois made my favorite macaroni and cheese for dinner. 😋. A soft ice cream twist for dessert would be delightful. I’m ordering that right now. Gosh, I haven’t had one of those for ages.

It was cold in the Charlotte area today, but we’re going to have temperatures in the mid 50’s for the next couple of days and then the temperatures will begin to drop down below freezing for a couple of days. Who knows, we might even get snow before the end of January. We were supposed to have a warm winter. 🤔. Then again, you never know when Spring will show up around here.

Hi Linda, no surpisingly I slept pretty well last night. Tonight I think I'll have the macaroni and cheese platter with a salad, and dinner rolls, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. It was cold today with a cold north wind again, but I got in a walk this afternoon. I'll eat out on the terrace, and enjoy the warm tropical air watching the sunset.

Zzyyggy, I’m up past my bedtime, per usual. The macaroni and cheese platter was wonderful earlier, but I’d like a few more chocolate chip cookies and a cup of coffee. The coffee is probably why I’m still awake. I was cold this evening and a cup of coffee sounded soooo good. Why do I sabotage myself? Eh. I’ll go get ready for bed now, because if I start reading my book I’ll read all night. I’m reading one of Gregg Hurwitz’s Orphan X books—Dark Horse. I just started it, but I could finish it by morning. Or maybe not. It is 443 pages.

Hi Linda, hope you got to sleep last night. I'm starving tonight. I'm going to have the fried scallops with french fries, and a coca cola please. Lots of tarter sauce with that. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars and an iced mocha. It was cold here in the real world. But I did get a walk and swim in. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight, and enjoy the sunset.

Hi, Zzyyggy. I behaved myself last night, put my book away, and got some sleep. 👍🏻 I made chicken Caesar salad tonight for dinner. It was great, but there’s no dessert. Sweetie wants apple pie with vanilla ice cream. I’ve been craving raspberry cheese danish. Viktor says he’ll bring our desserts right out with our coffees. 😋 It will be a delight to sit outside on the terrace at the cybercafe and enjoy the sunset.

The weather in the Charlotte area has been fairly mild this last week with temperatures in the mid 50’s. It was a really nice day today. Monday a cold front will bring temperatures down into the low to mid 30’s. That’s cold weather for us. Monday is also the last day Union County’s outdoor skating rink will be open this season.

HI Linda, another cold day here in the real world. I spent the day watching television, and reading. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the grilled porter house steak with baked potato, salad, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have an apple pie with vanilla ice cream, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the patio this evening.

Hi, Zzyyggy. The apple pie does sound good tonight. I ordered caramel swirl ice cream with mine. Ah, here’s Viktor with coffees and desserts. We had a tiny bit of rain this morning. It was damp, foggy, and chilly outside. I’m tired this evening, but other than laundry, I didn’t get much done today.

Hi Linda, it's getting a lot colder out there. I got in a walk this afternoon. I just bundled up and went out for a quick half hour or so. Not a whole lot of people out there. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the Sunday Lasagna with salad, garlic bread and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of blue berry pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight since again I didn't see the sunshine.

Hi, Zzyyggy. I think I’ll have a Sunday Sundae or is it a Sundae Sunday? Anyway, a chocolate espresso sundae would be perfect. You know the one with the brownie chunks on the bottom covered with chocolate syrup, then two or three scoops of coffee ice cream (the good stuff like the Starbucks coffee ice cream they don’t make anymore even though it was the best ever), dotted with more brownie chunks and covered with chocolate fudge sauce and whipped cream sprinkled with chocolate curls and chocolate covered espresso beans. I ordered more chocolate covered espresso beans on the side because I need a chocolate fix and I’m obviously not planning on sleeping at all tonight because if I were to actually eat this the caffeine would keep me up all night and the chocolate would make me feel ill. It’s a good thing my sundae is virtual 😳.

