Eat less move more - I cut down portion size and started to excercise. Lost 20 pounds then stalled.

Eat more to weigh less - Raised my calories and protein cut back the carbs a bit and started losing again.

Lift Heavy - Stopped playing with the barbie weights and got serious, now seeing some amazing changes.

All three have helped me so much.
    this exactly!

Unless you puke, faint or die, KEEP GOING! You are stronger than you think!

What you eat in private, you wear in public

    These are great!

Don't let fear of failure keep you from trying...

You appreciate the things in life more that
you have had to work hardest for...

You can lose weight through diet alone, but that may not give you
The body you had hoped for when you reach your goal.

Don't deprive yourself of the things that you want, just decide if they fit into your
    Calories....

I can't think of any diet advice I have ever heard. Oh yes....you don't have to eat everything on your plate, and hunger is your friend.

But my personal diet advice would be there's no such thing as luck when it comes to weight.

For me it was "count calories, log your food".

Seems like the most simplistic advice is the best!

Most of my life decisions are based on Whitney Houston

"I decided long ago never to walk in anyone's shadows, if I fail, if I succeed, at least I'll live as I believe, no matter what they take from me, they can't take away my dignity"

Basically, its up to me, its not up to anyone else to pressure, goad, hassle me into something, if I can't do it for me, then why am I doing it?

It applies to way more than just weight loss

Also, Don't give up what you want MOST for what you want right now.

    Now this is good advice!

    Best advice:

    1. Recommit every day.
    2. Plan your meals the day before.
    3. Eat a large protein breakfast, no carbs.

This works for me. So far. I hope!

What do you do to look as cute as that baby?

The single best advice I've heard:

Appearance is a consequence of fitness

If you sit on the couch and eat Doritos all day, chances are you look like you sit on the couch and eat Doritos all day. If you run a few marathons a year, over time you will look like you run a few marathons a year. If you dedicate yourself to becoming a boxer, incidentally over time you will look like a boxer. Train like a gymnast and you will begin to look like a gymnast.

Far too many people want to look like a professional athlete while doing virtually nothing to achieve that goal; there are rare cases where people can fake it, look like they are far more fit than they really are; chances are you aren't that person, don't bother trying to see if you are. Do it the hard way, the right way, and you won't have to wonder why you aren't making progress.

It took a long time to put the weight on, it's going to take some time to take it off, but you'll get there. Be patient.
