For any of those of you Tubbs was that you? excited about my Princess Bride dress I am starting to actually work on it right now. I have the muslin and the two patterns and I've cleared my kitchen table and have my special sewing only scissors.
These talks of weddings and wedding dresses and honeymoons remind me that I really would like to know what a good marriage is like. However, being intimately knowledgeable of what a very unhappy marriage is like I am in no hurry nor do I necessarily need it (self sufficient and independent little lady that I am.) However, I will put it out there loud and clear that I want a loving husband who is good to me and my kids. SO may be that man, he's certainly in the running so far. It is not something we have talked about and I am not bringing it up until I am clear in my mind how I feel for sure about him in that role.

I've been pestering my husband and telling him that I want a Fitbit, because I think it'll motivate me to move around more so I can "win" steps and calories. He thinks it's an unnecessary fitness gadget, and that I should probably just move around more by myself.
So, to motivate me a little (since I've been struggling a lot lately, as you all know, and he's been trying to find ways to help me with it) he gave me a challenge: If I can get my weight down to 65 kg by my birthday, he'll buy me a Fitbit. I'm currently at 69.3, and my birthday is on the eighth of October, which means I have 3.5 months to lose 4.3 kilos--very doable.
So, by putting it out here, I'm hoping you guys will help me stay accountable so I can win myself a Fitbit for my birthday! (He'd probably buy it for me anyway, but I really want to win this challenge.)
We have the same birthday!!

Are you confessing to secret woodchucking?
I don't think woodchucking is generally a secret that would garner a confession... Every time we toss out a piece of paper, we're generally chucking wood. Maybe he's confessing to wasting too much paper.
You win the internet today! Bows down and then run away embarrassed.
lol! Thank you, thank you.pofoster21 wrote: »Guys in case you thought I was dead I am just checking in to say I have to catch up this weekend. Was just to busy the last 2 days. See you tomorrow!
I did notice that you were gone , but assumed that you were having a busy weekend.
@nonoelmo Those pictures are beautiful!
@orangesmartie You encouraged me yesterday, I'm encouraging you today: You can do this! Think positive thoughts and tell yourself that you've got this and that those biscuits have no power over you. I'm sure you'll rock that mountain climb, too!! The walk should be a piece of cake after conquering a mountain, right?
I can have cake after I climb the mountain???
lol! Yes, you can definitely have cake after climbing the mountain. I'll even bake it for you if you want, but I can't guarantee what it'll look or taste like when it arrives there from Saudi Arabia! But I would say that the calorie burn from climbing a mountain would surely buy you an enormous slab of cake.
Slab? Are you crazy? The whole cake! Preferably cheesecake with cherries on top (oh wait that would be the kind I would eat...not sure what orangesmartie would want...I guess she gets to pick).
Cherry cheesecake is my absolute favourite!!! I adore cherries and cheesecake

Aw I'm now a fan it was a brilliant day. Hadn't seen F1 cars in the flesh before and the V8 and V10 engines were so loud, it was brilliant to witness. My favourites were the American Monster Trucks basically doing wheelies up the hill.
I am a total petrol head and. A complete F1 fanatic, been to races across Europe and America, go to Silverstone every year, except this year I'll be up a mountain. I used to love in season testing, it was a great way of getting up close to cars and teams, met lots of drivers and used to go drinking with some of the mechanics (we still keep in touch) if anyone is interested, I can share photos
Funny story about Silverstone. One of my friends went to a job interview somewhere near there, and it didn't go very well. She was all wound up and stressed and didn't want to drive straight home, so she thought she'd go in and have a look around Silverstone as she'd never been before. Nobody was around, so she just drove around for a bit and then saw the entrance to the track, so she ended up driving her little Ford Fiesta round Silverstone for a couple of laps, as fast as she could. Felt a lot better, came out and drove home!

Mmm cherry cheesecake, m&m and frosted brownies...drooling! I've had a not so good past four days and I had to log a gain this morning. I was bummed but then thought oh well just get back on it! Plus my gym opens back up tomorrow woot woot!0

My goal is 12k per day, as long as I hit 10k before a workout I'm usually okay with my steps0

That's great to have had such an interest I'd love to see some photos. I'm quite new to it all it was my first motor show event. My husband is a massive life long F1 fan so I know drivers in that and that's about it. Been watching some shows about motorcycle stars too so feel I'm slowly learning a bit more...
To be honest, I'm not really into it all, but my husband and father both are, and I love their enthusiasm!

