  • Me too! The very first place I lost was in my boobs! I kinda want them back!
  • I'm surprised nobody has said deadlifts yet. I have been spinning for 3 years and recommend it because it is a good workout and tons of fun, but I never saw results in my butt from spinning like I have in the last 6 months of adding in deadlifts!
  • 6 days/week. 4 days of bootcamp (3 lifting, 1 conditioning) and 2 days of spinning and/or running.
  • 8oz. hummus chicken, 3oz broccoli - only about 300 calories, and a whopping 44g of protein!
  • I started working out alone and then moved to a personal trainer after about 6 months. I was assigned a female trainer at first from LA Fitness and we really didn't 'click'. She just kinda followed me around while I used machines. My second trainer was a body builder and he really helped me and my husband learn the basic…
  • I don't really care for mayo, so I use avocado in place of it often - on a turkey sandwich, burger, multi-grain bread with salt/pepper, mixed with tuna, salsa to go with fish etc... I love it!! This sounds fantastic!! If I had a ripe avocado at home now I'd be making this for dinner!
  • Chicken, fish of all kinds, turkey, eggs, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, the occasional Quest bar and powder after a workout.
  • My HR monitor gives me approximately a 350-400 calorie burn for an hour of lifting. I usually only add back 100-150 on MFP.
  • I really like the Danskin' capris from WalMart. They're less than $15/ea and I have some that have lasted more than 2 years. For bras, I like Old Navy or Target. I have a few from each and they're all great as long as you get the right support level for your activity.
  • Subway is usually my go-to as well. I love their double chicken chopped salad (no dressing). I also like the local sandwich shop for salads - their Greek and Cobb salads are delicious!
  • Just giving this a quick look - I'd probably do a cup of the tortilla soup and the grilled chicken cobb salad with no dressing or the light balsamic. That'll put you right around 800cal. No matter what you choose, everything there is going to be high in sodium. Drink lots of water and enjoy your night!
  • My husband has a casein allergy and we've been a dairy-free house for nearly 10 years. There are lots of great substitutes out there these days. Tofutti brand sour cream and cream cheese are both excellent! I will use the sour cream in place of yogurt in recipes and on things like tacos/baked potatoes! I also make an…
  • M/W/F - I'm up at 5. Leave the house by 5:20 to get to the gym in time to warm up and do the 6am bootcamp class. Bootcamp ends at 7. I shower at the gym and get to work a little before 8. Tues/Sun - rest day, up at 6 to do normal getting ready stuff. Thurs - Up at 6, but I'll go to spin class after work from 5:45-6:45pm…
  • My husband uses the GNC egg white protein (vanilla ice cream flavor). I've had to use it a few times when I run out of whey - it's quite good!
  • Mine too! In the summer when zucchini is in season I'll steam it in parchment pouches with veg, lemon, salt and pepper.
  • French fries. Not just any frozen fries though - really good, fresh, hand-cut fries. Sometimes if I'm feeling cheeky I'll top 'em with cajun salt or herbs/parmesan. **Drool** I refuse to swap my fries for zucchini or something else ridiculous, so I just eat less.
  • I agree that the ham likely doesn't have 2,000, but the shake totally could have 190. It's probably not a glitch in MFP - just someone putting in the wrong numbers. If you know the right ones (or have the time to go to the Boar's Head site for nutritional info), mark the entry as incorrect and put in the right numbers.
  • About 2 years ago my MD did a blood test and found that I was deficient in many vitamins (B6, B12, A, D), so I take those every day. My subsequent blood tests have been fantastic!
  • Egg salad & bacon on an english muffin (and a dark chocolate protein shake)
  • Being dairy-free isn't nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. My husband found out 8 years ago he can't have casein (protein found in dairy). We drink soy or almond milk, use Tofutti brand sour cream (it's really good) and whenever he is craving mac & cheese or alfredo I'll make cashew cream sauce and mix in some…
  • I'm at 1400 (I'll add in a little for exercise) - feel free to send me a friend request.
  • Same here - I love Danskin! They have both shiny and non-shiny as well as capri length and full length. I have some from nearly 2 years ago that are still in great shape. Plus, you can get 'em at Walmart for under $15!!
  • What RWC said - pick a day and a time and stick to it. I weigh daily, so I do it every morning after using the bathroom. But, when I weighed weekly it was Friday morning. No rhyme or reason to it (maybe I subconsciously didn't want to count any weekend binges - haha).
  • I always had an issue with my toes going numb when using the cages, so I broke down and got a pair of cycle shoes. BEST INVESTMENT EVER! Mine are Pearl Izumi brand ($70-110 on Amazon), and I've had them for nearly 3 years with no issues at all. You'll feel the difference immediately! I found muscles I didn't even know I…
  • Our local place has a healthy section on the menu that has steamed chicken/shrimp/veggies and everything comes with sauce on the side so you can just add a little. That's usually what I end up doing if we go for Chinese food.
  • I nearly cried this morning in the car when I heard he passed away! He was so brilliant in everything he did (Harry Potter and Love Actually being my two favorites).
  • Ugh, the snow plow snow at the end of the driveway is the WORST! Just when you think you're done...nope...here comes the plow again!
  • I was the same way! Growing up I hated the stuff but after looking at the macros, I decided to give it a try again. I can't say I love it yet, but I can tolerate the one with chives. I can't do the sweet ones, but the savory are good and good for you!
  • I definitely have that problem (especially after working at a food bank for 3+ years)! I feel awful throwing away food, but still have to do it every once in a while. I try my best to make my meal plan for the week around what we have to use in the fridge and freeze those things that I know we won't get around to eating. I…
  • Last night was broiled tilapia, zucchini and a sweet potato with butter. Tonight will be baked chicken thighs, some leftover fried rice and veggies.
