I've gotten Eskimo, Asian, Mexican, Puerto Rican, and Greek. I'm actually a mix of Italian and something else. My mother's adopted from french Canada, and I never knew my father (but he was Italian heritage I believe) so it's hard to pinpoint exactly what I am.

Just about every west indian race....i am AMERICAN.

Ditto to that. Also I'm asked a lot if I'm mixed with white and/or hispanic. Even the Domincans who do my hair, said I look like I could be from their country. This is a constant source of entertainment to me. I suppose it's due to the fact that my hair is long. *shrugs* Whatever, I take no offense. I am proudly Black American. My ethnic heritage is African but I don't say I'm African-American because I have never been to Africa, and I'm fourth generation American. Africa doesn't claim me.. so I don't claim them. *just saying

What annoys me are the people of African heritage that are offended by being called Black (Tiger Woods is one). Maybe because of the bad rep or ridiculous stereotypes. NEWSFLASH: Although you may be some other nationality (Caribbean, Bermudan etc.), ethnically you ARE Black, and this is okay. Black is beautiful.

I AM ITALLIAN, NATIVE AMERICAN, WELSCH AND GERMAN. MOSTLY ITALLIAN AND PEOPLE SPEAK SPANISH TO ME SOMETIMES AND OTHERS ASSUME I'M A "WHITE GIRL"
I DON'T THINK I'M A "WHITE" GIRL BUT I CHECK THE CAUCASIAN BOX BECAUSE I'M NOT ENOUGH NATIVE AMERICAN TO REALLY CLAIM IT AS MY PRIMARY MAKEUP LOL.

Ghanaian. I am African-American, as in descended from black slaves . Women from Ghana are stunning IMHO (beatiful almond shaped eyes).
  • I'm African-American. I sometimes get "am I hispanic or creole or native american". My dad was part was caucasian. He used to get it all.....

Not me, but I was out with my mom once and the cashier noticed her accent and asked, "Are you from New Zealand?" She smiled and said, "South Africa," and he just shrugged and said - with a straight face - "Same difference."

    Uhm... Rude.

    We still laugh about it.

My mother's side is English. My dad is from Romania but he's Saxon/German.

I've been mistaking for Chinese because I have dark hair and eyes. :S
I've also been mistaken for Jewish because my last name is German but also a lot of Jewish people have my last name as well.

I usually just get the question. "What nationality/ethnicity are you?"

My Father is French & Scottish, he was born in Mexico.
My mother is Argentinian, & German, born in the USA

I have brown hair/brown eyes, my sister has blond hair/blue eyes.

Nobody thought I was actually a graduate student because I'm white.
