What's your Non-Scale Victory for Today?

The outfit that I chose for work today will barely stay on! My pants are almost falling off, and my sweater keeps slipping off my shoulder. YAY!!!

  • The skirt I bought last summer was so loose this morning that I couldn't wear it. Threw it in the donation box.

I put on a fitting tank top...and I didnt have to pull it down. It went down on its own. A couple months ago, I had to struggle to get it down over my body....and then pulled it off because it looked ridiculous.

I went shopping for clothes yesterday. I'd been putting this off because its never been fun for me at my size. We are going on vacation so I had to get clothes. Last time I bought clothes I wore size 24. To my delight the new clothes are size 16!!! I'm thrilled!

I always wondered what NSV stood for "non-scale victory" - duh! I always thought it meant new size victory LOL. Great job on feeling good!

The shorts I tried on this morning fit, zipped and buttoned and I could not get them over my hips last summer. YAY!

I got up this morning at 4:30 and Zumba'd. This was hard for me because I usually get up at 5:30 but I had to fill in for a girl at work. This would have given me the ultimate excuse to say in bed but I got up!
  • That I really, did NOT want to do any form of exercise today, and I still got in from work, and got my *kitten* in gear and did something!!

By the way, well done everyone!
  • Awesome!!

This is the 2nd day in a row that I've worked out- I usually alternate days (if even that) so its a victory for me. :)

A woman at the gym who's there ALL the time told me I not only look great but she can tell how much I've progressed in strength and endurance since I first started going in November. Nice to hear!

I felt fat and unmotivated, and a co-worker noticed I had lost weight. I really needed that!

Once a month on Friday's we can wear jeans to work . When I put mine on this morning and buckled the belt, I had to go down 3 holes in order for them to stay on! Down 3 holes! wow, I was pleased, gave me more motivation to continue Insanity!!

Hi friend! Mine is being able to run around my gym building twice! Usually I can only go once (It's a quarter mile around) and until last week, I always had to slow to a walk. My endurance is definitely getting better

I pulled a brand new Old Navy t-shirt with the tag still on it out of the closet this a.m., size XXL that I'd never been able to wear...and now it's hanging on me!

And yesterday's capris had about 4 extra inches in the waist. If my hips would go away too, they'd fall completely off!

Yay for all of us in our progress :drinker:

I am able to wear a shirt I bought a year ago and never wore it because I couldn't get it to button. Now, it fits just perfectly.

My NSV was not by choice, BUT everything happens for a reason! I wanted to have a DQ mini cheesequake blizzard for lunch for 330 calories (yes I know, not truly "healthy" BUT I was craving it). For whatever reason they were not open when I walked by today for lunch, so I was "forced" to go to Subway instead. I settled for a chicken breast sandwich for 387 calories in the ice cream's place.

All in all, it was meant to be! I feel better about my lunch this way anyway.

Well, that's certainly one to which we all aspire, I think.
  • Wore a shirt yesterday that a month ago was just right- When I got home from work, I noticed it was REALLY loose and that I'd probably been letting the girls see a little too much light all day! Guess it belongs in the "pass on" pile now!

I've had a couple this week:

    1) I've been able (for the first time in my memory) to get my thumbs and forefingers to touch each other when wrapped around my legs
    2) All the summer clothes that were too tight last year are now falling off me. It's gonna cost a fortune to buy a new wardrobe!!
