    Pleasantly surprised by my weight loss since we celebrated a birthday with cake and cookies this weekend. Got in my exercise though and I think that helps keep me on track. Mind over matter! Have a great week everyone.

    I think my weight this week is a lot closer to my actual "true" weight. Last week, I had just came back from camping so I was probably still a little bloated from the sodium (hot dogs and chips aren't really diet friendly foods!:laugh: ). Still really happy with the big loss :drinker: I might be able to change my goal to 120 pounds instead of 125 after all... We'll see!:smile:

    I had no motivation to go to the gym last week and didn't manage to go once:blushing: , so this week my personnal mini challenge is to go at least 3 times. I want to get back on track before I decide to take the whole summer off :noway:

    Yay! After two months of losing a fraction of a pound a week, I at least lost one whole pound! Maybe this will continue.

    Dad's knee replacement surgery went well. Last week was therapy every day, as will be this week. My schedules have been off since his surgery on the 27th of June.

    A couple thoughts: I mentioned in the first post that I've never done anything like this before. I am completely shocked about putting my weight down in writing in a pretty public fashion! I don't discuss these numbers with ANYone. I'm like a little kid playing hide and seek with body parts hanging out everywhere--people can of course SEE what I weigh but I pretend it's not really what it is. All of that to say, I am surprised how much accountability and thoughtfulness this has brought to my health regimes. I've been exercising for several months and kinda watching what I eat but having put down these goals and shared them so honestly has been a bigger deal than I would have expected. I have lost my first two pounds again for about the 5,000th time but if I have another week like last week then perhaps it can become 4!

    Also, I'd been keeping up with the posts pretty well til the weekend! Oh my! So many pages of posts I've missed! I will have to come back and catch up a little later. I also have to find a picture to upload and get one of those nifty ticker tape deals! MFP learning curve!

    I enjoy and appreciate all the input, feedback and encouragement. I'm glad to be doing this!

    I was a little worried about overeating this week because of 4th of July revelries, as I tend to eat too much when I'm with friends and family. But I actually followed through! And tried to keep my water intake high :)

    Very happy with this.

    It isn't as low as I would like but I indulged in ice cream this weekend to celebrate summer finally arriving! I'm back to work today and I get my water bottle back so I will be drinking more water... I have this habit of drinking more when it's from a bottle instead of a cup as I don't refill my cup.

    I know I haven't posted much but I have read all of your posts and I think you are all amazing, inspiring and well on your way to reaching your goal!

    My son was sick last week (hand, foot, and mouth), and then from Thursday until today, I have been ill (sore throat, dizziness, feet blisters), but will be doing exercise this week, and don't worry, i have been resting, have a 5k on Saturday that I am running so i refuse to let my body say anything less then we need to!!!!!!!!!!! My water intake was up to 5 glasses, when normally i only drink about 3 a day, but what triggered all of my illness to start was drinking water from the faucet that had softener salt in it instead of the actual well water (and once i had too much salt, everything dominoed from there).
