I did 30DS for 30 days, but I had quite a few skip days. I also began ice skating twice a week for the last month, and added about 20-30 minutes of extra circuit training.
    I am 5'4"
    SW:149
    CW:143
    Waist: 32.5 in.
    > 31 in.
Under belly button: 37 in. ---->35 in.
    Hips: 38 in.
    > 36 in.
    Thighs: 24 in.
    > 23 in.

My GW is 125-130 so I have a ways to go, but I'm getting there and you can too if you keep trying! It's all worth it!

Oh yay! I was thinking about posting mine. I'm currently in my second round of the Shred. I started back in November and alternated between that and regular exercise. I admit, some days I'd miss doing 30 DS. Nonetheless, I managed to make it all the way through the video (all three levels). Today, I will be finishing day 10 of level 1.

Here are my 10 day into 30DS pictures.

STARTING (10 days into my first round back in November) I think I was 155 lbs. or so

PRESENTLY (today is day 10, second round) I'm 147 lbs.

    Bump!
  • Wow! Seeing this is really making me consider trying 30ds but I always give up after a few days because lack of motivation :frown: Anyone know of any groups that are starting 30ds??

I am in one called the "30 Day Shred Challange" and yes whoever started it spelled challenge wrong. But they are great for giving support and you can join anytime. :)

Oh and I have 3 days before I finish the 30DS. I'll be sure to post my pictures here on Monday. :)
  • My results are from the Ripped in 30 video. I only lost 2 lbs. I"m 37yo, 5'3 1/2 and 7 months post baby in the after pic.

  • How intense are the workouts? I have just been diagnosed with mild/moderate degenerative disc disease, but want to get started on something and I'm not allowed to run. Would I be able to handle this?

She does an 'advanced' and beginner version for most exercises. You should be able to modify it to your level.

Im considering replacing some of my current exercise on my cross trainer with the 30day shred dvd after i've seen all the results, however, the only time I get to do it is in the morning after breakfast(boyfriend hogs the tv on his games at night so I cant do it then). Do you think i will still get the benefits out of this dvd by doing it in the morning?

Of course. I do my workouts in the morning. Some people say that working out before breakfast is actually better than doing it later in the day, but I don't know how much of that is true. I've been working out in the mornings because it definitely gets done that way and I don't have to worry about it all day :)

Great! Looking forward to it, alot of hardwork in store by the sound of it, hope I see results and will update with them if they're good ;)

Just reserved some weights that im gonna pick up tomorrow so gonna start it as of Sunday as Im going swimming.
  • I just finished Level 1 today, will start Level 2 on Monday. I started the program on 2/15, these are my Day 10 results.

    Waist: 40.5-39 (1.5 inch lost)
    Hips: 44.5-43.5 (1 inch lost)
    Chest: 40.0-38 (2 inch lost)
    Neck: 15.0-14 (1 inch lost)

Total of 5.5 inches lost since 2/15
  • I started my weight loss odyssey at the beginning of the year, losing 5 lbs in my first week working out on my elliptical. Then I discovered Jillian from another thread on MFP just like this one...

I lost 13 lbs doing 30 Day Shred every night (except for 1 week when I went on a cruise). I immediately moved on to Ripped in 30 and finished week 1 yesterday. I lost an additional 1 lb this week and I'm starting week 2 tonight. I take pictures every week, but I'm saving those until I lose some more.

I've lost 4 inches off of my waist, 3 inches off of my hips, and 3 inches off of my chest, and 0.5 inch from my neck.
    Body fat is down 4.5%

I am a believer in JM and plan to keep it up!

I'm on day 17 and I have pics on my profile with my transformation....

I got this from sometimes eating my exercise calories and sometimes not, I'm trying to trick my body regularly so it doesn't get used to anything so I can see faster results.... but I do the shred everyday and only clock it as 22-25 minutes of circuit training, general, depending on my effort or dumb bell weights (either 5 or 3 lbs). The exercise is actually 27 minutes but I don't count the cool down.

The first pic is just a cute pic of my face but the second and third are the beginning of the shred and the last two pictures are as of today.... Go ahead and check 'em out

So I know there aren't very many men who actually do this program, but I did and am very happy that I did. I didn't take pictures ( I really should have, I am kicking myself in retrospect), but I was able to see better results than I even thought I would. I lost a total of 23 lbs during the entire process and a ton of inches. I was very pleased with the intensity of the program. I thought it was a great way to get moving again and after I was done was very ready for more intense training. I would highly recommend it for anyone getting started.

I finished it a week ago and moved onto Ripped in 30 :D
    Measurements:

    Weight: 108.4-104.9 (3.5 pounds lost)
    Waist: 26.5-25.5 (1 inch lost)
    Hips: 32.5-31.0 (1.5 inches lost)
    Thighs: 21-20,5 (0.5 inches lost)
    Arms: 13-12.5 (0.5 inches lost)

My measurements and pounds don't say as much as the mirror does. I feel transformed, especially in my arms and back. I was surprised I only lost half an inch in my thighs because there's a world of difference there! Even though I have a long way to go, the 30 Day Shred was a great start and a great push :) I took way too many rest days and had way too many splurge days, but now I'm ready to give Ripped in 30 my ALL!
