~1500 cals. It used to be at around 1300 but I was constantly starving, so I decided to do a 600 cal deficit instead, and it's been working out pretty well!0

Calorie goal is 1200- I do eat my exercise calories so I range bet 1200 and 1900 during the week and still manage to be under calorie goal. Was able to lose 12 lbs since I started this last year mid Dec.0

1800 approx - whether I exercise or not.
I don't eat all my exercise calories because I eat about 100 calories above my so called "maintenance" anyway, so on the days I exercise this creates a very small deficit.
My activity levels are set to "Active" so exercise is accounted for anyway.0 -
1400, I usually eat just under or right at that and don't eat back my exercise calories , which is what works for me.0

I'm experimenting with maintenence now so 2100 net.. and I eat all my exercise calories.
Somedays I eat 3000+ calories with all the exercise I do... not sure about lbs but I've definately been losing inches... It's GREAT. :flowerforyou:0 -
I'm 22, 138.6 pounds (63 kilograms) and I am eating under 1200 calories per day. Usually around the 1000 net calorie mark (sometimes more - no more than 1200 & sometimes less). I have lost 7 kg (15 pounds) since 4th January (5 weeks). Feeling great. I don't eat my calories back.0

i 'm 5'3'', 39, 169.5lbs and I eat 1400-1500 per day and dont eat back many exercise cals - only in an emergency lol! I have been trying to figure this out since beginning of november and this is what now works for me. 1200 just wasn't enough. I have taken a lot of advice from this forum about eating at least your BMR and mine is 1400 so that works for me!0

Hi all! I am 5'5", 31 yo, and weigh 160 lbs. (Down from 172 so far, woo-hoo)! And I'm so confused. So, my daily calorie goal is set at 1310 and I usually eat (intake) about that much, but when I workout I burn between 400-500 and that takes my net down to 800-900. I don't eat back my exercise cals because I feel like it's counter-productive. Am I going about this diet all wrong? My weight has been dropping a steady 2-3 lbs per week. I don't feel that that hungry, tired, or deprived. I do want to do this healthily and so that the weight loss lasts. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks ladies! Good luck to you all too!
If you're losing 2 - 3 lbs per week then it sounds like 1310 is working for you.0 -

Im 29, 5'3", 110lbs and in maintenance. I eat 1600 calories a day sometimes using exercise calories but I generally 'save' some up for the weekend where I'll have one day where I'll consume up to 2500 cals.0

I eat 1200 daily and burn about 2500 calories a week. I eat back my exercise calories in two ways, Chinese food lunch once a week (no rice or lo mein, just chicken, veggies and shrimp) and I allow myself a 5 hour window on Saturday for any dinner and dessert I want. Losing about 1 to 1 1/2 lbs a week0

i range between 1200-1400 and eat back some exercise cals. i mainly focus on eating GOOD LEAN PROTEIN directly after my workout! that helps heal muscles!0

I eat between 1750 and 2050, it depends on whether I am lifting or not. Macro nutrients are 40/30/30 (carbs/fat/protein) and I don't hate myself if I miss the numbers. I am happy as long as I get close.0

33, 5'5'', 130lbs. Trying to lose 10lbs or so so I am eating between my 0.5lb a week loss level and my maintenance level so anywhere between 1380 and 1630 per day and I am eating back my exercise calories. I'm not so much bothered about losing the pounds as I am about replacing the fat with lean body mass so if I go over a bit on my calories I don't really worry. I'm playing the long game here, rather than looking for a quick fix.0

Eat the calories back... because although it's great that you're losing a lot each week, some of that will be muscle mass.
Which is something you don't want to lose, because the more muscle mass you have - the better your metabolism works... and this makes it easier to lose weight & keep it off.0 -
HEY!! im 5'10 and 154lbs my daily goal is 1,430 but i exercise most days and eat my exercise calories so usually eat 2000-2,200 most days, if I dont exercise I can just about stay within my daily goal but never feel satisfied and tend to go over a little. Seriously don't know how some people can live off 1000-1200 a day i'd be so miserable!!!! what im doing now seems to really work for me, I have eaten as little as 1000 calories a day (sometimes with exercise) and I would lose weight but it would never stay off now i lose a 1lb or 1.5lb max a week and it stays off, it takes longer but really it takes less if i think about how inconsitsant it used to be when id eat less. I'm 5'5 at 130lb. I eat about 1690 before exercise calories (lately), but was at around 1450 for the last couple months. I eat back most of my exercise calories, putting me around 2000-2200 on workout days...sometimes as much as 2500. I'm set to only lose 1/2 lb a week.0

Goal weight of 135ish.
2000 net calories a day
I eat back my calories burned, so usually 2200-2500 on workout days.
This is to lose roughly 0.5lb a week. Maintenance is around 2300-2400 net.0 -

I'm 24, 5'5" & 170 lbs. I'm eating 1200 calories/day. Sometimes I eat my exercise calories back, sometimes I don't. I try not to eat ALL of them back if I can help it. I've been stuck at 170 for 2 weeks now though, so I'm trying to figure out what I can do to get the scale to move - I've been thinking about upping my calories a little, so if anyone is in my height/weight range & can comment on how many calories they eat, that'd be great!0

I have my goal set at 1 pound a week and MFP gives me 1400 calories. My workout adds between 300-400 and sometimes I eat them and sometimes I don't. Depends on how hungry I am and what kind of bad food sneaks in to my day.0

Anywhere from 1500 to 1700 and I'm not into exercising as seriously as I need to be. And I'm still losing consistently. But the calories I do eat, I try to make them count. I have a horrendous sweet tooth but I am settling that down and trying to pick wholesome, whole foods whenever possible before I give in to the cravings. Seems to be working just fine for me.0

5'6" and 175lbs MFP has me set at 1520 for a 1lb per week weight loss. I always make sure i eat a net of 1200 minimum, which means i am eating back 300-400 calories from excercise. I am loosing 0.5-1lb per week doing this which i am pleased with as i have PCOS0
