"Goal weight" means different things for different people. I'm 5'10" and my goal weight is 140, but that's mainly because I've never been overweight and I'm at a pretty good level of fitness. Other people who have been overweight have different goals and those goals may be higher than the absolute lowest weight for their height. So I think it's pretty rude for people to assume they know everyone's histories when the most important thing is that people have goals that they are striving for and that they believe are attainable.

I am currently 5 ft 10 in and now 205. I run-Barefoot-minimalist, bike, and lap swim-but do not consider myself a triathlete. Would like to get to 175 or 180. My current pants size is 34, sometimes a 32. Would really be AWESOME if I could get into a size 30, which I have not seen for YEARS!!!!!0

im 5'7 and my GW is 143, im just hit 148 today and now im thinking 136lbs, maybe. i dont know, i'll judge it when i get to my initial goal! lol0

5'8 and would ultimately like to be around 130... but for a more realistic shorter term goal, I am aiming for 145-1500

Im 5'7 I like to be 160lbs (currently 170) but even I know thats to small...imo so 165lbs is what im going for....:ohwell:
I'm 5'7" as well...my weight in my profile pictures is just short of 180lbs. Current weight is almost 200lbs (due to a surgery). I've found I'm pretty happy between 170lbs and 180lbs with my current lean mass. I'd be really happy with 180lbs and 10-15% bodyfat.0 -

I'm 5'0 and currently at 169 lbs. Ideal weight for me would be 120-125 lbs.0

6'3" and I'm about 192. My initial was about 190, but I'm probably going to drop a few more pounds before I start adding on the muscle mass. Ideal is likely to be in the 190-205 range, since I don't want the super muscled look0

Um no 5'5 should not be 120, I used to be 114 at 5'6 and looked horribly skinny. Even at 125, too skinny on my frame. Ideal body weight for a woman at 5'5 is between 117 and 155! Most of the weights that people are shooting for on here are too low!0

5'5" hoping to hit 140... with 135 my "ideal" weight according to BMI, I'm sure 140 would look good too. I'm just trying to get healthy. :bigsmile:0

I'm 4ft 10.5 in, and I don't really know what my ideal weight is. I've been really skinny(5st), I've been really big(7st 1lb), well I am at my heaviest now but I want a middle ground and I want to get there the right way this time. I guess I'd love to be 6st again but I think how I feel matters more to me than a number on a scale. The scale has determined my mood for far too long and maybe it's time to get rid.0
