You're setting yourself up for serious injury. You need to lift with your legs, because not doing so you put yourself at serious risk for pulling muscles in your back and ending up incapacitated. When you deadlift, you should get as low as possible and tighten your back muscles so they remain straight and engaged. You'll…

So, I feel your pain. I'm in grad school and it's insane. Not sure if your university offers meal exchanges at the restaurants on campus (i.e. we can use a meal swipe at the sandwich place across the street instead of going to the cafeteria). If the cafeteria is your only option, most universities make nutritional…

Worked two summers at the only public pool in my area. It catered to three inner-city regions. (1) We shut down 1-2 pools per day due to feces. Or vomit. I saw an adult poop in a pool once. One lady started her period in the pool. They didn't close it. I had to approach her and tell her. It was super embarrassing to tell…

Shoes to prevent injuries. :) Also you don't want to get new shoes right before a race...you need to break them in. Otherwise you will be super uncomfortable.

Bump for ideas! I'm doing the same thing (training for 10k and balancing a lifting program). Good luck in your venture!

I had three out at one time, as well...all three impacted, un-erupted. (The fourth I had out in an earlier jaw surgery it was so seriously impacted). I slept for three days. My fiance just got his out a month ago. He lived off of Ensure with protein, applesauce, jello and soup. :) Get Ensure complete :) And don't work out…

I eat all the food. And I've lost >30 pounds. Shoot, sometimes it's just nice to refuel. :P

The people who take the electric carts around Walmart because they're lazy. But they'll get up and walk to grab the twinkies. But try and run you over in the aisle! I understand some people legitimately need them. But where I live, trust me, the people that use them don't need them. o.O I also get really bad road rage. I…

YES! When my fiancé says his stomach is upset, I go in to a panic and flirt with an anxiety attack. Worst thing ever.

Vomiting. I'd rather writhe in pain and have a panic attack than vomit. o.O

I block out 2 hours 7 days/week. I rarely utilize the entire time...but I have two hours worked in to my schedule for wiggle room :)

Thanks, you all! :) I appreciate the input! I'll definitely be looking in to adding some variations in to my deadlift routine to assist in grip strength :)

Maybe see a chiropractor. I have terrible tendonitis, so my joints get funky if I don't go every few weeks and it prevents me from working out. Mine helps my knees, hips, and shoulders. :)

Tea O:) I DRINK ALL THE TEAAAA.

A bunch of people in my city didn't know there's a labrodoodle who is shaved to look like a lion (my university's mascot is a lion). He frequently runs around campus with his owner without a leash. 9-11 got a bunch of calls about a lion running around. :P Made national news...…

My go to lunch: - Whole grain sandwich thin with turkey, dijon mustard, baby spinach, tomato - 100 g baby carrots - 150 g grapes - 100 cal chocolate dusted almonds :) yum! :D Also tuna! With low cal mayo and sugar free relish!
-
I keep 100 cal packs of chocolate dusted almonds in my cabinet...and in my purse...and in my lunchbox. Kills the chocolate craving. :)

In for the funny gifs...

HRMs are only really accurate for steady state aerobic exercise and you won't get an accurate reading. My best suggestions are either 1. Get a FitBit or similar device and wear it all the time to figure out how many calories you burn. (I have a Zip and it's awesome...syncs right with MFP!) 2. Go to a local gym or doctor…

Multivitamin >.< I don't get enough natural potassium :(

Before my fiancee showed my proper lifting technique I was intimidated to lift with the big boys. Now I lift more than half of them. And smirk as I rub it in their faces. ;) I think it's a lot about self confidence. I didn't have any.

I'd been "trying" to lose weight to no avail. Then I saw this picture. And it kicked my butt in to gear. I'd never thought I was on the "heavy" side. I was in denial about my jeans not fitting...and refused to wash them because my size 10's had stretched to really be a size 12...and I was still plagued with a nasty…
