I accept friend requests if there is a message attached and the guy doesn't seem like a creep

I've got some really motivating MFP friends who are men, but I've also had requests saying "hey sexy add me i luv ur pics" or some crap like that, and when you're in a relationship it would make you feel deceitful to accept requests or reply to mails like that, I'd feel I were being disrespectful to my boyfriend!

That is only a small minority of the men on here though. Most people are here for health/fitness or weight loss...not to flirt or hook up, which is a good thing

I accept both, but am picky about male friends I accept. Many men around here are douche canoes.

I have heard "douche (fill in the blank with many words), but not never have heard canoe.

I accept all kinds (men or female), but I do delete after 20 to 30 days of inactivity. OR I can't handle what they are talking about (suicide, ED, etc). I am supportive to everyone as long as they are supportive of me.

I didn't accept male requests at first - and even some female requests. (Usually without messages).

Why? Because several years ago I was unfortunate enough to be followed by an internet stalker. This man found my phone number, and everything. The situation has been dealt with and all, but I'm very wary of the internet. Even MFP.

I accept FR's from just about everyone as long as there is a note in the FR. Although if you send me a nice note in the FR then follow it up after I accept with a "hey wanna see my d!ck" PM...you're gonna get deleted faster than you can whip it out. Just sayin'...

Well, I figured it went without saying that involving bacon would prevent the deletion.

Not sure why people are gender biased but I choose to accept those who are seeking motivation, support, etc. I hope that its nothing personal but as the saying goes "to each their own" :drinker:

Creepers don't always look like something from Tales of the Crypt . . . sometimes they look like your average every day poster.

I accept both! I need encouragement from all people and I would like honest opinions from males as well as to how they see me. However, some females are very conscious about their weight and body so I can understand their point as well, although sometimes females can be just as mean if not meaner than males!

I would actually like more male friends on here, mine are almost all female but that's just the way it's happened, wasn't planned. I have a couple of male friends and one of them is very supportive and gives good advice so if there are any more male mfp'ers like this is love to add/accept them as friends
