Love takes time. Infatuation takes seconds.

    And stalking takes commitment.

How can you be "in love" with someone with whom you have never even had a conversation?

    When your child is born.

Dude...you just might be my hero for the week now. You've got to stop that.

    Seriously.

My husband made a bet with me less than 48 hours after we met...that I would be either engaged or married within a year. Bet was made on August 5th, first date was August 27th, married the following July 24th. Not first sight, but pretty close.

Honestly, the first thing that comes to mind is ... "How many other women did he make that bet with?"

Before I met my boyfriend, I would have told you a flat out "NO". Then he came along and my mindset about it totally changed. I think with the right person, it is possible. But, I also think a lot of people confuse lust with love.

Affection and infatuation - yes, but love... no. Love includes commitment and a willingness to put that person above yourself.

I believe that it could happen for other people, but not myself. I tend to fall for people waaaay too quickly to ever be able to truly love someone 'at first sight'.

That's only because your dog had been drinking.

Well When I met my late wife Zena, it was the end of the Night at a club in Norwich England, I knew by the end of those three dances I wanted her to be my wife, so I did something I never used to do and I asked her for her phone number, she then did something she never used to do and gave it to me. Not sure its first site but took about 20 mins. We were married 23 years 10 months and 9 days when god called her home.

Sometimes you just know that there's a connection. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Absolutely. Remember, men fall in love with their eyes, women fall in love with their ears. At least that's what Dr. Phil said the other day.

So... taking that statement verbatim, at face-value... it would be scientifically impossible for a woman, to fall in love, at first "sight." Wouldn't it?
