In the 21st century and the time of equality and men and women being able to perform the same tasks.....
I'm really surprised how many women here can't work a hinge (aka toilet seat), but we still let them vote
oi. you know if some of these people don't have the same sense of humor as you (and i) do you're going to get reamed for this comment. lmao
Lmao. I too do enjoy humerous inputs. (I do know how to work the toilet seat hinge though, constantly putting it down because its left up heehee. I am afraid pretty soon I will loose this fight though when my son gets older and potty trained, oh well.)
You won't lose the fight! My son is 6 and puts the seat down every time. He will make some girl very happy one day. Not only does he put the seat down on the toilet, he cleans his own room, puts away his own laundry, and loads the dishwasher... LOL
Oh man, I am sending my son to your house for training. Lol.0 -
Hmm..Where the heck should I start?!
He NEVER closes the cabinets..I can't figure out why that's so hard.
Rather than leaving the toilet seat up, he leaves it down and sprinkles on it. :grumble:
His clothes always end up in the living room, kitchen or bedroom floor..even though he has to walk through the laundry room to get to the bedroom.
He leaves his nasty socks rolled up or inside out so I get the pleasure of turning them right side out.
He doesn't check his pockets.
If he misses the trash, he doesn't both trying again. :explode:
He's constantly flipping through channels instead of watching just 1 thing. (Especially irritated when I'm trying to go to sleep!)
That's all I'll say for now. He's an awesome guy, but cleaning up after him sure itsn't much fun!0 -
LOL! I was going to post that, but you wrote exactly my thoughts. Isn't usually the guy waiting on the woman? Mine gets in the shower at the moment that he knows me and our four boys are packed and literally sitting in the mini van ready to drive off.0

I will be teaching him to wash clothes when he's a little older. This boy will be independent. My husband... is not. LOL When he went to training and was away for a month, he forgot how to use a washing machine. One of the single soldiers had to show him. LOL I have spoiled my husband. I am a stay at home mom (and I will admit... slightly OCD), so he has never really done any housework since the day we got married. I think he did laundry maybe twice, but he only did it because he wanted to get on my good side. AND he just threw it all together... and then called his stepmom to make sure it was going to be ok. haha!0 -
bites his silverware . . . that makes me want to smack him. I have food issues and sometimes have to leave the table when he's eating because I can't handle the sounds of sliverware biting and people chewing with their mouth open.0

BITES HIS NAILS!!!!0

I so needed to see this thread! I thought I was the only one and that everyone else had perfect partners.
Mine:
- Steps out of his pants, leaving the keys and phone in the pockets, and leaves the pants on the floor.
- Will send a " " or a "k" as a response to a text message
- Forgets birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays
In his defense:
- He's a good cook
- He walks the dog without being asked
- He always gets up from the computer to give me a hug and a kiss when I get home from work
- Apparently sings my praises, because everyone of his friends that I meet tells me all of the wonderful stories he's shared with them.0 -
He falls asleep when I drive...
It was worse when we were going someone and he was supposed to be map reading, but now we have a GPS for the car.
It just irritates me cos it's so boring on long journeys having no one to talk to. :laugh:0 -
@Marcillene it sounds like you have like 10x more issues than the rest. Maybe you need to move or its time to accept these flaws.
By going about my day, picking up after, putting the seat down, and cleaning up after withOUT *****ing to him is pretty well accepting to me. Doesn't mean it still doesn't drive me nuts. Hense the reason all these other girls have pet peeves but are still doing it too. Because we love em, and thats our life.
My husband tells me constantly he would rather have ME at ANY size (small or large) that is pleasant and does not complain versus a super model version of me that nags and complains all day. Fair enough. I keep my mouth closed... except for when I eat LOL0 -
is indecisive. WORST EVER!
If I get one more 'I dunno' , 'I don't care', or 'doesn't matter' I'll trip.0 -

Oh my gosh! Lol, bless his heart lol. About 4 months ago I taught my guy to use our washer/dryer. He now DOES laundry. But he will try to wash everything (darks/whites/towels doesnt matter, everything is together lol) and when is done drying, he pulls it out of the dryer and leaves it in a pile in front of the dryer.0 -
Last thing: he never has a friggin opinion on anything. Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to a blank wall. He's just never bothered by anything, the mellowest guy in the world. I just want to know what you're thinking sometimes!!!!
I will tell you: he's thinking nothing. My bf and I call this 'the Flatline'.
Daamn a female that finally gets it. Finally0 -
He doesn't unroll his dirty, stinky, sweaty socks so I have to do it when I do laundry.
He "forgets" to rinse out the sink after he shaves sometimes. Nothing pisses me off more than going into the bathroom & seeing hair all over the sink. Blah!
He drops his dirty clothes & dirty towels on the bathroom floor instead of throwing them in the hamper which is 3 feet away.
He slurps when he eats cereal. Drives me absolutely bonkers b/c it reminds me of a pig eating slop.
Other than those four things hes a purdy cool guy & I love him to pieces (even if he does annoy the fudge out of me sometimes).0 -
He takes forever to explain anything. I could say something in 10 words and it would take him atleast 200 lmao. He get's really focused on details .0

