Don't skip recording. Your body records it even if you didn't and knowledge is power.
If if helps you are not alone last Thursday I made pumpkin spice cookies and some wonderful coconut, oatmeal, chocolate chip cookies that were wonderful. some of what I logged was the dough but also sampled the cooked cookies. It happens with me every once in a blue moon.
I just went back to staying into my macros I did not go under to try to make up for those calories.
I have gotten bad that when I know I am over, I'll log until I push myself over and then just close it out. I need to get less lazy and record everything! If I know I am under, I make sure I record every little bit.
Yes it is tempting to not log, but how is that helping you?
It's not that it's tempting not to log it, I am just lazy. I know I am over, so once I make myself be over, I then close it out. I don't pay attention to weekly or macros, so it's usually not that beneficial, but that 'you would weigh x in 5 weeks' can be compelling. In both directions.
x in 5 weeks isn't always correct
It's never correct but it can still be scary.2 -

This is the meal plan, it's already laid out for me so I don't want to do more work than needed aka I'm a lazy sod lol

I confess that I only helped at a thing last night because I was promised pizza and cookies. Neither of which were there. I also confess that I was a jerk the rest of the night because of it.3

I would be ticked too if there was a promise of food & I had set aside calories & skipped a meal to make sure I had enough calories left.0 -
I confess I ate a protein bar & two Ginger cookies for breakfast. The protein bar was awesome, but the cookies were pretty meh tasting.0

Ginger cookies and men does not compute. Of course I make my own, so.0

Ugh I hate when something with a high-ish calorie price tag ends up not being worth it!0 -
So, I lived out of hotel last week while we were dealing with my mother-in-law's passing. I ate all the things (Olive Garden's pumpkin cheesecake is sub-par, by the way) and broke my #soberdays streak again. I am back in the wagon now and at 5 #soberdays.3

Congrats for getting back on the band wagon, but can we talk about pumpkin cheesecake? I love pumpkin cheesecake and to hear that Olive Garden's is bad makes me sad0 -

I was wholly disappointed. Not pumpkin-y enough to be good in a pumpkin pie way. Not cheesecake-y enough to be good in a cheesecake way. Just very blah. Plus, it was still frozen in the middle.
I very, very rarely order dessert from a restaurant. This was the whole family together to celebrate mom-in-law, so everyone was splurging. I shared my piece with hubby, so I didn't partake in the entire caloric disappointment alone. But, still - delicious points totally wasted.
ETA: I even passed on actual dinner to have the cheesecake, and just had the house salad.0 -
I hate it when I am totally looking forward to something ESPECIALLY if I forgo something else to have it and then it's a big fat disappointment. Particularly when dessert is involved because I so rarely have it anymore.
A coworker made cookies and cupcakes yesterday and I grabbed a cookie and started to chew, but spit it out because I wasn't about to waste my precious calories on a craptastic cookie.5 -

Haha I totally did that with a Peanut Butter Lara Bar not that long ago. Get outta my mouth with that nonsense!4 -

UGH THAT'S THE WORST!! My mom would make me pumpkin cheesecake for my birthday because I love them both entirely too much haha2 -

I thought Olive Garden cheesecake was amazing the one time I had it.0 -

I should have tried the plain cheesecake, instead of the pumpkin, I think.0 -
Confession - I am totally in screw-off mode at work. I don't know if it's because of Thanksgiving next week, or because I was gone last week, but I cannot seem to get my rear in gear, work-wise. I think I'm going to take Black Friday off work. I've been debating whether I want to use my vacation time for that or not. I'm leaning heavily toward YES!0

My office is closed Thanksgiving and the day after. I am very much looking forward to it.0 -

That's one thing I REALLY like about my job. Since I started working here over 9 years ago, they've given us Black Friday, and Christmas Eve off every year...PAID!!! This year, since Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Years Day are on the weekend, they're giving us 3 extra days off. Friday, December 23rd (or another day of our choosing), Monday, December 26, and Monday, January 2nd!
My poor husband doesn't get any extra time off and if he doesn't work the day before and the day after holidays, he doesn't get paid for them. Vacation days don't count as "worked" days either.0 -

I had the pumpkin and it was spectacular. But that was 2 years ago...0 -

Do it! We get that day off but years ago we didn't and it's an awkward day to work (no one around, really interrupts your long weekend). It's worth it.0 -

Yeah. I worked it two years ago because I'd only been working at this job about 2 weeks at that point. Office was nearly empty and nothing at all to do. I ended up going for a long walk, familiarizing myself with the area (because that's obviously work-related).0 -

Most of the Lara bars are nasty & not worth the calories.
The only flavor I have enjoyed has been the Gingerbread flavor.1 -

Agreed, I've yet to meet one that I like and now they are off limits again anyway so I am not putting myself through that disappointment again. Similarly I don't at all understand the hype re: Oh Yeah bars. They taste very weird and are a bizarre consistency to me. Give me original recipe Quest or give me nothing! Haha
In kind of keeping with protein bar reviews I confess I ate 5 Buff Bakers protein cookies in two days while we were in the city. I was so sure they'd be terrible, dammit! It was within budget but five??? Jfc me . No one ever let me try the birthday cake almond butter lol0 -

Usually I am the same but Martin is making the meals and we have a bunch of spices to change tastes so it's working so far. Believe me when I say I cannot wait to bulk, ALL the foods!2 -

The only Lara Bar I've tried so far is the apple pie one, and meh. I don't think they're worth the calories for the small amount of protein they offer.
The Oh Yeah! One bar that I LOVE is the lemon cake! It's reminds me of lemon bars which I love. I have tried a few other varieties and I was less than impressed.
I'll say it again for the kids in the back. The best protein bar I've EVER tasted is The Best Bar Ever. I love the chocolate peanut butter, chocolate coconut (taste like an Almond Joy), and the Original which is sort of trail mixish with dried fruits and nuts.0
