Back on track today and will repeat the protein shake and oatmeal and most likely salmon and brocolli- seems like MFP likes these choices in my daily diary lol.5 -

Took advantage of the sunshine yesterday and took one of the dogs for a hike. It was only 19 degrees out but the sun felt warm and I didn't get cold at all . Until I got back to the truck and started cooling down..
@obx1bag and @SwimBikeRunRepeat @Michieb125 - nice drops!
@canadamarie - your getting there.. it can be so frustrating when the scale has its own ideas about things... With my 2 month stall , I felt so discouraged but I hung in there knowing eventually things will start moving again. its just hard to stay the course when nothing is happening.. hang in there.. you will get there..
@dannytrees1 - I also struggle with greens and keeping them fresh. I have wasted so many bags of greens thinking I would eat them and then never have the motivation to make a salad. Honestly, I'd rather microwave a bag of frozen broccoli and cauliflower or use green powder than mess with the salad making process.. I don't love the flavor of most greens powder but I look at it as a necessary evil . I have read that we actually don't get as much benefit from the powder as we do with actually eating and the chewing process (salivary enzymes/gut microbiome relationship) but atleast its something.. right?

Thank you.
Basically I have cut back on the amount that I eat, but Iโm sure weโre all doing this.
What I have just discovered is when Iโm stuck on the same scale numberโฆI then switch things around a bitโฆ example stop the smoothly and have oats or Rasin bran instead.
Skip the red meats and bbq a family pack of chicken breastโฆ freeze the leftoversโฆ and the chicken leftovers
Go into a lunch salad.
Itโs working for meโฆ skip the salty snacksโฆ a little less beer
Each thing adds up though the weekโฆ and before you know it
The scale drops and the waistline is decreasing.
Almost like a gameโฆ but you make the rules ๐ป
That powder Iโm now adding to my morning shake has more than just greensโฆ itโs the extra boost of protein Iโm looking for.โ๏ธ

I havenโt checked in for a while. Havenโt weighed in a few days either. I had 2 over calorie days and need to reel it in now. Iโm sure the scale will show Iโve gained weight. Iโll weigh tomorrow morning and find out! I made these delicious vegan thumbprint cookies. I only made 6 cookies and had a friend over to share. Thatโs not all though. Iโve been snacking on ice cream! It was on sale. Oh dear.. well. No point in dwelling on it. Just move on and do better. I have to walk to a doctors appointment tomorrow so Iโll get about an hour walk in. Thatโs a step in the right direction. ๐2 -

Still down with this stupid cold. At least I slept a lot better last night. Don't see myself making it to strength class today but will attempt something at home after work. So annoyed with myself but am drawing great inspiration from reading all your experiences this past week.3

Full on body soreness today from my workout session yesterday , might account for the small uptick but not a big deal.
The weekend was full of things that malfunctioned or broke so we spent the greater part of yesterday fixing things.
Continues to be cold here so spending much time outside is hard. My dogs insist on their 10 am and 2:00 pm play time in the yard regardless of the temperature out there. My fingers and toes freeze no matter how many layers I have on. My only salvation are those heat packs and I go through ALOT of them.
Surprisingly the horses are beginning to shed their coats the slightest bit - which always gets me overly anxious. Its much too early to get my hopes up for good weather. Feb/March can be some of our coldest snowiest months.3 -
@canadamarie- I totally get the frustration. I wish I could give you some advice on what to do to help but I really don't know exactly what kicked things in for me. I am sure I will hit another one before long and be just as frustrated . I suspect that when I went to AZ at the end of December, I got time to just relax, sit but a pool in the sun, slept like a rock and gave myself the opportunity be low stress for 5 days , that helped . Maybe it was cortisol levels? who knows. I did try changing various things with food, exercise, etc but nothing helped until I got back from AZ. If you haven't been tracking your food down to the nitty gritty , I can suggest starting with that because sometimes extra calories sneak in there that we don't account for (oils, butter, certain dairy products )that add up in the calories quickly. I did spend a week or two weighing my proteins to make sure I wasn't overcalculating. One other thing I did to was recalculate my TDEE because as I have lost weight my calorie requirements changed so I had to factor that in and lastly I upped my protein intake.
Sorry if I am rambling. Eventually you will get there . Just keep working at it and don't give up as hard as it can be when things are budging.. if nothing else, your not really gaining so that is a win!3 -
Thank you @dannytrees1 for sharing your success this month. Skipping the salty snacks is a big plus I need to get back into. And the protein boost powder is outstanding!1

Jan 7 205 ate and drank too much over my long weekend (took a 4 day off from work to recover from Xmas). Had friends here visiting so lots of food and drinks. Will be drinking lots of water and drinking my bloom to help with any bloating.
Jan 10 204 first Zumba class of this year. So far my foot isnโt hurting so thatโs great. Still trying to keep it easy though. At least work has slowed down so that helps. Have a great weekend!
Jan 12 203.5 Saturdays have a new class I like. Itโs a Zumba/hiit/liit class. Itโs really fun and definitely gets your heart racing.
Jan 16 203 working out again is nice. Also with it being slow at work I am up more and getting things done I donโt normally get to do when itโs super busy.
Jan 19 201 woohoo! Finally starting to see a downward trend.
Jan 23 199.5. So sick. Haven't really eaten in two days. Hoping to feel better today.
Jan 28 204. I donโt know what is going on there with that number. Iโm able to eat for the most part but still so congested canโt really do much but work and mild chores.3 -

I am so far behind, I have 3 pages of comments to read, but if I didn't post today, I was sure the scrap of paper I've been using to track my weight would go missing. Work and life have been nuts. Workouts sparse. The scale number reflects how life is right now: out of control.
Hope you all are doing well. ๐4 -

Nice drop! Hang in there! ๐ค1 -
Thank you, @SwimBikeRunRepeat!!
@HappyDonkey75 I just saw your comment - I feel I've been on this cycle of losing/gaining the same weight for too long. I've scheduled a GP appt to discuss this and other things, the first available appt was middle of May. I'm not really sure I want to go on a med either, but want to talk about it. I know this is a combo of stress, perimeno, lack of sleep, and diet. I've replaced two meals with shakes or meal replacement bars, but I still indulge some at night. I've tried working popcorn back into my diet as a filler food, but it is super unkind to my insides (air popped popcorn used to be my go-to filler - I ate it every day, but simply cannot do it now). I'm only getting 5 hrs of sleep a night, and it's not enough. I need to move more, too, but on 5 hrs of sleep, after a 9 hr day, working out at 9pm isn't really doable. Lots in this ramble, I know. I'm frustrated, but I'm still going.
@SwimBikeRunRepeat I am sending my best thoughts for your friend in hospice. Please take care of you, and do what you need to at this time. ๐
@tishsmith101, @canadamarie, and @jennigerding19 I am so sorry you've all been sick -- I hope you're all feeling much better soon.
So many of you with noticable drops or reaching goals - Really excited for you. @dannytrees1 and @HappyDonkey75 You're rocking it! @obx1bag I see you! You're doing great! @SwimBikeRunRepeat - I saw your drop too - keep going.
@dannytrees1 Thank you for sharing your meal patterns/experiences.
Have a gret Tuesday, everyone.3 -

Thanks! Re: friend in hospice, I haven't heard from him in awhile. I'm going to contact this mother, today, to see what's going on. Very sad.2 -
Sending lots of love, @SwimBikeRunRepeat. Hospice is amazing, and I know they are taking really good care of your friend.
