Hey, @Lois_1988, I heard an English saying and I wanted to see if you knew it. "Teaching your grandma to suck eggs." Is that a common saying?
Yes it is. It means telling someone something they're already an expert in, as though you know better (when you don't). An example is my dad who likes to question or correct my mother's French. My mother is French. My dad isn't, and doesn't even speak it very well to say they've been married for 37 years!
Oooh I'll bet she loves that.0 -

This is amazing. I posted in here sometime... No idea where... Hundreds of pages ago I guess. I don't know why I lost track of this thread this is terrific. I love this.

Uh, I don't know about the Grandma bit, but teaching someone to suck eggs is a common phrase over here, yes.2 -
To get things back on topic, I have a confession. Nothing juicy or anything.
I have no idea what I want my goals to be. Life. Weight. Fitness. Work. Nothing. I'm just drifting.1 -
My boss's son died this morning. He was 19. Not sure if it was a car wreck or medical issue.
I have no idea when I should reach out... This sucks.3 -
Oh man, that DOES suck. I'm so sorry. 19 is so young.0

Mo, what with two small children and very unreliable sleep, I'm keeping my goal very simple. Eat more veg! I went off veg big style while pregnant so just aiming for two or three portions of veg a day is an improvement. I've found having a tupperware of carrot sticks in the fridge at all times helps. This is literally the most commitment to healthy eating I can manage right now. Once I've had three hours of unbroken sleep more than two days in a row, I may re-evaluate!7

Actual picture of me the day I was born...

Confession: I know the best part of breastfeeding (other than it being super good for baby obvs) is supposed to be gazing lovingly into your child's face and getting that amazing bonded feeling. But it isn't! No! It's being able to totally justify eating chocolate in bed at 3am and not put on weight!
I would actually prefer just to be asleep at 3am, but got to find those silver linings.
