    Yes it is. It means telling someone something they're already an expert in, as though you know better (when you don't). An example is my dad who likes to question or correct my mother's French. My mother is French. My dad isn't, and doesn't even speak it very well to say they've been married for 37 years!

    Uh, I don't know about the Grandma bit, but teaching someone to suck eggs is a common phrase over here, yes.

    My boss's son died this morning. He was 19. Not sure if it was a car wreck or medical issue.

    I have no idea when I should reach out... This sucks.

    Better watch for rocks. Not that I am much better. I do have a weight goal, but not much else.