And not just for Fitbit people..so not Fitbit based, although we could have.Fitbit challenges

I'm absolutely rubbish on my fitbit for the most part, seem to regularly hit under 5k (when I even remember to wear it), so maybe some challenges will be good for me. I do have my 40k badge though.
ETA: it's 8.15 pm here and I'm on 28330 -
So, I did have the curry last night and I still didn't go over maintenance calories. It was good but not as amazing as I'd been fantasizing about (prawn coconut curry with peas pilau and naan). Worth the calories though. Today will be over too, because of previously mentioned BBQ - I have steaks, chicken skewers and shrimp, plus salads and a lovely prosecco. Also the cherry cheesecake. Can't wait!0

I aim for 11k and have been doing pretty well so far. The most I've ever hit has been 24k. I was tempted to walk the extra 900 or so steps at 10pm to get to that 25k badge0

I am so impressed by the step totals mentioned here . I don't think I've ever exceeded 14000, and that was a busy day! Maybe a challenge is what I need, except I certainly won't rival many of you!0

LOL, I think you and I posted this at the same time! 14000 would be a very active day for me!

POF, question for you re horses. Do they mind being transported in trailers? It's very hot here today and I just passed a big trailer with about 6 horses in it. All the windows were open so I'm sure they were fine, but I just wondered whether they are ok about going in - like, do they know they're going somewhere fun or interesting so get in happily (like my dog going in the car)?0

Could someone pm me the group too please? I'm not 100% sure what its for but if it's called the Batcave I can't help but want in (do you guys have codenames and passwords? )
Under groups, it is called Confession is Good for the Soul, we just refer to it as the Batcave after Tubbs called the group listing that one time. I started a thread in the group for the fitbit. I like the idea of a daily thread for all activity trackers for us, then they can't say we aren't promoting weight loss!0 -

Aah that makes sense! I want a fitbit but I guess I need to get saving for it Thanks for the explanation! haha0 -
Two sad things, (one not so much, but sad for me).
1. My husband and I finished the series Breaking Bad last night at 12:30AM. Now I don't know what we will do . I need to start back up with OITNB, but I can only watch that one really late so the kids don't see it. I'm not a prude, but as much as I like the show, there are some things I don't want them to see yet .
2. But the really sad confession is that I am cleaning out my clothes, and I am so disappointed in myself. In 2012/2013, I lost 54 pounds. I have now gained it all back, so I have to put all my smaller clothes away for a while because I don't have room for both. Of course I knew I gained the weight, but putting everything away has really brought it home how far I've let myself slide. It was much more fun getting rid of the big stuff, you know. But at least I have a bunch of stuff waiting for me when I finally decide to start doing this again.0 -

Also, I can just about watch those shows with my 19 yo daughter, but would never watch OITNB with my boys (18 & 14). BB would be ok, I think, although I've been re-watching recently and there's more sex than I remembered. Watched Wolf of Wall St with my older son and there were a few bits that were a little awkward!0 -

Be in, be in! It seems like we have quite the range of fitness levels here, I imagine it's the same for the subset of Fitbit users. And maybe seeing the higher numbers of some people will help motivate you. I know I'm rather competitive, so I always try to beat the person who is just above me on my friends list. I know there is no way I can beat everyone - some people are super active, but I find it does help me push that little bit extra.0 -
@Dnarules how did you like Breaking Bad? I'm usually really annoyed with how shows finish (AKA the last 3 seasons of Dexter) but I was really pleased with Breaking Bad.0

I was, too. I thought they did a great job. And seasons 4 and 5 (especially 4) were so intense. My husband had actually stopped watching it, but then got addicted again in season 4.

Things here just got really intense and I want to run away.
Also I think my fitbit might have stopped working.... I am gonna try and charge it now but God only knows how long its been dead or why I never got a low battery notification. If that is even what it is.....0 -

My fitbit has done that twice, and somehow my husband got it going again both times (Fitbit One). I will try to ask him what he did and get back to you. His stopped working, and they sent him another one. Their customer service is pretty good.
I hope things start going better.

I assure you that my slug days are probably closer to 500 steps than 3000. No embarrassment allowed, this is the no judgement thread, remember?! We're all in this together.
I confess that I have eaten WAY too much ice cream today. Totally within my calories, but I didn't really NEED one serving of each flavor...0 -

I have to ask....what's a Mr. Whippy?
Haha not sure if anyone has answered this...if you are not from/in UK it probably sounds strange. It's soft scoop whipped ice cream in a cone with a chocolate flake. Also known as a 99 from when they used to cost 99 pence (sterling). They are served from an ice cream van. Reminds me of childhood!
I seen Orange post about clotted cream & was wondering is that more of a whipped cream, cottage cheese, or yogurt?0