So I’m watching Ryan Hall and he’s saying it’s going to snow in Texas and Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and even the Carolinas. BUT NOT HERE! It’s going to snow east and south of Charlotte. Today it snowed west and north of us. It’s going to snow in the Deep South. It’s just wrong. I want snow, too. At least we’re going to have cold weather. I might actually have to unearth my winter coat and find the wool scarfs I knit. Nah, the cold is only going to last for three days.

Hi Linda, I'd rather have snow then the frigid temps we're having. The sun did shine today though, and I got in a short walk. But I need heat tonight heat and warmth. For dinner I'm going to have a big bowl of beef stew with lots of hearty bread for dipping, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some warm chocolate chip cookies and a hot cafe mocha with whipped cream. I'll sit in the dining room by the fire. Brrrrrrrr. Linda, how about I conjure a snow storm for you in the cyber cafe. Maybe it'll take my mind off the cold around here.

Zzyyggy, snow storms at the cybercafe are the best. I ate some of those warm chocolate chip cookies and a big cup of mocha cafe and now I’m so sleepy. I think I’ll head off to bed. It’s either that or fall asleep in my chair.

Zzyyggy, my local weather app has been telling me all day that we can expect snow in ten minutes. There is no snow. Now the other two weather apps I have are telling me it is snowing. No, it IS NOT snowing. Maybe it’s snowing in Monroe, the town I live in. The town is south of us, as is the storm. For heaven sakes, it snowed in New Orleans! I am waiting. Well, mostly, I’m procrastinating. I should be making chili for dinner, instead of sitting by the fire at the cybercafe. Francois makes delicious chili and Viktor puts lots of cheese on top for me. In fact, Viktor brought me my very own pot of coffee with cream and sugar. Maybe Francois has also made cheese biscuits. Perhaps I should order a small cheese and freggies plate, as well. Some days I need chocolate, but today I need cheese.

Hi Linda, we're not having any snow either, just very cold weather. How about this weekend we have a three day snow storm in the cafe? I had my first physical therapy this morning in the pool, and I'm tired tonight. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the rotisserie chicken with potato salad, corn on the cob and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some more of those chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I'll eat in the dining room again. We had sunshine all day, and it was nice, but man it was cold out there.

Zzyyggy, it sounds like you worked hard this morning. Good for you! Believe it or not, we are finally getting snow. It started snowing around 6:30 this evening. The snow flakes are tiny and you can hardly call it snow, but it’s not ice. There won’t be much accumulation, but it’s 22 degrees and there’s a concern the roads will be icy in the morning. Right now the roads are just wet around here.

We did get the chili done for dinner. Sweetie helped, or I should say I was Sweetie’s sous chef and chief dish washer and I made a nice salad. Alas, there is no dessert. That’s why I’m here at the cybercafe. One of my favorite places to sit in the dining room (okay, everywhere is a favorite place) is the alcove with the fireplace. There are tables interspersed between comfy couches, club chairs, and recliners scattered throughout the alcove, plus a lovely bar/kitchen set up behind an island tucked into the corner. And while I love the views out the windows and into the dining room toward the aquariums, my favorite place to sit on a cold day is by the fireplace.

But I digress, I came for dessert. The potato salad sounded too good for me to pass up, so I ordered that along with a couple of cheese biscuits and the cheese and freggies plate. Viktor is bringing a glass of Pinot Grigio for me now and I ordered coffee for later. I’ll join you by the fireplace, Zzyyggy.

Hi Linda, we had another day of sunshine, but with cold temps. I got out for a walk earlier this evening, but didn't go to far. I've been waiting for a medication order since 2:00, and at 5:00 its still not here. It's suppose to be here by 6:00 pm. I hate waiting. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a bacon cheeseburger with french fries, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. I'll eat in the dining room by the fire. I've been seeing pictures of the snow in the south all over the place.

