Saw the weather out in the mid west states this morning. Looks pretty nasty. I'll keep our version of nasty weather thank you. I feel for you guys getting plastered by the wet nasty snow.
Yeah, the temp dropped like 20 degrees during he 3 hrs sleep I got this morning...I was not prepared! I just hope I get home before any of that hits.0 -

On another note: the only wildlife I've encountered this week so far has been a fluffy bunny, but I have heard some suspicious rustling from time to time. My guess is mountain lions!
ETA: Walking is kinda the best thing for DOMS, imo.
I FINALLY get to start working out again tomorrow!!!!1 -

There is a vaccine. It needs to be given in a series of three shots to start out but age is important for the first shot. She gave the vaccine when the pups were too young. There is a window of being unprotected when after the first vaccine, you tie up the mothers antibody they got in the colostrum the first time they nursed, yet you haven't got a fully competent immune system yet. The younger you vaccinate, the more of the mothers antibody you tie up and the less competent the immune system is so the more unprotected the puppy is. They shouldn't be vaccinated until 8 weeks if they got good colostrum, 5 weeks if they got no colostrum. She vaccinated too young for the amount of colostrum they got. She just wanted to get the puppies out the door.
That is *kitten* puppy parenting.0 -
Well, we are back at it again. Fortunately, it's only going to be a 38 hour shift this weekend. I sometimes think I should have come a computer specialist instead. Then again, when was the last time a young computer jumped up and licked your face. I'll stick with the long hours and happy puppies.0

Had to laugh. One of the clinics in town called to borrow some drugs. The boss just went out of town and the battery in the safe key pad died so they can't get in to the safe. No one knows how to get to the battery to change it. That sounds like something that would happen to me.1

My patients are still alive! The owners have been very good not to pull the plug. I don't usually get such patient clients. I think the pets will turn around and I appreciate the owners giving them more time.0

Well, I lost one of the pets but the other two are doing well. The Parvo pup has quit vomiting. The cat started eating again. Both really good signs.0

So I sent home the Parvo puppy with specific instructions on what to feed and how often. It's on it's way back because they let it eat the other dog's food and now it's vomiting. RRRRGGGGGGG!!!0

Some people should not be allowed to own pets (or get pregnant & have children.... but that's a whole other subject, lol.)

Kind of the same subject.1

I have a friend in Arkansas and she said it's storming there too.
She's just south of Missouri, not sure what town/city though.0 -
Oh I have a phone interview with Wells Fargo. Not my 'ideal' job but it will help me pay off debts and get back into/through school. They have tuition reimbursement, so that's nice.
I keep getting told to "stick it out" and that I'll "be off nights before you know it" or "so-and-so is going to retire in January"
PUH-leez. "So-and-so" was saying he was going to retire in August. Now he is saying January. What's to say he just doesn't decide to leave?
I LIKE the benefits of the state job but working nights is now a MASSIVE drawback for me. I don't like being told something is going to happen about a change in shifts and then NOTHING happens.
I need 3 days off in a row if I'm going to continue working nights OR I need to find a daywalker job. It's unfortunate but it's what has to happen in order for me to maintain some form of order/happiness in my life.0 -
30ish mins to go. I'm hungry, can barely keep my eyes open, and some guy with whom I've only had contact on FB messenger seema convinced that he's in love with me, and doesn't understand why I don't believe him.0

Struggling over here... on the first of four this week. *yawn*0
