1) That I can eat my whole day's caloric intake in one meal! So very wrong!!!! But I really had no idea...

I've learned Facebookers spend too much time in front of a computer hating on people making strides to their goals. I know this because I used to be one. Then, thankfully, I found MFP. How I've changed...0

Serious lessons:
1) That I really didn't overeat that much. Most of my calories were from sodas and etc.
2) Learning what BMR and TDEE were. If I had been taught this instead of the food pyramid all during high school, I would have been a lot more healthy.
3) Plateauing and how eating below BMR for a long period of time was causing it. This has been the cause of every failed diet for me in the past.
