Good luck with the job interview @kgirlhart!

Nice run @chris_in_cal . I hope the muscle soreness goes away soon.
Great run @tarun_yadavA . I hope the MFP issues are resolved soon. Mine always comes up with some weird message where the newsfeed used to be, but once I hit the food, exercise, or community button, it's okay.
That was the fanciest church dinner I've ever seen too @Teresa502 ! Great running and glad you didn't get rained on.
Take care of that foot @Mari33a .
Glad today's run was better @yirara .
That sounds very promising @kgirlhart ! I'm excited for you. Great run!

I did a treadmill wun before heading out for the day. I ran totally fasted today. I have done that twice lately and it has been okay. In my younger days, I couldn't do it. Of course, that was also when I had chronic anemia, so that could have been the issue. LOL
Anyway, I had hit the snooze about 10 times more than I intended too, so was short on time. The run was at an avg pace of 12:21 min/mile. My avg HR was 123 with a max of 149 bpm. I mostly ran/walked for 4/1 minutes at various paces from 4.5 - 6.0 mph.

Morning all
Got in 5.0M at 10'07.
PS:
@quilteryoyo btw. That wasn't my 10 year old who walked 50K yesterday! Haha. That was my wife. She was doing a charity walk yesterday with her coworkers. Shes not on Strava, but her email is used for my 10year old - so just used his as a one-off
6 -
Nice run this morning @tarun_yadavA . Well, I'm really impressed that your wife walked that far! (I was wondering. Is your son running at all now? I haven't seen a post from him in while.)
1 -
Younger one - not so much, of late.
Older one does - but he's lazy with turning on Strava so only a few sporadic ones show up
4 -
Oh by the way …
Got a friend request
Caroline seems nice.
I wonder if she's real.
😂😂

Had a good chuckle with that one @tarun_yadavA !! She looks PERFECT!
Amazing Mother’s Day meal @quilteryoyo! Yes, it’s my ankle and it’ll never return to normal. My flat foot dropped completely and even with the custom inserts it starts to ache by about 4 miles. I can cover about 5-6 miles but by then it swells up a bit as well. So I’ll reserve those “longer” distances for races. Without surgery it’ll always be this way, but the inserts keep the PTTD from getting worse.@kgirlhart good luck with the job interview! I hope it goes really well!
Yes, I’m looking forward to meeting you as well @Teresa502! Hubby is hoping his hip replacement surgery, which he’s having in a couple of weeks, will allow him to join in the 8K in November. We’ve both decided our HM days are over.

Hi all,
Yesterday was interesting. Thanks to Garmin's training plan, I did a tempo run and after that my lower back gave out….(can I swear here?)… it felt fine after the run, but after I got in the car, when I got out, I couldn't straighten up! Hobbled to the supermarket bent over like a 100 year old…. later did a yoga pose cobra to straighten things out (ouch). At first my hips couldn't touch the floor but slowly but surely, it finally got there. Weird. It still feels sore & stiff this morning. I probably need to do more strength training as well, something I've been

@tarun_yadavA what @daria0919 said, but more importantly, can she run? That is the question….

Things are not working out at the moment. Pretty much ever second day I feel like it's the middle of the night for me from 13:00 - 18:00 or so and I can hardly stay awake. Still tried to run today. Was slightly stormy and so I just went fast for the sake of it as it was not working anyway.

I hope the job is a perfect fit and that the company realizes what an awesome worker you would be @kgirlhart !
@WarmJellyfish - Yeah, I'm sure that's what all the guys are wondering…(Sorry about the back issues.)
I hope all goes well with hubby's surgery @daria0919 and he's back to normal activities quickly. I feel the same way about marathons - those days are over for me. However, my marathon PR was at Richmond. They really know how to put on races there! I still use my finisher blankets (one from the marathon and one from HM) and hope they will give those out again this year so that I can add to my collection.

I got out a little earlier today and ran 7 miles. I was trying to beat the heat. But it was already 75°F. It was a pretty good run though.

Another run today, 2.0M at 14'58.
I'm feeling 99% recovered....I hope to go a good long time without any new surprises.

@WarmJellyfish @Teresa502 hahahahahahahaha

Good morning! I ran 5 miles this morning and pushed the pace a bit (for me anyway). It was a bit humid, temp at 61F and the moon was gorgeous. I also enjoyed the scent of honeysuckle on several stretches and even biscuits as we ran past Pal's!
Glad you are recovering well @chris_in_cal (tagging people in this new format is impossible sometimes!)

Thursday 10k yesterday. Maybe Pilates today, more likely raking mulch!

Thanks @tarun_yadavA
I ran 7 miles this morning. It was 70°F, so a little cooler than yesterday, but definitely starting to feel like summer. They were predicting we would hit 103°F yesterday, but I think we only hit 99°F. It was a nice run. I saw a fox at the park. I wanted to take a picture, but when he noticed me, he ran off into some bushes.
I got called back for another interview. It will be Tuesday morning. It's for an accountant position at the hospital. The hospital is close to my house and that's where I had my mammogram and bone density test today, so I walked to my appointment. It took me 7:26 minutes to get there and 7:30 minutes to get home.

Hi everyone,
I have been super busy with life, kids, work, home renovation disasters, and squeezing runs in when I can. On Monday I had to register my son for his next school which ate up all the time I had planned for my run, but was obviously more important :).
Tuesday I ran 15.1km. It was nice to be out for so long. Wednesday I was again strapped for time, but worked in 6km with 2km at tempo pace. Today, I really had no time but needed! a run, so I ran 9.1km. It’s so beautiful out at the moment. I wish I had more time to enjoy it. I’m just taking in what I can. Tomorrow is my oldest’s 10th birthday, so I will be busy, but will run in the morning :).
@kgirlhart Good luck with the interview!!!
Everyone else, great job running this month!!!!!!
95.3/270km for May. Just a tad behind schedule ;).

Keep having issues with the MFP app on my phone making me log in repeatedly, which I just cancel & move on to something else instead! So, I'm logging 4 days today (as I'm on my laptop), good thing I didn't have much to log as I had a stomach flu/bug for most of it so wasn't running….
Thanks for the race kudos @quilteryoyo, @WarmJellyfish, @kgirlhart, & @Teresa502!
Always a good turn out for that race through the city.
Good luck with the peer interviews @kgirlhart! I'm sure you'll do well. I loved when I was walking distance from my job years ago.
I once hurt my knee standing up from sitting on a couch @WarmJellyfish, just saying….
Glad to hear your doing well @chris_in_cal!

There must be something up with MFP cos I too am having logging in issues3 -
Just a FYI, here are some 'known issues' with MFP, with the last update (a.k.a. they caused the issue):
Android App Issue:
Users are being asked to login again when opening the app via the widget.
iOS App Issue:
Some users are getting intermittently logged out of their account

The MFP app is notorious for having one bug or another. That why I stopped using it years ago for community interactions. Just use your browser with this link:
