What makes you love your dog???

i love everything about my little man! i love his 2 diff colored eyes, his ridiculous underbite and that hes so devoted to me
this is Dexter, hes a Lhasa apso Shih tzu mix i rescued from the pound (he was dumped there 2x) now you might think hes a lap dog but hes actually a Lab in the Lhasa suit lol can he swim ':D

I love my dog because she's always excited to go on runs with me, she's a complete spaz, and she never wants me to leave but she's always super excited when I get home

I read that when your puppy pees on the floor, you should gently grab them by the collar, move them outdoors, draw your hand back and slap yourself in the face for not paying enough attention to your puppy. haha

I don't have my doggy with me anymore, but I still love him. He was a very old man when I said goodbye.

I love him because he was the kindest, most gentle loving creature, ever. And he was silly enough to make me laugh even when I didn't want to. He was afraid of fireworks and thunder and turned into a huge lapdog at the sound of them, but was ready to kick butt when someone knocked on the door. lol He met the children's torment and attempts to ride him like a horse with kisses. I still miss him every day because he was just so much cooler than any human I've ever known (with maybe the exception of my kids).

Mine isn't with us anymore (rest in peace Roxie), but I loved her most because she was my protector, and always sat up with me when I didn't feel well. Plus, she ALWAYS wanted to go anywhere I did...even when I took her on riduclously long walks and she'd stop, sit down and look at me like "are you serious?"

<--- MistyLynne. She's a rescue. I love her because she always makes me laugh. When I get bummed out, she will snuggle with me, or make sure I'm watching & then will flip her toy up in the air & pounce on it, she knows that makes me laugh! She's always happy to see me when I get home. She makes non-dog people dog people! lol But most of all, she knows all my deep-dark secrets, but loves me anyway! ^..^

I think the question should be "What doesn't make you love your dog?"
