DONT tell him you love him.. This is scary when it happens.. Do something nice.. dinner is a good suggestion.. Maybe drink a bit if you're old enough.. And let him drink a bit too.. Make a move.. If you don't - you'll always wonder 'what could've been'.. If you're scared of getting rejected.. Be more subtle about how you feel.. Down play your feelings for him. Tell him you think he's cute when he does those lunches and things for you.. But with meaning. If he continues to do them - he's totally into you. If not - he thinks its weird you think its cute and he's just doing it to be nice.. I doubt it though..
Or just straight up tell him that you're into him. Ask him on a date.. ??? But let him know it's a date.. and not just as roomies
Youre gorgeous and I'm sure he thinks it too.. GO GET HIM TIGER!!!
I would really advise against "making a move". That could end really really badly. I would advise against being drunk too.
I was in love with my best friend for a really long time. He was my next door neighbour. I kept dropping hints but he never got it, the big buffoon.
One day we were at the pool together and I told him how I felt. It was empty but I just thought a public place would make it less awkward somehow. I think that's personal perference.
But I really think you should talk to him, not make a move. If you just make a move it could end badly after and ruin your friendship.
If you tell him how you feel and you are both mature about whatever response he gives then life will go on..Either together or seperate
He is not going to judge you for telling him. Men are not like women. It will be okay, sweetie :smooched: Good luck.0 -

We could start a betting pool. Who wants: (1) true love, (2) hookup, then break up, (3) friend zone, (4) gay?
(OP, I'm hoping for #1 - let us know!)0 -

Hope all goes well!!!! This shouldn't be making me nervous0

I really hope that all goes well with this. I definitely think that you should tell him how you feel, without using the word love, and make sure to let him know that no matter what you don't want to lose him as a friend. Make sure that he knows that even if he doesn't feel the same way, you don't want things to get weird and you don't want to scare him away.0

Hmm.. either it's going really well or, in true sitcom style, there was some kind of hitch - she found the perfect outfit, did her nails, shaved her legs, got the fondue set up.. and he went to the game with his buddies, then to a bar and hasn't come home yet. (but I've got my fingers crossed that they're into their second bottle of wine by now..)0

Also, I must say that I'm really impressed by how amazing the MFP community is. There's some really kind, thoughtful advice here. :flowerforyou:

Relax everyone. If you've seen the movie, you know that there has to be the deviation where we
First: being to think he's not really the right guy
Second: See evidence that he is the right guy but just isn't that into her and she accepts it
Third: Find out she is going to marry someone else instead
..only THEN will she fall back into his gaze just as he realizes that she's always been the one.0
