Didn't have a chance to post yesterday... but Day 18, Level 2 done yesterday evening. I only got 2 hours of sleep on Thursday night because of a big presentation I have coming up, so I didn't get up and shred first thing. To all of you evening shredders, how do you do it!!?? Knowing I had to be accountable on this thread was probably the only thing that had me motivated to do it after a 10 hour work day! You're all amazing! Will be doing Day 19, Level 2 later today so my knee gets closer to 24 hours rest.0

Day 11 done last night. (Day 2 of level 2)
I did a C2K5 workout before 30-DS and had to force myself but i did it and i put my all into it! when i think of NOT doing it, i think about the whole thing being only 30 days and how i want to finish it out, all the way! so i push myself. it's always for the best. I haven't lost a lot of weight in the past week (about 0.4 lbs) but am still going in the right direction. Perhaps a better judge is that my fiancee is giving me feedback that he *sees* my body changing and that he can tell i'm losing inches by how i feel. i'll take it, I guess! just wish that stupid number would follow quicker. Also, just upped my calories by about 140/day so i'm netting more. i think i was eating too little and that may be why Jillian's crazy *kitten* workout hasn't caused some great weight loss yet!
GREAT JOB to everyone. I am SO impressed and besides, reporting back to you guys and keeping up with my fellow shredders is also a HUGE reason i push myself to do it every day! if every single one of you can, i can too :drinker:0 -
Day 13 - L2D3. My left wrist is killing me! Changed last plank for punches so still got my cardio. Have taped it up and hope it gets better! Forgot to say yesterday - Happy Birthday Mel!
If your wrists are hurting, there is a modification you can do for plank position. i wish she would give it because i personally find it more challenging in my core to do it this way: instead of straight arms and straight wrists, make 2 strong fists and align your body so that your arms are under your shoulders and you are resting on your forearms with fists on the ground to stabilize. always make sure to tuck your butt and hips under and pull in your abs (concentrating on pully the belly button into the spine :P) Resting on your forearms with fists to stabilize might help to take the pressue off of your wrists and like i said, i find it to be more challenging than straight arm plank position! hope this helps and feel better! :happy:0 -

Okay, D21:L3-D1
So, was not ready for level 3 at all! Special day with baby girl, just me and her. big sis gone on a choir field trip-Mickey D's. then a baby shower this evening. More than likely doing another shred later on tonite-lol lol lol lol, but it will not be level3!0 -
Day 14 done--D4L2 Husband and 17yr old daughter joined in. It was manageable bc it was fun with them. Got a 20 min bike sprint workout in and 45 min walk. Now I'm going to kick back and enjoy the snow storm!

I missed the last two days due to work-induced exhaustion.......

thanks, good idea! it turns out that I've actually hurt my wrist - not because of 30DS but because a tripped over earlier this week and landed on my hands - didn't think anything of it at the time! Left hand is now in a splint, so I'm going to have to do a modified 30DS from now on - weights in one arm and on my elbows for planks!0 -

Felt easier today... a lot easier.
And whoever said that Natalie girl is a cheating b*tch, they're right. I never noticed before today but when you're doing punches for cardio, she sits less into it than the 'beginner" girl!!!!!!!!!!0 -

Today is "officially" day 13, right?? Am I finally caught up??? Four days of Jillian x 2 makes me cranky. :grumble:
The good news: getting stronger. The bad news: i HATE anterior raises. Guess I need to do some work there....
Gonna get outside and take a long walk in the sunshine to burn a few more calories and work the stiffness out of my joints -- shredding is hard on my knees and ankles.
How's everybody else doing? Looks like there are lots of successes out there -- the commitment of this group has really helped me "show up" -- I really wouldn't have this level of commitment without YOU all. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:0 -

I do have Strep throat, so I feel less guilty about missing the 2 days earlier (that would be when I was first coming down with it). I am also doing C25K, and was halfway through week 5. I cry thinking about how far I'm going to have to fall back and repeat when I'm ready to start again, I've had to skip 4 days so far.
Just rest up and feel better. We'll be here. I'm going to propose that we do Jillian's Ripped In 30 once we complete this challenge. Let's keep it going!!!! I just don't think I could do another 30 Days of the Shred --- I need variety.0 -

D13 over and done with, D3L2. Really had to push myself to work out today, derby training is really making me sore. But, I hopped on here read how all you awesome people are pushing through and it motivated me to get off my super sore booty and get it done. I love that about this group.
Had a NSV I think last night. Went to a Halloween party at a casino, was a zombie (but a cute one in a skirt, see profile pic). I was on the dance floor busting a move and had to keep pulling up my skirt because it was too big and slipping a bit. I see new clothes in my future. My friend said I should have just let it fall then maybe I would have won the costume contest.0 -

Day 13 level 3 done! Got up early, had a little 15 min run then shredded! Think the trick is going to be to get it done in the morning: clocks go back tonight so mornings will be lighter here in the uk .
Now I need to clean up my eating. I know, I sound like a stuck record...0 -

L2D2 DONE!! Whew!! I sweat even more. I'm using 3 pound weights this go round and here i was thinking 3 pounds wouldn't do much. Oh my goodness! I felt my abs working on things the abs weren't involved in. I tried to get some additional cardio in afterwards but i definitely going to have to do the additional cardio BEFORE 30DS. Everything feels like rubber!0

skipped last night - personal stuff. so i just finished days 12 and 13, both on level one. i think im gonna stick with level one for 15 days, and then try level 2..0

Day 13 done, stayed with Level 2. Very long day and it was tough to push the play button however I feel better having done it and sticking with this 30 day challenge.0

Phew, day 13 level two DONE. Almost didn't do it, but decided to cram it in before bath and bed. So glad I didn't skip out!0
