Thoughts at the start of this round:
My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. This breaks down to 0.7 lbs per challenge week. I don’t think that is too much to ask of my mind, my body and my spirit! I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

Tried a weighted vest for the first time on my walk with Kaya yesterday. It turned the walk into more of a workout. It had me sweating! Supposedly great for bone health, strength, endurance, and burning more calories. Woke up with some lower back pain (not sure if it’s from the vest or Pilates), but stretching helped. Planning to use it every other day for now.
Yesterday’s workout: Core, pilates, leg extensions (for my knees), walk the dog with a weighted vest.

Had a couple glasses of red wine last night. Maybe that caused the spike? Oh well, just need to keep going.

Thought I'd share a picture of our dog, Luna. She is a Newfoundland dog. We are currently dog sitting a 40lb LabraDoodle. Luna keeps going in his crate…. She doesn't quite fit
She was 25 pounds when we brought her home at 10 weeks old. She is now 125 pounds and 2 years old.

Day 78—07/31— I forgot what the scale said.....grrrrr.... We had torrential rain but things are supposed to cool off tomorrow. Will be glad to see a break in the heat.
Day 79—08/01— 165 - Ok....time to try and stop the stress eating. No snacks tonight…just water. Had a chicken pocket for brunch and a big tossed salad for dinner. Did have about a ½ c. of ice cream mid afternoon, but that's nothing new....its the after 8 snacks that are the problem.
Day 80—08/02— Don't remember...but it wasn't good.
Day 81—08/03- Forgot to weigh…probably a subconscious desire not to want to.
Day 82—08/04- 165.6 - Ok....this is embarrassing. I need a reset. My anxiety has gotten out of hand here. Between the vet bill and the surgery on my hand tomorrow, I have not been eating right. This needs to stop today, somehow. I was SO tired last night, I think I fell asleep only a few minutes after I laid down....too many carbs will do that.

Feeling hopeful that I can keep everything green so that I can move out of this recent uptick. No rush. I gain weight FAST. If I want long term progress, I have to lose it slowly and sustainably. Patience.

Hi everyone.
I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.

Day 81—08/03— 138.8 - It has rained here, sometimes torrentially every weekend, which is awesome for me because I don't need to water my garden which is a lot, moving the sprinkler from area to area. It sucks for my friends that work Monday to Friday, but it is great for me since I am at work.
Day 82—08/04— 139.0 - It is a holiday here. I have just a 4 hour shift at premium pay, and then have somehow finagled 2 days off in a row for this week and next. Happy dance. 46 days to try to get back down to 130lbs for my 65th birthday. Seems lofty, but I will try.

Thoughts at the start of this round:
My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. This breaks down to 0.7 lbs per challenge week. I don’t think that is too much to ask of my mind, my body and my spirit! I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️Day 82—08/04—186.6 ✅ (Trend Weight: 187.7) I am patting myself on the back a bit for how well I did yesterday, even with everyone here. While they ate pizza, cookies and other snacks washed down with sodas, I ate avocado toast and sipped on chicken broth. It was a strong day and came pretty easy to me. Not all days are that easy unfortunately. I was hoping scale would be down a bit more as I also managed to get some exercise bike in after everyone left last night. But I’m happy for any progress. I still haven’t got all the weight off from my one lousy day of travel. My how slow it drops! I'm also still a tad above this week's starting weight. Not good when there is only 2 days left in the week. Sticking to it!

Tried a weighted vest for the first time on my walk with Kaya yesterday. It turned the walk into more of a workout. It had me sweating! Supposedly great for bone health, strength, endurance, and burning more calories. Woke up with some lower back pain (not sure if it’s from the vest or Pilates), but stretching helped. Planning to use it every other day for now.
Yesterday’s workout: Core, pilates, leg extensions (for my knees), walk the dog with a weighted vest.

Workouts are good, and food choices have been much better.

