Still sick but still losing. This cold or what ever it is has made me lose 3lbs this week. I'm dying to be back to normal.

    Get well soon!:flowerforyou:

Was a long day. Spent some time on the treadmill, then took my daughter to a Halloween party, then she came home with a fever so I ended up running out for Tylenol late.
  • Sorry I've been MIA this week with being sick. I haven't even bothered to keep track of the very few steps I've done. I'm starting to feel better and will be back on my own tomorrow with hubby at work so I hope to start counting again. Good news is I've lost 3lbs this past week. Now let's see if I can keep it off.

10/23 -- 2927 -- embarrassed bout that. Feel asleep and took a long nap and then was not motivated to exercise. Back on that wagon tomorrow.

Must have been something in the air!
Was up late with a sick kid then slept on the couch (not well) and didn't crawl off the couch until almost noon. Had late rehearsals and had full intentions of getting on the treadmill when I got home, but was just too dog tired.

I'm in. Just need to set up my pedometer to my step length, been wanting to do it but thought ah maybe later,
  • I'm back using my pedometer this week but so far I haven't gotten in too many steps. I'm moving a ton catching up from last week but I'm not taking enough steps in a row to get my pedometer counting many of them. Hopefully I can get in some laps around the house later.

I've been doing 7000-8000 steps each day and now, dang, lost my pedometer this morning. I had purchased on of the Omcroms that clips on your belt. Great pedometer, but the top was thicker and heavier than the bottom, and the space inside the clip was smaller than the width of any of my belts. It kept coming unclpped, and then it would hand upside down on the little leash and wouldn't work. So I tied a thin ribbon around my waist, and I clipped the pedometer to the ribbon. I was wearing it under a loose jacket during a 3.3 mile walk this morning. When I finished the walk, I discovered the ribbon must have come untied and fallen off, because the riboon and the pedometer were gone. I have now ordered a different model from amazon.com and will soon have one that goes in my pocket and works no matter what direction it lies in.

That's too bad. :-( Mine would occasionally fall off, but since I have the strap that comes with it and loops around the small circle at the bottom, it's been staying in place. I have this recurring fear that mine will drop into the toilet or some weird thing like that...go figure! I've actually seen the Omrons at Walgreens. My husband purchased one that is rectangular and can be worn sideways inside a pocket. Maybe try that one sometime.

I have that same fear of it falling into the toilet. I will take it off before hand just to make sure that does not happen.

I will need to look at Walgreens. I would love to have a smaller step counter. Mine is a mio that works well but its huge.

  • They have a watch called a SmartHealth, it does your steps and your heart rate along with the time. You can get it at any pharmacy.

10/24 -- 13,078 -- was able to get a walk in outside today, as the weather and temp were nice, in addition to going on the treadmill later this afternoon.

I've been doing what I can in steps I just have been so busy with both jobs and the kids and the grand kids and everything else that I don't have time to always log it.
