Just completed week 1...
...and I'm super impressed at how quickly bodies can adjust! On day 1 I was super out of breath and power-walked the last 2 jogs rather than jogging. Now just completed day 3, did the jogging sections at a slightly faster pace, completed them all and wasn't out of breath! I'm so excited to start week 2 now :D When I did…

Over a mile....in one go!
I'm in middle of W3. I did D1 yesterday, but today, I just wanted to run. So I did. I ended up running over a mile (15 minutes) without stopping, and without being overly tired/winded. NO words to describe how freakin' awesome it felt!! Back to W3D2 tomorrow. :)

Finished C25K (or rather C2 30mins)
Finished the program on 19th September. Definitely recommend it to everyone it was very good at getting me from never doing running to running for 30minutes. I however don;t think I ran 5km and probably more like 4-4.5 in the 30 mins. Have registered for a 5km city to surf run in 1 weeks time.. should be interesting.

Pain
I was suppose to do week 2 workout 3 today but after my warm-up when I went to start jogging the inner part of my knees and right below them started hurting every time my foot hit the pavement. Both sides. So I just walked. But the pain was still there while I walked just not as bad as when I jogged. Does anyone know what…

I love my shoes!
I just scored a pair of Asics Gel Nimbus for $99! Love Love Love them! They feel like a pair of shoes hugging my feet. I can't wait until tomorrow morning to break them in. Thanks to C25K for getting me off my bum and running again!

Thinking Of Starting C25k
Right now I mostly walk but I was out jogging earlier today and even if it was tough, I loved how it made me feel and I always hear everyone talking about Couch to 5k. I plan to start next week. I'm in serious need of a good sports bra and some new shoes. Ordered the bra online today and I'm going to get some shoes in the…

I know that the speed varies for everyone but I just wanted to know the pace everyone runs/walks at i love treadmill running so i can focus on pace, and walk at level 6 and run at 7.5 does anyone else know their stats to compare with? its been suggested to me that I should run slower the first time i complete the program…

Starting C25k Monday
I am starting my C25k program monday and am really nervous. I am NOT a runner but I am trying to lose weight FAST! I am post-baby and in the military and need to get this done! How much weight can I look to be losing? How can I keep myself motivated to keep up?

Week 7, day 1, FAIL
Crap. :grumble: Just couldn't do the full 25 minutes today. I had to take walking breaks at 10 and 15 minutes. My lower leg muscles were just screaming, front and back, and I did my usual stretching beforehand (but maybe it's still not enough? ). I'm not sure if it's because of the time of day (noon-thirty instead of my…

I cant believe I'm doing it!!
Completed week 4 day 2 last night and halfway round I thought "I'm doing to die - I must walk" then suddenly I thought of all you wonderful people in this group and I kept going! Even running the last 2minutes UP HILL!! (Which reminds me I need to plan a new route...that was not fun! lol.) I love this program - I cant…

How soon did you run your first 'official' 5k?
Hi everyone, I've just restarted C25k for what feels like the 100th time and I'm determined not to let anything get in the way of me completing it this time (the furthest I've ever got was Week 5). So I thought it would be a good idea to sign up for an official race to keep me motivated and on track. I've found one…

Week3 Day1
I had just finished W2D3 when I came down with bronchitis. Knocked me off my feet for a full week! Even while running a fever, I felt horrible that I was missing my runs. I waited until this morning (9 days later) to start back up. I thought I may have to repeat W2 since I hadn't done anything at all for over a week, but I…

running while sick
I have had a miserable cold all week with aches and pains. I've missed two runs toug I may have been able to run for a sort time at a slower pace. My question is is it better to take a few days off when fighting a minor illness and feelig run down or is it better to continue with some activity as I am able... I don't want…

Chicken Run
So I finished W3D2 yesterday...boy did it suck!!! W3D1 was a breeze as was most of the other days up to this point. The difference? I had four chicken supremes rattling around in my belly. The weather here was horrible yesterday with a 100% chance of rain so I had pretty much gave up hope on getting to run, so I ate…

Wow!
I just completed W1D1 and it's harder than I thought. I mean, I go on the treadmill 3-6 times a week anyway, but I usually just do power-walking on it. I did it at a lower speed than I usually do and it was only small jogs, but it was such a workout! Disappointed at my lack of fitness, but super excited to be a part of a…

First official run:)
Today I ran in the Terry Fox Run in my community. I started c25k July 1st. I am super excited that I have my first race under my belt, I am in another 5k in October:). Never would have thought I would wake up early on a Sunday to run!!

anyone else find treadmill harder than outside??
I started C25K August 1st--doing it every other day and today I started Week 9 Day 1. TODAY is the first day since August 1st that the weather has not permitted me to run outside. I had to use my treadmill. It was pure torture--I found I couldn't even keep up at the pace I normally run outdoors and ran much slower--is that…

Ran my first 5k!
I was soooo nervous about running my first 5k this past weekend since I have only finished Week 3 day 2 of C25K. Well, I did it, and I finished under my goal! My goal was to finish under 40 min and I did! I'm still waiting for the final numbers to be emailed to me, but I am so happy. I was able to run almost 1 full mile…

Any of you take a week off and still finish?
I am so pissed. I was doing so good. Finished week 4 on Thursday. I even took a full minute off my pace. The weather was great, I was feeling great and guess I pushed it too far. Yesterday, Friday, my hip starting hurting. Today it hurts more when I put my full weight on my left leg. So I need to rest a few days. Maybe a…

outside and timing
I would like to start running outside but rely to much on my treadmills timer. I don't want to be staring at my wrist all the time and lose good form. And trust me I stare at the timer just waiting for the moment I can walk!! So for those of you that do run outside what do you use to time yourself?

Ran my first 5K today!
I'm not quite finished C25K app workout program but I did an organized 5K run today (the Terry Fox run for cancer). I struggled a bit but I made it through. I will finish the app workouts this week or next and officially graduate. I have another run scheduled for Sept 30th so hopefully I will be graduated by then. I feel…

Registered for my first 5k
This morning I registered for the Susan G Komen Race fo the Cure 5k. The race is October 20th. This will be week 7 in the C25k training program, assuming we don't need to repeat a week. I registered for the option with a timing chip & a number. Even if I need to walk a bit in the middle it will be a great official gauge of…