I'm on track to not have an average weight for week 12 that is greater than week 11. I just need to maintain my weight somewhere between yesterday and today. I know I have virtually no control over the scale. I can only control what I eat and how much I move. So, today, I will do my best to eat on plan and keep moving. In another three days I'll lose that one red calories IN day.

I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.

Day 78—07/31— 140.8 - missed posting, but logged as usual. Back to alcohol free for at least 5 days. I did make myself a Mojito on the 30th.
Day 79—08/01— 140.8 - No alcohol last night, tonight will be the same. Hoping to get some dropping on the scale happening after my gains from 6 days in a row of cocktails last week. I never have more than 2 btw.
Day 80—08/02— 140.0 - Lots to do this morning, working 11-7 today and tomorrow. Normally split shifts where I get a break to do running around. Not even trying to stop smoking today.
Day 81—08/03— 138.8 - It has rained here, sometimes torrentially every weekend, which is awesome for me because I don't need to water my garden which is a lot, moving the sprinkler from area to area. It sucks for my friends that work Monday to Friday, but it is great for me since I am at work.
Day 82—08/04— 139.0 - It is a holiday here. I have just a 4 hour shift at premium pay, and then have somehow finagled 2 days off in a row for this week and next. Happy dance. 46 days to try to get back down to 130lbs for my 65th birthday. Seems lofty, but I will try.
Day 83—08/05— 138.4 - Eagerly awaiting the arborist this morning. He said Monday or Tuesday, but Monday was a holiday, so maybe that means Tuesday or Wednesday? He is coming to remove a giant out of control lilac bush which has sent suckers all over my front yard, ruining it. I have some things planted that I will dig up before he starts, and put right back in the ground when he is finished. Days off today and tomorrow😃. Lots of weeding to do after so much rain on the weekends. We didn't use to get even one drop of rain in this area from April to October. It has been a deluge every weekend. The Indian chefs that I work with call them Monsoons. Still finding things to reset after power outages.

Thoughts at the start of this round:
My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. This breaks down to 0.7 lbs per challenge week. I don’t think that is too much to ask of my mind, my body and my spirit! I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

Day 82—08/04—186.6 ✅ (Trend Weight: 187.7) I am patting myself on the back a bit for how well I did yesterday, even with everyone here. While they ate pizza, cookies and other snacks washed down with sodas, I ate avocado toast and sipped on chicken broth. It was a strong day and came pretty easy to me. Not all days are that easy unfortunately. I was hoping scale would be down a bit more as I also managed to get some exercise bike in after everyone left last night. But I’m happy for any progress. I still haven’t got all the weight off from my one lousy day of travel. My how slow it drops! I'm also still a tad above this week’s starting weight. Not good when there is only 2 days left in the week. Sticking to it!
⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️Day 83—08/05—185.8 ✅ (Trend Weight: 187.5) I did a bit of an experiment yesterday. I ate my largest meal for lunch and a smaller dinner since I usually have snacks later anyway. It seemed like a good idea at the time but it backfired since I stay up pretty late at night in my retirement. I won’t make that mistake again. I ended up eating an extra small meal which was better than bingeing on snack after snack (my usual choice). Two slices of peanut butter toast later (low calorie/carb bread) and a large glass of water (oh how I wanted the milk!) and I was okay. It managed to stay within macros by skipping some snacks. Still a drop on the scale today as I spent lots of time yesterday on yard work and gardening but I did skip my intentional exercise. I am now Exactly at my weekly goal with one day to go. I’m making a pork roast in the crock pot for dinner tonight with all the fixings. I’ll have to carefully watch my portions. I’ll try to stick to a light lunch and minimal snacks tonight. I’m still chasing that low of 185.0 I had recently before some weird fluctuations and my day trip which together yielded me a 3.8 lb gain. I don’t know how long this will take, but I will just keep on chasing it until it runs out of breath! First stop, however, is weekly goal. Please, Donna, don’t self-sabotage!
