I finally found the Cotton Candy Twinkies!
I NEED YOU TO REPORT BACK ASAP TO LET ME KNOW HOW THEY ARE. My father was going to Walmart last night so I asked him to check for them (and also for Oreo O's cereal), but he didn't see either. He did bring back Chocolate Twinkies, but that just doesn't cut it for me I need to find Cotton Candy!!!
I also picked up the other two Quest Hero bars despite hating the Blueberry Cobbler flavor and today I tried the Vanilla Caramel. I thought the Blueberry Cobbler was very artificial and yes, I noticed that a bit in the Vanilla Caramel, too, BUT I LOVED IT. The caramel was so gooey and satisfying, the entire bar was to die for! I would never choose the Blueberry Cobbler bar over a hardcore candy bar craving, but that caramel sauce in the Vanilla Caramel bar sure would make me consider replacing this one for a candy bar. I love the Cinnamon Roll Beyond Cereal Bar, and this was definitely just an even sweeter, improved version of that. If they could make a bar like this with a dark chocolate coating and a peanut butter caramel layer I would be in heaven.
While picking up Quest stuff I also splurged on a full tub of the Cinnamon Crunch protein powder. I had it in the labs and wasn't crazy about it, thought it was sort of bitter and artificial like the Cookies & Cream, but this final version is A LOT better. If anyone tried the Cinnamon Crunch powder in the labs and hated it, definitely give it another try! It's much sweeter and has a stronger cinnamon flavor. Reminds me a lot of the Cinnamon Cereal Crunch CTD Protein Powder... in fact, it's nearly identical!
Basically it is a regular Twinkie with Strawberry flavored Cotton Candy (agreed with the Youtube review that said they also thought it tasted like Cotton Candy). I think for the novelty factor it was ok to try at least once, but could have been better if it came in the frozen fried Twinkie variety.
I still would've preferred to have the Cotton Candy Oreos back.1 -
So I decided to try the Toasted Almond Enlightened per @leanitup123's suggestion. For 240 calories an entire pint I certainly can't say it's bad, but it's my least favorite. Compared to the other flavors it's very bland and the flavor reminds me of the time I accidentally made a cheesecake crust and used way too much pure almond extract. I can see where people who like more subtle, sophisticated flavors might enjoy this pint as bits of it do remind me of an amaretto, but personally I want something A LOT sweeter and in my face. I was also surprised with how little ice cream was in the pint compared to the other flavors I purchased!

I WILL be picking these up this weekend. My fear is that they're going I be really small (180 calories).

Definitely the least artificial out of the bunch but not as sweet (and therefore in my opinion, not as good) as the vanilla caramel flavor. Since they used the chocolate cookie that always reminded me of a deep fried Oreo I would have enjoyed this MUCH more with a cookies & cream influence, but it was very true to its flavor, lots of pecans!

Fellow cotton candy fans: DavidsTea brought back their cotton candy tea as the flavor of the month!

OREO COCONUT THINS: Yummy! Great coconut flavor. Will definitely re-purchase! 4 cookies = 140 cals. And since I love crunch, I could totally see me adding 2 cookies to a serving of Halo Top ice cream for a perfect sweet treat!
OREO SEA SALT CARAMEL THINS: Ehh. They SMELL great. You get all excited - thinking...mmmm sea salt caramely sweet, this is going to be good. Then, you take a bite and think, did I get any of the filling? So, you take another bite and realize a faint taste of sea salt caramel. Smell the cookie again, yep, same beautiful smell. Finish off the cookie and realize, someone played hocus pocus. I wrote a novel to say: The vanilla thin cookie is awesome. The sea salt caramel is non-existent. Will not re-purchase. 4 cookies = 150 cals.6 -

So, small like I expected. They're very tasty, though. The plain coffee ice cream is fine, but together with the brownie crisp it's perfect! On a side note, TJs sells their brownie crisps separately and you get a really decent serving for the amount of calories (if you weigh instead of count).

I love their brownie crisps, lol.3 -
Tried the Butter Pecan Enlightened. I'm not even going on with a lengthy review, there's no need to. It's good. It's REALLY good. I'm not normally a huge nut ice cream person, but I couldn't believe how delicious it was and had a hard time believing an entire pint was 400 calories because each spoonful was full of pecans... I'm pretty sure I had at least 500 calories worth of pecans in that ice cream alone... does anyone ever go around and check Halo Top or Enlightened to see if their calories are accurate?

