Arm Exercises
Ok, so, I love Jillian. However, I am getting married in 6 weeks, well 6 weeks on Saturday and want to tone up my arms especially so I don't have manky bingo wings in my gorgeous dress. I'm looking for arm exercises to do in addition to the shred to tone up my arms and build up muscles especially the bottom of my upper arm…

30 Day Shred starting Monday 23rd Jan
Hi everyone! Last time I did the 30DS I lost inches and lbs like crazy. I'm wanting to do it again but have had three false starts so I am setting Monday as the day to start and carry it all the way through the 30 Days. Anyone fancy doing it with me to keep each other motivated? I would start earlier but this weekend is my…

Week 1 complete!
Well, I still need to do the shred for the day but here we are the first 7 days done! How's everyone feeling about it? I feel like I'm def getting stronger and my endurance is going way up. The only thing still is how sore my calves get in the first round of cardio - jumpring jacks then jump rope - ouch!!

Favourite arm and shoulder exercises
Ok, so, I am doing lots of cardio and circuit training but I'm wondering which arm and shoulder exercises people have had success with? Before people start piping up about not being able to spot reduce fat I know that, that's why I'm doing cardio and circuit training I just want to tone up my arms and shoulders as well.

Monday 23rd First check in
Okay peeps, if you want to then use this topic to put your starting weight and measurements. Last time I did the shred I measured my hips, waist, thigh, arm and chest. Even if you don't want to make your measurements public knowledge (Lord knows mine are something to be blushed at) you should def still take them so you can…

30 Day Shred suggested plan
Ok, so the plan is for everyone to post a before pic (if we feel brave enough) and their weight and waist, hip, arm and thigh measurements (again, only if you feel brave enough but definitely make sure you take the measurements). I plan to do the shred every day doing 10 days level 1, 10 days level 2 and 10 days level 3.…

Natalie
Ok, so, hands up who noticed that Natalie cheats half way through one of the moves by only doing the arms? Naughty naughty! It makes me feel so much happier knowing she's finding it tough too!

what can I do with ligament damaged knee?
Hi all! I dislocated my knee two weeks ago and still have ligament damage and need to be careful with my knee. It is sore to bend it too much or straighten it all the way. My question is, what cardio can I do to avoid putting pressure on my knee? I've been walking a little but very gently to not put pressure on it. All the…

Pedometer challenge!
OK, so today is my first day of wearing my pedometer and I was wondering if anyone was interested in taking part in a pedometer challenge. I am hoping to hit at least 7000 steps a day. That's pretty good considering my job is administrative so I sit behind a desk all day. Anyone in??

Tae Bo
Hi peeps, So people seem to be raving about tae bo and what a good burn it is. I'm thinking of getting a dvd to try at home. So, what I want to know is a) what do people think of tae bo? b) is it difficult if you're not the most co-ordinated person in the world? c) which dvd should i get as a beginner? Thanks for any…

Freaking out!!!
I am freaking out because a stupid workman in my flat broke my scales so I have had to buy new ones today. I bought the new scales, fine, sneakily tried them at work and it could well be the difference in floor surface or whatever but they are weighing me 20lbs higher than my last weigh in at home. I know the ones that are…

Jillian Michaels
Ok, so, I have gotten amazing results so far with the 30 day shred and have now developed a total girl crush on Jillian Michaels! I'm finishing up the 30 Day Shred on Saturday and am starting 6 week 6 pack on Monday. As a treat for doing so well with the 30DS I have bought myself no more trouble zones, 6 week 6 pack and…

My first NSV!!!
Ok, so, I have been doing the 30 day shred, walking and doing strength training and trying to eat well (failing sometimes but, hey). The scales and measuring tape say I've been doing well but I've not been able to see it until just now. I was walking past the mirror in my bedroom wearing just jogging bottoms and a black…

Negative feelings
Hi everyone, In the past I have tried to lose weight but never been hugely successful. I've maybe lost a bit but then put it straight back on or just not stuck to anything. This time I am really focussing on lifestyle change rather than I must lose x amount of weight. I'm exercising daily and trying to be good with my…

Pennine Way
Hi everyone, Ok, so, my goal once I am down to my ideal weight is to walk the Pennine Way. It is something that I have wanted to do since we walked sections of it on walking holidays when I was younger with my family. The Pennine way is 268 miles from end to end and is the hills running up the centre of England - it is…

Sugar
Hi everyone, I'm pretty good at avoiding the sweets and cakes etc most of the time, but I am still way over on my sugar intake most days. The sugar is coming from fruit, cereal, milk etc. Should I be trying to avoid those types of food or should I keep on as I am even though I'm going over the sugar intake? Thanks! Kat x

knee pain
Hi everyone, Just a quick question. I'm getting some knee pain, nothing serious, just twinges. I think it is because I've gone from no exercise to doing the 30 day shred plus 40-60 minutes walking per day. Anyone got any advice on what I can do to ease the knee twinges?

Boredom eating
Hi all, I have been a bit rubbish at changing my eating habits so far. I have only just started eating breakfast since starting MFP (didn't have time for breakfast this morning though - oops) but I am still eating cr*p that is not good for you like crisps, biscuits etc. I also eat when I am bored and not hungry even though…

weight watcher scales
Ok, so, I bought some weight watcher scales that measure BMI, water % etc etc but I think they are waaaaaay sensitive. I bought them in my lunch hour so sneakily weighed myself at work and had lost 19lbs. However, that night when I got them home I weighed myself and I had only 16lbs according to the scales when they were…

wobbly stomach
Ok, so, here is my concern... I have been pretty good at the exercise malarky, I do an exercise tape in the morning before I go to work (yes, that's right, tape, like an audio cassette - it's a Jane Fonda one from the 70s and I looooooove it) and then walk to work. I'm starting the 30 day shred tonight to add to this. I…
