    I normally do my workout between breakfast and lunch and decided to wait til after lunch, big mistake. Even though I waited almost 2 hours I was still so full I didn't work out as hard. I followed with a 10 minute ab workout on demand and will do something else later tonight as well. But Lvl 3 Day 7 completed.

    Sorry it took a while for me too see this. You are confused :P I have done the Shred for a total of 14 days
    I did 6 days prior to the group starting and today just finished day 8 with the group. Hope that clears it up. I had never clarified what levels I did before the group so I didn't ask you to change it but here is my opportunity :)

    Lvl 1: 6 days
    Lvl 2: 4 days
    Lvl 3: 4 days I did my 4th day of this workout today so I have completed day 8 with the group but on lvl 3 still

    ok so i realised this morning that i just cant do the shred anymore - its boring for me (i've done it more than once already you see) so i've stuck on ripped in 30 this morning instead.

    noone minds if i carry on posting on this thread do they?

    Thats fine with me as well :) I am also getting bored thats why I jumped all the way to lvl 3 so quickly. This is my second round of it too and find lvl 1 pretty easy and it doesn't get my heart going like the other levels. I have done the other levels more than the 3rd but now after day 4 of it I am also getting bored and not sure if I will go for lvl 3 the rest of the time or back and forth from 2 and 3. :( I want to make it through the shred straight with no breaks so it will be tough to power through. I have also done Ripped in 30 2x, so not ready to tackle that again any time soon.
    As far as nutrition I eat whatever, I have no diet which is my downfall. My typical day is generally cereal for breakfast, lunch is a turkey sandwich with an apple or chips, then at night have tacos or bean dishes, snacks range from fruit to protein bars.

    I did my day 6 (all level 1 so far) today, but man, I felt sore! I blame my run last night more than anything, I guess.

    As far as boredom goes, I have to thank the poster who suggested turning down the TV volume, and listening to music. Saved the shred for me. It's also good to do other things-- though I'm sticking with J's plan of 10 days each for the most part, I do a lot of other things (yoga, running, spin), and so far, doing something at home instead of the gym hasn't been too boring. Otherwise I might suggest mixing it up by doing level 1, 2, 3, in succession instead of each solidly for 10 days in a row. If you're up to it, that is!

    On the boredom conversation... I've done the music while turning the tv down. That definitely helps. But I really try to push myself a little harder each time and really focus on doing the exercises exactly right and making them difficult.

    Their jumping jacks are large and explosive. Even having your legs in the right position for some of the abs makes them either a lot easier or a lot harder. Jump higher on jump-rope, squat lower so your legs are really bent at 90 degrees, lift your back just a bit higher during abs....... I definitely don't do all of this all the time, but it keeps me motivated and makes each day a bit more challenging :).

    Day 8 done. (I'll ignore what I did before I started with this group)

    Today was Day 8, D1L2.

    And WOW I could really feel the difference between levels 1 and 2. Lvl1 had become easy, 2 was a real workout for me :)

    I'm back! I took a couple days off -- I needed some muscle rest and with my TOM...well, TMI to say the least! I took a nice fall walk today, too... Burned 320 cals between the two, so that feels good.

    I'm so inspired by those of you that can shred every day. Something I've learned about me and strength training is that I tend to need rest so I'm trying not to beat myself up since I'm not "keeping up" with the group.

    It's inspiring to see all the posts and progress. I for one already feel stronger, which is great. Now, patience....

    leobaby i've actually only done 11 total workouts. 2 on level 1 and 9 on level 2. just wanted to keep an accurate record in case i lose count. thanks for keeping track of these for us!

    I'm fairly certain i just finished day 7 level 1. i am one workout behind, so i think that's right...any which way, feeling good, keeping up. jsut started with real weights though (had to wait to get paid till i oculd buy real ones- was using 1 pound can of beans as my weights, lol) now i have 3-pounders which are quite the change! i like it though. Here comes week 2! will be moving into level 2 sometime this week :noway:
