I live in a very small town no one here has heard of and no one is likely to visit. Our only restaurant is a McDonalds and the town is located in the middle of a dry county.0

I live in Lancaster, CA.
We are a 15 minute drive to the beautiful snowy mountains (well Nov - March), 2 hours from numerous beaches, I live in the dessert so there are always adventures to be had on quads, bikes, sand rails etc. a couple hours away is Lake Isabella (HUGE) and the Kern River (BEAUTIFUL) there are any number of year-round camping sites which of course includes hiking, fishing swimming, boating etc.; about an hour and a half from Disneyland, and Knott's Berry Farm, and about 45 min from Six Flags Magic Mountain; many amazing theme styled fun restaurants. and for a wonderful weekend get away you can travel to Catalina Island (one of my favs) or down to lovely San Diego. Of course depending on the time of year we have great sporting events Angels, Dodgers, Lakers, (well not this year), the Ducks and maybe SOMEDAY we will have a football team. Of course some less expensive things are movies, bowling, miniature golf, go carts, laser tag, batting cages well the list goes on and on. And don't get me started on our wonderful sunsets...yep can you tell I love my California!! One of the few born and raised....and there is much more to do but well I can't think of everything...oh yes don't forget Las Vegas is only three hours away!!!! yee haw!!!!
I grew up down the street from Knotts Berry Farm0 -
I live in Livermore, CA. We are about 20 miles East of San Francisco, CA. There is lots of stuff to do, but I prefer to stay at home and hang out on MFP.0
-
Detroit Michigan, we have car jackings, drive bys, and of course my favorite armed robbery.
In truth, Detroit is no where near as bad as most people think.0 -
I live in Shalimar Fl... Right down the street from Destin FL and Pensacola Beach.. We have the BEST beaches in the world.. Our sand is so white that it looks like snow!!!
Google Crab Island Destin FL and you will see where I'm from...
**WARNING** Don't be Jealous!!! LOL...0 -
I live in Albuquerque, NM. If you like deserts you will be in heaven. If you are like me and want rain, cloudy skies, beaches, and lush forests it will be hell. A hot, dry, hell. Depending on your view it's the Land of Enchantment or the Land of Entrapment. :bigsmile:0

I live outside of Richmond, VA...
There are bars, clubs, parties, malls, restaurants, historical sites, theatres, playhouses, museums, and all kinds of stuff to do here...we're an hour and a half from the beach - Va Beach, and the same distance from the mountains - Charlottesville. About 20-25 minutes to one themepark (Kings Dominion) and 45 from another (Busch Gardens). Its a very central location, and I live in the suburbs. So I live in a beautiful, quiet (until the 4-10 year olds come out in the afternoon) neighborhood...but you can go not even 10 miles and experience the party life. I like it )0 -
I live in Seattle Everything here sucks. There is nothing to do. Nobody should ever move here.
I live in Portland, Oregon (OK, I actually live just outside Portland). It's even worse than Seattle. Do yourselves a favor, forget I mentioned it.0 -
I live in Exeter, Devon, UK, it's a tourist destination famous for:
" cream teas",
Jurassic coastline with fossils on the beach,
400 year old Thatched country cottages,
Blue seas with limestone, sandstone and granite cliffs,
Two moorlands, Exmoor, home of "Lorna Doone" and Dartmoor, Sherlock Holmes' "Hound of the Baskervilles" both populated with wild native ponies,
Surfing beaches,
Uninterrupted coastal walks around Britain, with tiny fishing villages and Naval ports,
Plymouth where the Pilgrim fathers left to sail to America,
Home town of Exeter, was invaded by the Romans (Isca Dunnorium) 200BC- 400AD,Danes invade in 876, Viking raids in 1001AD , The Norman castle was built by William the conqueror and the Cathedral was built over 200 years in 1180 AD by his nephew.
We are very fortunate to live in one of the warmest parts of the Uk, and it is exceedingly beautiful, I love it :-D0 -
San Antonio, Texas! Born and raised....I used to hate it here and would say there was NOTHING to do in this town, but I'm discovering parts of the city I've never been to before. The Riverwalk is obvious, but there is so much more to downtown than that. There is the Southtown portion that has cool places to get a bite to eat and hear music. The Blue Star Arts Complex. The new Museum Reach of the Riverwalk to the Pearl Brewery. Live music at Floore's, Josabi's, Sam's Burger Joint, Tycoon Flats and million other places. The city is also doing a big a parks and rec push to revitalize parks around the area and get people moving. I have found several hidden gems around town that no one goes to. It's awesome having a whole park to yourself!0
