could some one tell me what the texture of overnight oatmeal is - soft like regular oatmeal, or a llittle crunchier like granola. i'm not a fan of cooked oatmeal (weird thing I know) but if it was a crunchier texture I;d try it.0

It's called: Go in the kitchen and look at what a serving of oats in your brand is, then look at what a serving of the greek yogurt you have is, then think of whatever else you want to mix in, and add that....
I actually DISlike when people go by other people's calorie counts. I don't want to see "Maple Walnut Overnight Oats" in the database, because who knows what brand of yogurt they used, or how much walnuts, etc.....
Enter the ingredients as you would eat them into your diary, then if you DON'T like the way it looks, DON'T make it, just delete it! Simple.

It's not crunchy, more chewy than anything. I don't like soggy anything but I do like Overnight Oats. You may want to try tossing some granola on top for crunch.0 -

No worries - I have been eating some variation of these now for about a month of breakfasts. On days when I run out of ingredients, I go through a process of grieving until I right the situation with a trip to the grocery. Once you find an O.O. recipe that suits your taste and caloric needs, you'll never go back.0 -

I do this, using a basic Scandinavian recipe.
50g oats
1 green apple, grated
soy milk, to cover
I just mix the above, refigerate overnight, then either eat it as is or sprinkle a little unrefined sugar or honey on top.0 -

what is your favorite variation?
I've been upping my calories lately, so I try to make a recipe that brings me around 500 cals for breakfast. But you can easily edit this recipe to make any total between 300 - 500 cals.
I make the basic recipe adapted for triple chocolate, banana and peanut butter oats, coming in just under 480 calories and it is so good I think about making it for maybe two meals a day.
Ingreds added to mason jar in this order:
1/3 cup chocolate almond milk (40 cals)
1 T unsweetened cocoa (10 cals)
1/4 cup old fashioned uncooked oats (75 cals)
1/4 fat free fage plain greek yogurt (33 cals)
1 T chia seeds (60 cals)
1 T ground flax seed (30 cals)
2 tsp honey (30 cals)
6 T chocolate PB2 (135 cals - because I like PB2)
Shake, then add:
1/2 banana, sliced, then stirred in (45 cals)
Chill overnight, and seriously consider setting your alarm earlier than normal to enjoy earlier than normal.
I make this for my wife (283ish calories total):
Ingreds added to mason jar in this order:
1/3 cup unsweetened coconut/almond milk blend (15 cals)
1/4 cup old fashioned uncooked oats (75 cals)
1/4 fat free fage plain greek yogurt (33 cals)
1 T chia seeds (60 cals)
2 tsp maple syrup (30 cals)
Shake, then add:
2/3 cup blueberries, or perhaps a bit less (60 cals)
Stir, then add a few extra blueberries to top (10 cals)0 -
