My usual weekday breakfast is cereal, skim milk and a banana. Today it was Trader Joe's Toasted Oatmeal Flakes (my absolute favorite cereal) with skim milk and the banana for 241 cals. I want to try the egg cups sometime.

Breakfast has always been hard for me, I never liked pastry or sweet things for breakfast (even when I didn't care about what I ate) and am never hungry when I wake up. I've had to train myself to eat breakfast because I know its important and since I don't get my lunch break till around 2-3pm, I know I'll be starving by then!

    2 poached eggs - 147 calories
    3 cherry tomatoes - 9 calories
handful of fresh basil - 1 calorie
    Total: 157 calories

Not pictured: large pot of earl grey with cream - 38 calories

Sometimes I also add a piece of wholegrain toast (69 calories) and that still puts me at under 300 calories.

Poached Egg on Toast and spinach - 215 calories

Do you do anything special to the spinach or just steam it or what? I'm trying to liven up the spinach and egg thing:) We also love artichoke hearts with it.

I can't figure out how to upload pics (lol!) but here's what I had for b'fast this morning (found on skinnytaste website)

    Egg, Tomato & Scallion sandwich

hard boiled egg, 2 slices tomato, tsp of dijonnaise, 1/4 slice provolone cheese, chopped scallions on whole wheat english muffin. It was MMMMM, MMMMM GOOD!

    234 cals / 30 carbs / 8g fat / 15g protein / 9g sugar (using MFP recipe builder)

You could lighten it up by using bagel thins - I just didn't have any.
