Everyone, YES we CAN!π Today was a good start for me. Below was average speed 4.06mph. LOOK at this calorie burn:
Better TOGETHER! For me, I'd like to (at least) wrap up September weighing less than August!
I will try to check in at least once per day.
Have a nice night and a great Tuesday!

Carole what an awesome cal burn! look at those miles as well! congrats
I lost weight by adding more walking on my days off. Limitied chips by buying single serve bags intead of a large bag. Remeber the old Lay's comercial Who can only eat just one? I can't stop eating them.. In come the single serve bag.. I love bread, especially home made. I can eat it 3 times a day. I limited it to 2 slices a day and a lo cal option from the store. for now.. did 3-4 low carb days a week and did a re feed 2 days a week. I used veggies instead of rice/pasta⦠It took me 8 weeks to lose 6 lbs. Way better than 6 months to lose 3 . It is a win as I can get back into my jeans. I didn't want to buy a bigger size pants. Now onto to tighten and tone up some muscle , especially the mid section.
good luck and keep on moving!6 -

I AM TRYING SOMETHING LATELY. MY GOAL FOR THE CHALLENGE WILL BE 0.1 lbs PER DAY. THAT WILL USUALLY COME TO SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 9 AND 10 LBS TOTAL LOST MOST CHALLENGES. IT WILL BE DIFFICULT BUT I DONβT FEEL IT IS TOO MUCH TO ASK, EVEN GIVEN MY AGE, MY MEDICAL CONDITIONS THAT SET ME BACK AND MY MEDICATIONS. IF I GET BEHIND ON ANY GIVEN DAY, WEEK OR MONTH, IβVE ONLY MADE IT HARDER ON MYSELF AS I HAVE TO THEN CATCH UP. THE SPECIFIC GOALS NUMBERS MAY CHANGE AS I GO ALONG ONLY TO KEEP IN LINE WITH MY GRAND TOTAL LOSS GOAL. IN THE END IT SHOULD BE EQUAL TO 0.1 LB PER DAY OR MORE. ππππ 09/16 β184.8 β (Trend Weight: 184.8) A funny thing happened on the way to theβ¦. Okay, anyway. Hereβs the story (to explain the gain). Made a lovely dinner last night that Iβve made before. But instead of chicken breast it was boneless chicken thighs. Instead of roastedβ¦sautΓ©ed in a pan. After all that work I gagged on the first bite. The meat was too hard. Now, this has always been the main crux of my eating disordersβ¦texture. In the trash bin it went after all that work! So with no plan for dinner now, and STARVING did I make a quick good choice? Perhaps a tuna sandwich on low cal/low carb bread. Perhaps breakfast for dinner with eggs and avocado toast. Perhaps even just a quick can of soup, though processed it would be within calorie and carb limits. Nope. Straight for the boxed sweetened cereal left by DD for DGS. A bowl and Β½ later I was finally full (which of course didnβt last too long), so then I had to suffer the rest of the night. August was a very good month for me. You can see by theβ's that September has not been. Itβs time to pull my head out of you-know-where and get with the program. My lower left area of my tummy/torso is hurting today. My intestines I think. Itβs probably the sugar!

Carole!! You are a friggin athlete. Just awesome.
@walkintofit I so empathize with everything you said. CHIPS!!!!! I think they're laced with drugs to make you keep eating them. Bread I'm totally with you. I love bread. Pasta I like but can usually pass on it. Veggies are an effort. I need to find something other than carrots to satisfy my hand to mouth urges.
So here we go. Today is going to be a success. Thank you all. You have no idea.
P.S. Ditto. It's a good day when the jeans are loose.
6 -
faaurotann, sometimes I have a mix of no salted walnuts/almonds. or just take turns. Have to watch the amt as they are easy to overeat. popcorn once in a while. I bought some gum when I get the real hand to mouth issue. Jeans not exactly loose especially in the waist(gained 3 inches there) I can get those suckers on though! Why o why did that spare tire show up? It looks weird on this short body.. Now if I can get that spatula and spread it around better!! wouldn't that be cool?

YESSSSS! A spatula! That's brilliant.

Great posts! I had to catch up and read a bunch of them. @SunnyDays930 Great tips! Loved all your ideas. The other day we went out to a new restaurant, and I knew I couldn't eat a whole entree and I actually felt guilty (felt badly for the waiter) that I didn't buy an entree. (The bill would be less and thus his tip. I guess I could tip a few bucks extra anyway.)
Ate an appetizer instead. I also had a few bites of husband's entree which is what I would have ordered. I was satisfied.
I have to manage work life balance. In the fall, it's my busy season. So, I have been working through lunch taking bites out of a half sandwich while I work. I used to go for a walk in nature which is near my workplace and play happy music during my lunch. I should get back to that. That's my #1 goal for this week: Take a daily walk in nature.
@200Karen Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

October 1st, 2025 195 lbs⦠I just can't get away from this number. My 7 day trend though is 194.7 lbs. There has been a lot of reflection this month. I have been taking a course for caregivers that take care of family with dementia called Coping with Change. We know caregivers' life change due to taking care of their loved one. I used to be very active at the gym, then couldn't fit this in so started walking on the treadmill at home and now this has taken a back seat. One of the homework assignments is trying to get back to do the things that bring joy in your life and exercising was one of mine. So I decided I am going to do my hardest to bring this back into my life evern if it for 10 to 15 minutes. Enough of my reflection. Thanks everyone for your post they are motivating.
