Here's what my stomach looked like in October 2011:
And now this month, in April:
My belly was one of the last areas to lose fat and I still have more that I would like to lose, just took a lot of patience to keep working and eventually chiseling away that stubborn fat! When I got to around 150, that's when I finally started rapidly losing around my waist. That means it took me about 30 pounds before my body was like, "Hmm okay, guess we don't need this fat anymore." and shrunk those fat cells down! So it's true that you can't really target certain areas! All the sit ups I was doing were working the muscles beneath the fat though. It was nice to be able to finally see the definition that was waiting.
what'd you do?0 -

...Think I need new "spandex".
I lost most my weight just eating above my bmr and below/at my tdee. I don't usually keep weight around my waist. My body saves it for my *kitten*.0 -

I found a website about this - so take it how you will --- BUT
It is more about getting to a healthy body mass instead of losing weight.... So if you were hot and 110 lbs in high school and want to look like that again - it does mean that getting to 110 lbs will make you look like that. You might have less muscle now and more fat so you will still look heavier than you did at that time. What you need to do is increase the muscle while burning the fat. So you could be 140 lbs but need to lose 50 lbs of fat and gain 20 lbs of muscle...
Hopefully that makes sense.0 -