Hi, Zzyyggy. It was cold this morning—15 degrees 🥶, but it warmed up into the 30’s. We still have a bit of snow on the deck. Southerners don’t do snow. Fortunately, the snow doesn’t ever last very long. We’re in for warmer weather now. It was so cold this morning Sweetie had to put the lining in his jacket. By the weekend he’ll be removing the lining, I’m sure.

We had an early dinner today. It felt like Sunday so I cooked a small roast beef. I might have some of the vegetable salad later for a light supper. Sweetie went to the store just now. He says he’ll buy some fruit for dessert. In the meantime, I figured I could hang out at the cybercafe and order coffee and a piece of apple crumb pie topped with caramel swirl ice cream.

Hi Linda, it was cold up here as well with clouds most of the day. I did get in a swim, and a walk this afternoon, and I'm pooped tonight. I'm going to have a bowl of french onion soup with bread and butter and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. I'll sit out on the terrace tonight and enjoy the warm tropical sun. I could really go for someplace tropical now.

Good Friday morning. Zzyyggy, we had a cold start to the morning, still in the teens, but we’ve warmed up and the temperature is up over 40 degrees and it’s a beautiful sunny day. Last night Sweetie informed me that it just isn’t cold enough for the jacket lining. He says he’d be better off just wearing a long sleeved shirt. I, of course, was wondering why he was wearing a short sleeved shirt to begin with and by the way, it was 27 degrees outside. Without the lining in his jacket it’s very lightweight, if that was me wearing it with a short sleeved shirt I’d be freezing. It’s 70 degrees in our house and I’m freezing. I’m sitting here contemplating turning the heat up another 2 degrees, but Sweetie would hate it. He wouldn’t complain, but he might have to put on a pair of shorts and walk around barefoot.

This morning at the cybercafe Viktor brought me my favorite coffee with cream and sugar, along with one of the cybercafe’s world famous cinnamon buns. Now it’s lunchtime and I’m ready for more coffee and a Hudson Valley Deli Sub. I ordered the roast beef sub. It comes on a Portuguese roll with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, chopped sweet pickles (or dill, if you prefer), and mayonnaise. Let’s not forget the potato chips.

Hi Linda, It was 20 degrees here in the afternoon. We warmed up a bit. Although the lake between the breaker, and the waterfront has frozen over. I wouldn't go on it though. I'm in here for the early bird special. I'm craving bacon today so I'll have the blt grinder with melted American cheese, chips and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a giant chocolate chip cookie, and an iced mocha. The weather forcast for this weekend at the cyber cafe will be a blizzard followed by more snow, and more snow after that. Get out your skies, boots, and winter gear. Lets make snow angels, and snow men.

Hi Linda, we had sun again in the real world. The storm in the cyber cafe though has taken on a life of it's own. Fortunately the boys do a good job of plowing and shoveling. They've turned the pond into a skating rink. I think I'll go do a few rounds before dinner. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the porter house steak with baked potato and salad, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars and an iced mocha. Sitting inside the dining room, and watching it snow through the big windows, is fun.

Hi, Zzyyggy. I would have been here earlier, but I was busy cutting paths in around the cyberfarm—Jorge called it sledding, but however you look at it, the paths work great for getting around. What a fantastic view out the windows. We’re so spoiled here. I had the stew Francois made for dinner and the rolls are so good. I’m thinking a nice warm bowl of apple crumble for dessert would be great. Here comes Viktor with our coffees.

We had a sunny, much warmer day. It was 52 degrees. Not bad at all. We really could use some rain, we’re back into moderate drought. We had a tree fall from our neighbor’s property onto ours in the hedgerow a couple of months ago, plus we had a dead in the front garden. Now that it’s been cold and the danger of snakes has passed, we had a tree service come and clear them away. It looks so much better now. I’m amazed the HOA didn’t send a letter of complaint out about it. Nothing else has been happening around here.

