Yay! I reached my goal for July and my initial goal weight ... which means I am no longer overweight :happy: I now have a healthy BMI!
For once I am looking forward to my next doctors visit and NOT hearing the speech about needing to lose weight because of my BMI (although knowing my doctor she will still tell me that it is a bit on the high side of healthy and as I am still carrying weight around my tummy that I should probably lose some more weight BUT she will not be able to say I am overweight which she has been saying to me for the last 10 years or so :laugh: ).
Although I am at my initial goal weight, my BF% is still fairly high so I am going to focus on reducing this over the next few months!
I read the following post with interest over the weekend : http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 and decided to give it a go!
So I did the numbers (daily calorie goal is now 1500 - and that's with a 20% deficit ) and I changed my macro ratios to 40/30/30. I am struggling with the macros at the moment but I am hoping this will get easier over time once I get used to the new way of thinking diet wise.
I have decided not to weigh myself again until the end of the month just to give my body sometime to adjust to the changes - chances are I will put up some weight initially because of the changes so I reckon staying away from the scales for a while will be better for me (probably a better chance of success that way as it will give me a chance to get used to the new way of thinking without getting discouraged because I am putting on weight).
So no weigh-in for me next week - but I will be back to post where I am at (hopefully still at 135lbs) by the end of the month.
