My favorite NSV is that I FINALLY am comfortable enough to run in just a sports bra and shorts without another tank top / shirt. I worked super hard to get to that point and it feels so good!

Love this.... I am VERY CLOSE to finally move from the "obese to overweight"..... on the Wii.... closest I've been since 2009!

There's the awesome locally owned/operated ice cream shop in town. Like Dairy Queen but better! And they've been open for the season since March--and I've only been once!

This is kind of a huge deal considering I used to be able to talk myself into going like, nearly once a week last summer. Woo-hoo, willpower!

I got a ladies UK size 18 waterproof coat today, in burgundy. admittedly it is a little snug but it fits! My usual black and mans size XXL is fast becoming a distant memory.

I am having to go out this week and buy a few belts to hold up my jeans. Just got them a couple of months ago before I started with this and don't mind at all they don't fit anymore. Excited enough to hold off on buying the next size or two down since I plan on loosing even more. Seeing a two inch gap in the tummy area of my pants is reward enough and incentive enough to keep on going. No scale needed.

Ok, not exactly earth-shattering, but two days ago I was in a rush getting dressed and without thinking put my socks on while standing on the opposite leg.
Then stopped and thought "I haven't done that in 20 years" !
  • I've been running for 7 weeks and my overall time has gone from 15:46 to 13:12. Still a ways to go, but pretty awesome for 7 weeks, I think!

A couple of weeks ago while walking the trail my husband looks at me and says "I can TOTALLY see you've lost weight. I am so proud of you. Your doing great!" I about fell over! Also while walking the trail my three almost 7yr olds keep telling me "Slow down mommy...wait on me" LOL...Last Friday night my mom told me she could really tell I was losing weight and someone gave me some clothes that they could no longer wear that was a 22/24 I was hoping to wear them later in the summer...THEY FIT. I started two months ago at a 26/28 or 28. I am down 21lbs now...That trail I mentioned I can actually walk it with my family. Before I started this journey in mid-April I had to sit at the end and wait for them. My short term goal is to be 30lbs down by the end of the month and by Christmas to be down 80lbs. Overall...I just want to get this weight off and tone up without having to have surgery.

Today was my first NSV in this part of my weight loss journey. It was something that had been frustrating me for a long time, and is something fairly small - I was able to do a quadricep stretch with no hindrance. I wasn't able to grab my ankle easily before, and now I can very simply. I'm not sure if this is due to better flexibility, or because there is less mass restricting me from grabbing my ankle. :)

    Hooray!

    I've got a few:

    - My jeans are starting to feel a bit looser now - got a couple of pairs I now have to wear with belts to keep them up.
    - Bought 2 size 12 tops that fit me perfectly - one being a fitted t-shirt
    - My mum was saying my aunty (her sister) said I was looking really good in terms of my figure
    - The buttons on my work blouses are no longer popping at my boobs anymore
    - One of my friends hugged me a couple of weeks ago and said they felt a difference when they hugged me:smile:
    - I can now swim 10 lengths of my local pool in a row - taking a 30 second break and repeating 5 times instead of 4 lengths with a 30 second break 10/12 times (discovered this today)

I've only been at this for three weeks (6lbs down so far), but I had one this morning. I bought a sundress about five years ago that I adore. It fit wonderfully when I bought it, but I had gained about 25lbs since then. I tried it on last summer and it was just a little too snug around my stomach and hips that I didn't feel comfortable in it. Very sad.

This morning, I needed to dress up a little and decided to give it a shot since most of my dress clothes are for winter. I was really surprised that the 'snugness' was gone! It doesn't seem like I've lost that many inches so far, but maybe I have! :)

I have a torn ACL in my knee. I have not been able to run for many years. I finally tried it.

Started slow. 1/2 mile at 5.5 mph.
A month and a half later to tonight.

    1 1/2 miles , Speed 6.0 to 7.0

I was in Switzerland hiking and I went further and faster then all the teenagers who's had to stop and tai breaks. There were at least 75 teenagers I passed. I may outweigh them all and be much shorter but as far as endurance, stamina and leg muscles I can totally kick their butts.

i haven't lost weight in awhile but my arm flab and belly chub is toning up.

I was at my boss' retirement party.I wore a cute little T- shirt( you know that this material is non-forgiving to the body) material dress with rosettes made of ribbon around the neckline and some sexy sandals by Fergie. My co- workers, male and female alike, kept pulling me to the side and telling me "Girl, You are rocking that dress". I couldn't remember when was the last time I got so many compliments about my weight loss and how I looked.
  • These are my favorite the NON SCALE Victories. I find these more inspiring and life changing than the success stroies :)

Managed to put on a belt that when I got it for Christmas I couldn't even DREAM of getting around me. Mind you it's on the very last (or is it the first) notch....but I was so psyched that I was able to put it on and wear it through an entire work shift without cursing it!

It was raining, and I didn't have an umbrella, and I wasn't embarrassed to be running to my car.

This!!!! I did this on last Friday & I sprinted rather than jogged :) (anything faster than my shuffle is a sprint...heheh:laugh: )

    I got one.

I ran a 10k 1.5 weeks ago (june 9th). Monday after I decided I wanted to do a lot better. I mainly walked the 10k and I want to run it next year also I have a 5k Warrior Dash coming up this August. So Monday I started my running regimen. I did 1.75 miles in about 17 minutes, so close to 9 min a mile? I think not bad. I ran m/t took wed off th/f was slower than m/t (or so it seemed, I didn't time myself) and took the weekend off.

Yesterday I did the same 1.75 miles but I ran more instead of walking!! I was so pumped! I run by a cemetery and it's a long block it's 1.5 if not 2 blocks long and I ran it FULLY :D I was so happy. This was after I had run 2 blocks in the start. Then I normally am slower on the return run home so I pushed myself to run the last block home and I did it :D

I think yesterday was a great day :) Faster too :) I haven't checked the time yet but I know I was faster <3

Unfortunately today I have shin splints from not stretching my calf muscles yesterday after running so I'm taking for sure today and tomorrow off from running. (going to swim tho tomorrow)

so yeah my awesome NSV :)