i don't live with my boyfriend, so my list probably isn't quite as long as it could be (that is, i don't have to deal with pee everywhere or the toilet seat. he's good with doing dishes and cleaning up after himself).
-he likes to fart when i'm rubbing his legs so it's right in my face.
-he doesn't trust me to drive when we go places, even though my car gets better milage and he's the one who's totaled his car once and fell asleep driving once whereas i have never been in an accident, because the one time i drove (from his school to his house for the very first time, and he didn't give me enough warning to make ANY turns without jerking the car suddenly), he commented that i drive like his youngest brother, who is my age. but i've gotten over this because i get to sleep if we're in the car for a long time late at night and i'm in control of the music 99% of the time.
-he is 22 years old and has a 2 am curfew plus we aren't allowed to spend the night together. he WILL NOT defy his parents or even ask if he can spend the night with me, even when i'm having a rough day or am freaking out because i have to spend the night alone.
-he likes to watch porn when i'm 10 feet away watching the baseball game because i think he's working on physics. hello? i'm right over here!0 -
My hubby, as wonderful as he is, is always late. Everywhere, anywhere. He will dawdle along until we have 20 minutes to be somewhere and then he gets ready.
You mean he allows 20 minutes? How did you get him to do that? Mine waits until we are due there, then gets ready. Oh, well. I knew that when I married him 24 years ago, so I can't really complain. We both have things that really bother the other, but we figure the good stuff outweighs the bad most of the time, so it works.0 -
My husband takes his socks off while laying on the couch. Not just his socks, but they are what annoys me because we end up with several pairs of socks scattered on the family room floor/couch if I don't pick them up or ask him to. Which he will, if I ask. But still...why can't you take them upstairs yourself without me asking? Grrrr...0
-
To start it off, here's a few of what MINE does.....
*He leaves the toilet seat UP!!
*When he opens a cupboard, he forgets how to shut it I guess!
*Flushes before he is done so OF COURSE theres pee in the toilet still.
Ready, Set, GO!!!
Is operating a toilet seat THAT hard for females?
the toilet thing for me, isn't abut how hard it is.. its how it looks, especially when you have company. Then you add dogs to situation... where do house dogs like to drink??? in my house the seat AND the lid go down .... that keeps it looking presentable, the dogs can't get a drink AND we both have to lift and lower something each time we use it.... as long as i don't make his toilet wear one of those nice lid covers, hes okay to follow this rule in our house.0 -
Mine also shares the - get home, strip down and leave everything everwhere. It really annoys me to heck & back! I hate hunting up socks and undershirts from everywhere.
Plus, all the stuff he empties from his pockets - EVERY SINGLE DAY - will end up in 3-5 different locations around the house and NEVER in the same place 2 times in a row. THEN.... he calls me in the morning asking where his crap is?!? Like I have any damn clue, .....
And this spills over into his BIGGEST peeve of all: he can never put ANYTHING away. Doesn't matter what it is, how long he used it, how important it is to him/me.... he will just LEAVE it where he finished using it.
Then ask me where I PUT IT or even get angry when I pick it up and put it away. (He leaves tools out and I hate stepping on a hammer in the dead of night - so I put it away. 5 days latter he tears the house apart looking for the hammer, calls me angry as a wet cat.... and I just tell him "where do the tools live?" and hang up. OMG.... one of these days, one of these damn days!)0 -
Farts too much!0
-
This is disgusting.0
-
I cannot think of anything besides his driving, I always think I am gonna die. But besides that he is amazing!0
-
Smoking, and lying to me about doing it. Such as using money given to him for gas partially for smokes. :grumble:0
-
I really can't think of many to be honest.... with the exception of the MOTHERF*CKIN' WHISKERS ON THE SINK!!!!!! :explode:
(I'm fairly certain that his list would be longer.)0 -
Snoaring and using my leg razor for his beard  apart from that he is perfect!0
-
Really??? What is with the early flush thing???? I asked mine this weekend why he does that...he had no idea! Crazy0
-
1.Only cleans up after himself.... I can make dinner for a family of 4 but he only puts his own plate away.
2. Does not put laundry away (I wash it , fold it, and put it in the right rooms....the last step is too hard)
3. Leaves his sweaty gym clothes all stuck together and balled up -- NASTY!!!... even nastier when it sits there waiting for laundry day
4. has to go to sleep with the tv on
5. Makes observations but doesnt do anything about them " wow, the bathroom is really dirty"... or "baby is fussy, i think she needs to be fed her cereal" DUH0 -
My wife always looks awesome and it makes it hard to concentrate on what I should be doing. *Shakes fist* "Damn you, you incredibly beautiful woman."
Now this is sweet. I'm going to pass this one along to my hubby.0 -
when he comes home at night, he leaves ALL his stuff on the countertop! I simply hate that. I move it and he says later, where did you put my stuff. I say off the counter where it belongs!0
-
My man likes to be a last minute person... DRIVES me nuts! If we're trying to plan somewhere to go just me and him and we need to find a sitter, I kindly ask him to call around the family and see who's available and he responded, 'sure'. Then the day of our date night, he decides to tell me, 'Oh, I forgot to...' REALLY?! Then it totally ruins our plans... ARGH! Lol0
