Has anyone been to Yellowstone?
My family and I are going this summer, and we're planning things to do and stuff. Any suggestions/tips?

Progress Report
Reading these from other people helps me, so I'm going to start a progress report of my reverse diet. Started thinking about this about 2 weeks before Easter, when I was eating about 1500 calories a day, but with an estimated TDEE of at least 2300, losing less than .5 lb/week. Jumped to 1750 and then 2000 during the week…

How to improve HR accuracy?
So I just got the charge HR to replace my dead zip. I did my usual workout this morning (a combination step and strength class), which is pretty grueling, and it stated that I only burned 350 calories during the hour. This is the same number I burned in a pretty easy zumba class last week. Is that right? It doesn't seem…

Zip stopped working
My zip stopped working a few days ago when I changed the battery. I'm sure there's nothing I can do about it (I got the Charge HR to replace it) but does anyone have any ideas or experienced a similar issue?

Zip to Charge HR?
I'm considering getting the Charge HR, I currently own the zip. I have a couple questions: Can I still use my zip when I don't want to wear something on my wrist (for example, when dressed up for a wedding or something) Will the charge be as accurate as the zip if I don't swing my arms? I love the accuracy of the zip being…

I need help estimating my activity level
I decided I should up my calories, eating at 1600 just isn't enough, but I'm not sure what to up them to. My fitbit says I'm burning about 2200-2300 calories per day, but I wonder if it's right. I do a very intense step and weights class 3 days per week, and a pure step 1 time a week. HR is often between 160-200 during…

Supersets
So I’ve just started a 3 day lifting plan (done 5 days so far and I really like it!) and I was wondering about superseting ab exercises in to maximize my time. However, most ab stuff I know how to do involves getting on the floor, which is awkward in the weight area, or using a kettlebell or other weight, which I don’t…

Adding Stronglifts?
I was thinking about adding Stronglifts to my routine. This is my current routine: Mon: Step and strength (50% intense step aerobics, 40% high rep lifting or body weight exercise, 10% stretching) Tues: Rest (could lift here) Wed: Step and strength Thurs: Step and strength Fri: Rest (could lift here) Sat: Pure step Sun:…

Greeting Newbies?
I go to a pretty intense step and strength class most days. Its pretty tough, the choreography in any step class can be hard the first few times, and this one isn't easy in the aerobic department either. Is it ok/appropriate to go up to newbies after class and tell them to keep up the hard work, and that it was hard for me…

What to get at the Cheesecake Factory
Going to lunch tomorrow at the cheesecake factory, trying to decide if I should get one of the lettuce wrap tacos or the ahi carpaccio. Are either of those enough for a whole meal? What do you recommend there?
-
Jogging with fitbit?
Ok, maybe this is a dumb question but I'm going to ask it anyway. I just got the zip. If I log my jog and what time it was at/how long, does the fitbit take that into account? Or does it count it twice?

Supplements?
Are supplements like BCAA and pre workout drinks (like NO explode) worth it when trying to gain/keep muscle at a caloric deficit? Or even just to give a workout boost on those blah days?

Please help with my weight stall!
Provide your stats (height/weight/age/bodyfat% if you know it/etc) 64 inches, 139 pounds, 24 years old. 23% with upper body handheld measure, 33% with lower body scale. So I'm guessing somewhere in the middle of those two What's your current gross intake of calories, on average? ~1750 in the last 2 weeks. 1900 before that.…

Challenge 4!
60 second wall sit every day! My least favorite thing :( I can only do 45 seconds at a time now, hoping to improve!
-
Challenge 2!
Daily 1 minute plank! If you miss a day, you can make it up the next day, or go all out and do all 7 in a row! Choose your difficulty: knees and elbows, toes and elbows, toes and hands (or clenched fists if that hurst your wrist) If you have to split it up into two 30 second segments, thats fine, just do it :)
-
Challenge 3!
Sorry I didn't post this until late, I was on vacation and just got back! Lets do a standing challenge this week, how about 60 jumping jacks a day (so for 1-3 minutes, depending on your speed!)

Helpful Apps!
I've discovered some apps recently that have helped me with my goals! I thought I'd share them, and see if anyone else had apps they would like to recommend! Weight Trend (Free!) - this app takes your daily weight and makes a graph with a line of best fit (which is like an average). Sometimes it's easy to get lost in the…

People with <15 pounds to lose?
Is there a group (maybe a small, active one) of people with a little weight to lose? It's so hard to navigate the groups to find what I'm looking for! I feel like I see posts all the time for losing 5 lbs this month or 100+ to lose, but thats not where my goals are! :drinker:

Challenge 1!
So I figure we should do challenges that are non weight based, since it is so hard to have any predictability, especially for those of us without much to lose. So physical challenges make more sense. First challenge: Do 100 push ups this week. We will start this week on Sunday, June 22, ends the following Saturday. If 100…

Fitness Goals
What are your fitness goals? I'm trying to do cardio 4 days a week, weight lifting 3 times a week, and pilates 3 times a week. And get my fitbit over 10,000 steps a day!

Calories aren't all equal!
So yesterday and today I had the same number of calories for lunch (about 550-600). Yesterday I had a frozen lunch with lots of rice, very high in simple carbs, and a handful of grapes. Today I had a large chicken salad (with homemade sesame dressing, so good!) with lots of veggies and goat cheese and almonds... And a hard…

Helping my Father
My mother recently passed away, and I am worried about my father being home alone. I was thinking a food delivery service would be helpful for him, and give him one less thing to be concerned about. Does anyone have any suggestions for programs in the Chicago area? I want something that is more fresh and healthy and has…

Feeling discouraged...
I have been eating right and exercising since January and haven't lost a pound. I'm obviously doing something wrong, can someone help me figure out what that is? My diary is open. I've been carb and calorie cycling, so yesterday (Sunday) I went over on calories on purpose because I was under the two days before, and will…

200 calories left
Today I have 200 calories left on my journal, but I can't possibly eat anymore. This happened yesterday too, and I ate something and then couldn't sleep because I was too full! Is it ok to not eat them? You are welcome to look at my diary if you want

Kinda gross stomach problem
So Sunday night I had what I thought was food poisoning. I threw up about 10 times, the last time only bile. The next day I was sore, shaky, and had a fever, and didn't feel like eating (of course). Now, on Thursday, I feel fine but I still can't eat! My stomach still feels like its full of bile, so I'm never hungry and…

Tonights Biggest Loser
Tonight on the Biggest Loser, they brought up talking to friends about their weight/nutrition/fitness. I always thought that you shouldn't bring it up, although you should support friends if they bring it up. What does everyone else think?

Diary Accountability Buddies!
Would anyone like to monitor each others diaries to keep each other on track? I know that knowing someone will look at mine will keep me more accountable :)
