Sending lots of love, @SwimBikeRunRepeat. Hospice is amazing, and I know they are taking really good care of your friend.

    Thank you! x

praying for you @SwimBikeRunRepeat and for your friend. I am glad he is getting the care he needs.

@ManifestingToday _ good idea to meet with your GP. When there are so many things happening , stressors in your life, its hard to manage it all. 5 hrs of sleep is definitely not enough and likely a big blocker for you. I struggle in the sleep part too, (perimeno) and started progesterone.. so far, no change which is discouraging.
I hope your doc can help you sort things out and I hope your work/life balance can improve. I am glad your still working at it.. we're here if you need us.

Rough night with the elderly dog so none of us got a whole lot of sleep last night. I am not sure if I have posted about her but she is a 15 yr old GSD, which is a very old age for shepherds. She is deaf, mostly blind due to cataracts and has stenosis in her spine which has caused her hind legs to atrophy. So she has a hard time getting up and when she walks she isn't super stable since her legs have become so weak.. Nights like last night she can't get up quickly enough and didn't make it to the door to go outside before she had an accident. Its so hard because otherwise she is bright, happy and even wants to play a little with her ball or toys. She has been the best dog , never once has had an accident in the house until the last few weeks. So we are just trying to manage things for now until we can't go any longer.

Jan 7 205 ate and drank too much over my long weekend (took a 4 day off from work to recover from Xmas). Had friends here visiting so lots of food and drinks. Will be drinking lots of water and drinking my bloom to help with any bloating.
Jan 10 204 first Zumba class of this year. So far my foot isn’t hurting so that’s great. Still trying to keep it easy though. At least work has slowed down so that helps. Have a great weekend!
Jan 12 203.5 Saturdays have a new class I like. It’s a Zumba/hiit/liit class. It’s really fun and definitely gets your heart racing.
Jan 16 203 working out again is nice. Also with it being slow at work I am up more and getting things done I don’t normally get to do when it’s super busy.
Jan 19 201 woohoo! Finally starting to see a downward trend.
Jan 23 199.5. So sick. Haven't really eaten in two days. Hoping to feel better today.
Jan 28 204. I don’t know what is going on there with that number. I’m able to eat for the most part but still so congested can’t really do much but work and mild chores
Jan 30 203. Still under the weather. But was able to sleep in bed and not sitting up last night so I’m getting somewhat back to normal. Realized I’ve been living off med and ibuprofen. Ibuprofen always makes me crazy bloated. Been off of it one day so hopefully the bloating goes down and I can work out again soon.

@HappyDonkey75 sending hugs for you and your beloved dog

@jennigerding19 I'm having the same bloat with my cold, I'm up 4 lbs this week.

I've really put all my efforts the past few days into feeling better. I felt about 75% yesterday and only marginally better today. Getting plenty of fluids and rest. Would love to start Feb with new goals and no mucus LOL.

I won’t give up, for me I have to make small changes over a long time to see progress. I put on the 5 lbs between August and December because I relaxed after a family reunion lol.

So, it’s just going to take another few months to see the drop.
However, my clothes feel great because of inches lost from exercise- it’s so interesting about body composition (fat loss vs. building lean muscle mass).

    Will be back for February!

Thanks everyone for the warm wishes and mentions regarding our girl. Her name is Xena. We love her so much. Today has been a good day for her.
So sad about the American flight and all the lost lives. Been watching and listening to the news on and off all day. I have a cousin who is a pilot for commercial airlines and it took me a minute to remember which airline he flys for when I heard the news. Its not American thankfully :)

Overall it was a hugely successful month. This was the first time I've put any effort into meal prepping or exercising in the last 3 years. My daughter is about to turn 3, and my son is about to turn 1, so I've been extremely busy the last few years with no spare time or spare energy. I finally decided I can make all the excuses I want, but I'm the one who lives my life and I need to do more in the evening after the kids go to bed. So I've been meal prepping healthy recipes. Air frying veggies. Doing pilates and mobility youtube videos. Lost 14 lbs this month, I certainly don't expect to have a month like that all the time. But it feels good to see my body respond to treating it better.

    Great month. Congrats!

Glad I found this ! I started a new approach to my weight loss effort that began last Sunday. It’s been working fairly well and I’m going to continue through the next month. These are my 5 day results.

    Start weight: 145.6 lb
    Today’s weight: 141.8 lb
    Goal weight: 120.0 lb

I’m waiting on an orthopedic appointment for a painful shoulder and that has nixed my weightlifting so I’m depending entirely on aerobic activity for the exercise part. I’m not happy about that but don’t want to stubbornly trash my joints just to have a perfect plan. So it goes.

Best wishes to all for a great February!

Good Bye January. I normally don't like this month but you haven't been too bad to me..

See you all on the other thread..

Hoping your on the mend. There are so many people very very sick. I know someone that got RSV who is an older gentlemen and he is really struggling. Take care of yourself .
Thank you for the note about our dog. She's been rallying the last few days but we also have her on a new pain medication so it seems to be helping.
