Why do you work out?

Because I think a toned body is more attractive and that is what I want to see when I look in the mirror at myself. I turn heads as it is, it isn't about needing/wanting attention, it is all about my own positive self image - I want to look in the mirror and tell myself "you did it, you look great."0

Saw this recently:
"I work out so I wont be the first to die in the Hunger Games"....score!0 -
I work out because I love to hike.
Anything to make it a little easier is a plus in my book.
And to help me lose weight0 -
I workout because it just feels so good to stress your body and push it a little farther every time. I love to challenge myself and see how strong I can get or that I am.
I sit at a desk for 10 hours a day on average so getting and moving feels sooooo good!
Edit: I worked out looooonnnggg before I started eating right. It's just always been a passion/hobby.0 -
Because I've lost weight before dieting alone but it never stays off and I'm unfit and flabby. I want to be fitter and tighter and get back into smaller clothes for the long run!
But being able to eat a bit more is also motivating me to keep at it!0 -
I work out because I have my entire life. Plus I feel stronger, happier, more energized and just better all around. I feel like a better person. When i get through with a really hard workout I feel like one of those elite athletes I always wanted to be as a child that people look up too. And that runners high at the end of a 10k is one of the most amazing feelings I have ever had.0

I work out because...:
a)...I feel amazing afterwards
b)...it means I can eat more
c)...I want to burn the fat that's in my body
d)...I want to build some muscle and get some definition in my body
e)...I want to improve my fitness levels
f)...it gives me something to do when I'm bored0 -
I work out because it makes me happy (literally). I am a much happier person after I exercise. If my husband (or kids or anyone) and I argue I go and exercise. It makes me feel better. Also, I love the feeling of sore muscles after a good workout. Sore muscles = my body changing in a good way = me being happy again
PS: I also get to eat more0 -
because i'm a crazy bi*^h if I don't. simple as that.
working out got me thru watching my father die of cancer, watching my grandmothers quality of life go down the can after a stroke and it's getting me thru my battle with infertility right now. I can't even imagine how I would deal with the stress if I couldn't exercise.0 -
I love the feeling of working out and getting in shape! Plus, I have many, many, many little cousins and we love playing and running around, but it's no fun to be so quickly out of breath.0
-
I work out because not only does it give me something to do during the day but i feel lighter, stronger and hotter when I see my six pack coming in0
-
I work out to be healthy and set a good example for my children. I don't want them to be lazy (and unhealthy) like I was for so long.0
-
Because it makes me incredibly happy.
...no, seriously.0 -
Despise it but I am sorta liking it.0
-
Initially, to look good naked and prove to myself and others I could do it. Lately, it's to keep from choking the crap out of some of the "grown ups" in my life.0
-
I like how my mind relaxes afterward and how well I sleep that night. Exercise is the biggest stress buster there is.0
-
Because it makes me healthier and stronger.0
-
For the physical reason, I want my body to look the best it possibly can, not just losing the weight, but on a more personal mental level, i love how I feel after I've worked out and when I don't honestly its like a dark cloud over my head! lol I just don't feel right anymore if I go long without exercising, it's become a part of my life now.0
-
I want abs of steel.0
-
Because strong women are sexy.0
-
Because I love it, and to help get rid of all this fat so I can see my 6-pack! I love being able to do more, and do it longer!0
-
Simple. It makes me feel good. :happy:0

Working out makes me feel good! And it helps to get all this fat off my body.0

I work out because I like to eat a bit more than the calories my body needs As much as I hate it, I get up early and get it done before going to work or else it won't get done during the day. However, I have read from good sources that it is cutting calories that really makes you lose weight and not so much the exercise. I tend to agree with that because when I just work out and not diet, the pounds don't dip at all. Now I'm so used to it, I feel strange when I don't work out.0

It is a great stress reliever and helps me sleep at night. Loving the shape my arms are getting from the push ups and my thighs from the lunges and squats.0
-
So I can eat more AND lose weight!0
-

to set a good example for my daughter (this is actually #1)

I want awesome girl muscles (muscles are hot)
I get rid of all the garbage from my day when I am running (the garbage in my head)
cowgirl (it's hotter if you look good while doing it)0 -
