I went back to keto and cutting phase a few days ago because during my recent failed foray into carb reintroduction I regained over what I'm okay with. Now my husband, who has been entirely neutral my whole weight loss journey, is telling me to maintain where I am right now. I feel like either I have to stay feeling chubby and horrible (6lbs makes a big difference at this stage imho) so he's happy or be happy with myself again but now knowing he is less attracted to me. Why do all these aesthetic things suddenly become issues now? I was disgusting looking at 250lbs, why was nobody all over me to put down the fork then? /confessionrant
I am up 8 lbs or so and I agree it does make a big difference. But at 5'9 128 seems too thin? May be why your husband prefers you with 6 additional pounds.
Looking up healthy weight
I'm 5'9" each body is different but my body would not look good at that weight. I imagine your husband will find you attractive at any weight but does not want you to hurt yourself trying to get to the lowest weight in your weight category.
I'm 5'9", too. I can't imagine 128 pounds. The lowest I ever have been was 144, and that was very, very thin. I'm currently shooting for 165.
Not a knock on you, Jessica, at all! It's interesting how different bodies can be.
Can you look this up for 5'7"? I'v always been curious where I should be. I think 140-145 suits me nicely though.

Another one that I look at as more realistic for me is
http://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator.html
Well, according to the second one, I need to lose about 10 lbs.
According to the second one I need to lose 25, but when I was 20 and weighed 138, I was bulimic and my body fat was 7-8%. I was anything but healthy.
This is why I have trouble taking the concept of an "ideal weight" seriously. I understand and largely agree with the applicability of BMI but who is picking these "ideal" numbers? I look chunky in the 140s because I swear I have the frame of a woman half my height. Most other women are smokin' at 140 but that doesn't make it ideal because there are women like us who look fine (even better) on other sides of the very small margin deemed "ideal". You're all babes I tell you!
You're a babe too, Jessica! I have come to a spot in my life where someone else's ideal doesn't mean squat to me. My doctor told me that I look phenomenal and my lab numbers are almost perfect. That works for me.
Can I ditto this?
Of course you can.0 -

Are you talking about the Joy bars?
Fitjoy. Yep!0 -
Today's Fitjoy bar - Iced Chocolate Brownie, AKA Iced Chocolate Disappointment. Just blah, with an aftertaste of fake sweetener.

I didn't love or hate it, but I don't think I'll buy it again. I think I'll try the mint chocolate crisp or whatever it's called next.0 -

I have that one left, chocolate peanut butter and chocolate chip cookie dough. My Peppermint Bark were supposed to be delivered yesterday, but they didn't come...0 -

No, but I didn't get a delivery notification, either.0 -

What are dinner plans? 600 is doable
Tuesday I usually eat out with my parents. That's the problem. I'm hoping they'll agree to Applebee's, then I can pick something off of their Under 600 calorie menu.0 -
This one is better than the Iced Chocolate Brownie. Not much peanut butter flavor to it, though. Some sweetener aftertaste, but not bad. Still isn't the Peppermint Bark.

I despise Applebee's. I can never find anything vegan to eat.0 -

Hello again.
I find the 'ideal body weight' conversation interesting as ever. According to BMI, I need to get to below 140 to be scraping into the healthy range (I'm 5'2"). I don't think I've been there since I was 17. At best just before I got pregnant, I was in the mid 150s and I thought I looked great. Currently I am mid 160s and I don't think I look horrendous, even though my BMI at 30.3 labels me as obese. Maybe I carry weight well, or maybe I'm a fat girl in denial. Who knows. I'm still trying because I know from past experience I will feel better the closer I get to 140.4 -
Reading this thread, I have no idea what 'birthday cake' flavour is supposed to be. Birthday cakes are all different flavours. Assuming this is an American thing?0

I think it is and it's basically vanilla with vanilla icing and sprinkles. Not my favorite, but hard to make it taste really bad.0 -

My fitbit said I burned 2336 calories yesterday, and my food diary said I ate 2337... Considering I ate THREE doughnuts, I'm counting that as a win.7 -

Yeah, that. And it's my least favorite. I don't understand the obsession.1
