This is an unusual request
Today I'm going to be helping unload pumpkins from a truck for a pumpkin patch. It takes a couple hours of lifting, bending, carrying pumpkins. How do you think i should log that?

I have a fitbit and its synced with mfp for steps. I'm wondering, when i do a workout like zumba or cize, i usually don't record it, just use the step count. But im wondering if i should. Does that even make sense?

whey protein help? (not a repeat topic, i searched!)
i know you looked at the title of the thread and said, "really? haven't we talked this to death?" but i searched topics and didn't find what i needed. I'm attempting (ha.) to adapt myself to a lower carb lifestyle. I'm hypoglycemic, and i had a lot of sugar crashes this summer and really struggled. so i found a plan that i…

i'm frustrated with myself...
I always seem to be in the mindset that i'm trying to get back on track. either my track is only a day or two, or i just get distracted and find another path. (oohh shiney!) i've put on 8 pounds in the past year from my low of 165, and apparantly i'm just not being consistent enough to get it back off. I'm mostly venting.…

can anyone help me with spider bite experience?
ok, i was bit sometime sunday night or monday morning, presumably from a brown recluse. I'm on massive doses of prednisone (which makes me ravenous ALL the time.) and antibiotics with benedryl and pain pills as needed. my questions is, does anyone know how long it will take to heal? i'm still feeling really fuzzy and…

erg.
so, i was sick for a full two weeks and thankfully only gained a bit less than a pound. however, when i did my bady fat thingy at the y tonight, it said 29.9. i'm really not amused; this is completely unacceptable. i'm also on the bubble of being overweight again and that MAY NOT HAPPEN, do you hear me? MAY NOT HAPPEN!! so…

how do i know when it's safe?
To start excercising after being sick? if i wait until the cough is totally gone, it might be june, and i'm really not willing to wait that long. just when i feel like it again? cause i'm pretty stupid when it comes to waiting long enough. any ideas, things to look for? (jeez, my mom's a nurse, you'd think i'd be smarter…

GAH!! what is wrong with me?
i have no motivation to get up and work out! i feel so much better when i do, and i know i do. but when that alarm goes off at 5, i just turn it off. and then i'm totally mad at myself the rest of the day. i did go home at lunch and workout today, but i've got to figure out how to get my butt out of bed in the morning.

i need a workout buddy
Actually what i need is someone to kick my azz a lot. i have a hard time staying consistant and staying on track. my husband, wonderful as he is, isn't great about applying the needed pressure and consistancy. the person to buddy up with me needs to be able to be tough with me. i have severe ADHD and i get distracted…

ya know what really ticks me off? (vent)
i KNOW what i'm supoosed to be doing. i KNOW how to eat right, I know how to exercise. why then must i keep reinventing my own damn wheel?? why do i totally fall off my plan and then take forEVER to climb back on the daggum wagon? this is especially worrisome to me as i have Meniere's disease and too much sodium coupled…

please help!
I usually just search for my answer, but i don't know what i would look for. I have been an avid exerciser for two and a half years. I've been unable to work out for a month due to school. tonight, i tried Turbojam for the first time, but i was only able to go about 7 minutes! is it possible that i've lost all my hard work…

end of the semester! woohoo need a little get back on track
ok, this has been an absolutely crazy semester both academically (18 hours, 2 kids, 2 jobs, 2 dogs...) and in my personal/family life. I've unfortunately had to completely drop my exercise and my diet has turned to stress eating JUNK for about a month. So i'm almost done, just a couple more papers to finish. I'm hopping…

4 for 5 challenge *always open* week of Jan 4 week 2
Ok, this is a thread I was part of on My food diary a couple of years back. I can't pay for mfd right now, and I like mfp, so I thought I'd start it here. Here's the deal: there are five goals: 1. log all food and drink 2. stay within calories 3. exercise 30 minutes 4. drink your water 5. do something for your mind. this…

I have GOT to get back on track. school is making things really challenging, and I had a nasty cold for more than a week. so I am back on track, worked out last night after a walk to the park. today i am once again logging my food, and it's warm enough to start jogging at lunch without an…

ok, I'm wondering...
My schedule is beyond crazy (i could tell you but you wouldn't believe me) and it's entirely possible that i miss a day or two a week of working out which totally bums me. I know, (thanks Boss!) that i shouldn't double up my weights workout, just start back on the next day. But on the cardio side of things, is it a bad…

need running help
I've been running for a little less than a year. When I started, i started slow, like you're supposed to. many times i struggled with just running two minutes or three minutes at a time. Thankfully, i'm past that hurdle, but now I have a new one. When i'm on the treadmill, i can run 20-25 minutes usually at a 1% incline…

Although i think the wii fit wants to weigh me before it will let me play. i've worked out really really hard for two weeks and logged everything. i weighed this morning, not down even a pound. body fat was the same as well. so, i'm just done with the numbers. I had to increase my weight on a…

question for ladies only!

I know in theory it helps cramps, but i have zero energy and just don't feel great in general. any thoughts? yesterday was the first day, and i thought i was going to vomit the whole time i was running, it was so horrible. any input is appreciated.

ok, i'm taking a deep breath...
I'm thinking this is normal, but i'd like some feedback. I've significantly upped the intensity and duration of my workouts in the past two weeks. I had backed off my weights a bit during finals. I got back on track over the break. Then over the past just two days or so i increased my weights and reps (on a trainers…