Hi Linda, just spent the day cross country skiing around the cyber farm. The snow is still coming down. I think I'll warm up by the fire with a hot mocha with whipped cream. For dinner tonight I'll have the Sunday roasted chicken with mashed potato, gravy, carrots, stuffing, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with an iced mocha this time around. We had lots of sunshine here in the real world and mild temps at 35 degrees. Got in a walk this morning, and picked up some groceries along the way.

Hi, Zzyyggy. I have to admit it, I’m such a hothouse flower, the temperature may be in the low 50’s, but it feels cold to me. It’s really a beautiful sunny day outside, just cold. Sweetie’s wearing a short sleeved shirt and our grandson has shorts on. Shorts!

Mm, this mocha cafe sure hits the spot after spending the afternoon in the snow at the cybercafe. It would be great to stay right here by the fire for the rest of the evening. The cybercafe’s Sunday Dinner sounds perfect. I’m ordering that. The apple pie for dessert is good, too.

Hi Linda, We had a gorgeous day out there today in the real world, and now it's an equally gorgeous sunset. We had mild temps at 38 degrees, but it was windy out there. Had PT today and I'm tired tonight. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the blt grinder with no tomatoes, and a bag of chips with a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a large chocolate chip cookie, and an iced mocha. I think it will stop snowing at the cafe sometime tonight. The fire does feel pretty good though. When I came home this morning someone on my floor was cooking bacon and it smelled so good.

Hi, Zzyyggy. We got rain today—about half an inch. It wasn’t much, but it’s a start. My weather app is telling me we’re in for warmer temperatures. It’s supposed to be up around 70 degrees. Just when I was enjoying the cold weather. I guess my neighbor’s daffodils will be blooming in a week or two.

I’ve been enjoying our last day of snow at the cybercafe, but now it’s time to put on my fuzzy bunny slippers, have dessert and enjoy the fire. Mm, I love these chocolate chip cookies. Usually, I like the crispy little cookies, but I really like the crunchy big cookies Francois makes. Plus, they pair perfectly with my mocha cafe, extra whipped cream.

Lots of maple syrup with that please. I'll have a glass of milk with that. Too much sweet stuff makes my stomach hurt. For dessert I'll have some of those cinnamon buns with an iced mocha. I'll eat in the dining room by the fire.

Hi, Zzyyggy. Oh, pancakes sound so good. Maybe Francois can make some for me for breakfast at the cybercafe. I love his pecan pancakes. This evening I’m ordering tea and some ginger molasses cookies for dessert. I’ll join you by the fire. The heat in our house is set to go down at 7:00 pm and I get chilled.

We had a nice sunny day today, but I barely noticed. I was busy stripping beds, doing laundry, and cooking dinner. Dinner was just a vegetable salad and pizza from Costco. Sweetie went shopping there today. I expect to be awake most of the night after eating the pizza. Dinner wasn’t anything elaborate, but it takes a while to chop all the veggies, especially when I had to stop to transfer laundry from the washer to the dryer and fold or hang the dried laundry.

Hi Linda, today is my day of doing laundry. I just started a load. We had a cloudy day today, and snow. Tonight I'm going to have some lasagna, garlic bread and salad, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of devil's food cake with chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce and an iced mocha. I'll eat in the dining room again, and stare out at the snow. The woods look really pretty. Igor has started to set up for ground hog day. He's got the cutest stuffed ground hog in a hole by a tree stump in the corner by the fire place. I wonder where he gets this stuff.

Hi, Zzyyggy. We had another warm, sunny day. Even though we had half an inch of rain on Monday there have been fire warnings up because the humidity is low and it’s been windy. There are several wildfires that have been contained near Asheville and another that’s east of us still burning. We should be getting rain on Friday.

The chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream, and chocolate sauce dessert is delicious 😋. Did you need a chocolate fix? Doing laundry can have that effect.

Igor certainly has an eclectic collection of holiday decorations. I didn’t realize people decorated for Groundhog Day. Perhaps it’s better not to know where Igor finds his treasures or where he stores them. 🤔.