Futuristic....
"Losing weight is one goal of wearing fitness trackers, but it's not always easy to see the pounds you've lost from the steps your Fitbit Alta is tracking or the muscle you've gained with your Atlas Wristband.
Simply stepping onto a scale also won't tell the full story of your hard work. Even though you're eating better and exercising on the regular, the numbers might stay the same or even go up causing confusion, frustration and ultimately a loss of motivation.
But don't head back to Netflix binging on the couch every weekend or gorging on pizza just yet. Naked Labs CEO and co-founder Farhad Farahbakhshian sat down to tell us how the Naked 3D Fitness Tracker, a sensor-packed smart mirror that takes a 3D scan of you on a rotating scale, wants to help you stay on task.
Seeing is believing
Farahbakhshian says a big part of staying on top of exercise routines is actually seeing the flub fall away or your biceps getting meatier. He should know - on top of being an electrical engineer, he's also taught spin classes.
"60% usually start to drop off after working out at the gym," Farahbakhshian tells us. "They come in super motivated and want to make a change, and work out really hard but after six weeks they're not where they thought they'd be.
"Either their expectations were not set appropriately or they are using the wrong metrics and the wrong devices to measure their health and fitness. When I saw people who stayed with it, (it was because) that 20% could see how their efforts were affecting their body. The people who quit, well it wasn't visible to them."
But it's hard to see progress with a plain 'ol mirror and again, numbers on a scale don't mean everything. That leaves taking a tape measure to your leg after every workout but this isn't the best solution either since you have to measure the exact same place each time.
That's where the Naked mirror and scale come in. The scale is more of a turntable that slowly spins you while the mirror uses Intel RealSense 3D Depth Sensors to scan your body which creates a custom 3D body image that's sent to the Naked companion app on your mobile device.
To accurately pinpoint the changes you must be naked, hence the name, or wear skintight clothing.
The mirror was demoed in real time right in front of me and while the person wasn't naked, the scan did show every t-shirt wrinkle and misplaced ponytail hair.
Apparently the sensors and algorithms will get even better at recognising your body by the time the tracker is ready to ship. The time it takes to scan and send to you phone will also be much faster.
Numbers do lie
Even though scales can tell you how much you weigh, they don't always reflect the changes your body is going through. The Naked 3D Fitness Tracker does come with a scale that works on carpet and hardwood floors, but Farahbakhshian emphasised that it's not the focus of the platform.
"It does measure weight to capture accurate body fat percentage because we need weight to do that. But we want to actually keep people away from weight - we believe health is more than just weight."
When conducting research into the options people are given to measure their progress, Farahbakhshian and the team saw that connected scales and dumb mirrors were pretty much it.
"We saw that most companies are focusing on what you do with your body and what you're consuming - and that's really important - but it's only part of the equation," Farahbakhshian explains. "The other part of it is what's happening to your body so you can correlate activity and diet and regimen. The only device we saw that does this today is a connected scale and a mirror."
But that wasn't the right answer for Naked Labs. For proper motivation, the team wanted proper visualisation that wasn't solely in the context of just stepping onto a scale that syncs with a fitness tracker, or scrutinising your body with a mirror.
"Your weight might not change but you may improve your health drastically," he says. "We have case studies on that. And a mirror, your eyes can deceive you, and filter what's really happening. Naked as a product visualises your body's progress far sooner than anything you see on a scale or mirror to help you stay motivated."
Farahbakhshian gave an example of Vijay, who couldn't tell if his workout was making a difference. Through beta testing with the Naked mirror, he was able to see his progress outlined by the app's heat map."
I think it sounds really cool and helpful for people who get discouraged when they don't see immediate weight loss like some relatives I know. They can never stick to it because if they don't lose over 1lb a week they think it's not doing anything.

I just want that microwave that tells you how many calories are in your plate, lol.8

Finally caved and bought these today. 6 strips for 130 calories. Never had tempeh before so I figured this would be a great way to try! ETA: I also got a single packet of the cinnamon crunch quest powder! Can't wait to try it. Probably going to mix it up before bed. Those of you who have had it - did you mix it with milk or water? I'm tempted to try mixing it with almond milk..

I had chili lime ones a while back and I remember not being too impressed. I think I didn't finish it. BBQ might be better.1 -
Tried Enlightened's Snickerdoodle pint, the last one I had left to try. Didn't take a picture because there was absolutely nothing exciting about it. It was basically just a cinnamon flavored ice cream with a slight artificial sweetness to it and nothing more. I was anticipating cookie pieces of some kind, but there was nothing. Not terrible, but compared to their other flavors it's not something I'll be buying again unless it's on sale and they're out of every other flavor.
