This. I lost my first 15 and felt amazing. Then I realized I still have at least 25 to go, and I look exactly the same as I did when I started. Waiting for that pound that actually makes a noticeable difference.

This for sure. I had to find the right friends/family to tell, because I so wanted to tell someone and most people look at you and you can tell they are thinking "so what, why are you so excited about that" I have the issue with fitness goals and weight loss goals. Ran a mile, no stopping for the first time in years and most people think no big deal...well, to me it was a big deal and I wanted to tell someone. Thankfully I have a couple of friends who get excited for me.

All the posts about the joys of shopping make me a little sad. I still don't like it, I can shop in any store I want, I don't have to go to the plus size section or special store or anything anymore, I just don't enjoy it. I thought I would, I guess I am just not a shopper.

I've chosen to work with a personal trainer and started just before Christmas this year. The other morning while doing one of my exercises, I suddenly realized and told him I am getting definition in my arms. He just smiled and said we were doing good things for me.

I, too, cannot believe the difference a few pounds makes in how my clothes fit now that I wear a size 6. I could wear my 22s for a 20# spread, but now if I gain 6# because of a cross-country move, I have to wear a whole new size.

When I was losing weight, I was shocked that by the time I bought enough work clothes to properly fit my size 12 body, I was fitting into 10s. I was even more surprised when I went through 4 dress sizes in 35#, when I previously had to lose 60# to see the same changes on the rack.

Due to the huge cost of clothes, eBay has become my best friend and a little bit of an addiction.

This! I have to keep reminding myself that while my current weight loss is a big deal to me (almost 84lbs!) that I am still fat and that I still have a ways to go before I move out of that category.

I didn't know how odd it would be to realize that when I meet new people now (80+ lbs down, 31 lbs to go), they will never know me as obese. We were at an event this past weekend where I met colleagues of my husband that I hadn't met before. It was nice not to stand out as being huge. I felt so much more comfortable socializing. I guess I wasn't before but I didn't realize how much that had changed.

Yes. Happier here! I don't cringe when I see a camera.

As of today, I have lost 58 pounds in 6 months, going from a tight 16 to a loose 6! I can move more quickly-even started jogging periodically during my daily walks. I never ever thought I COULD jog....

I too am giving away all my old bigger clothes. In the past, I would box them up for the future. Never smaller than a size 12. Now the 10's and 8's I bought in the past three months are baggy. I'm into that size 6 with room! Again, I never ever thought that was possible. Now I want to stay a size 6! I look way taller than my 5'9" now but that's ok!

MFP and my new friends here has helped me escape from my former fat self! The only problem is that I'm spending too much, just like many of the rest of you are! Clothes shopping is now SO much fun!

Hang in there and DO celebrate the milestones! I am 1.2 lbs and 3 days away from an intermediate goal of 80 lbs in 9 months! I am working hard to make it and I will celebrate it so much, even if I make it a day late

Going to a podiatrist who specializes in sports medicine so you can jog without pain on the treadmill. I never thought "sports medicine" would ever be used in a sentence with my name.

This! I have always had small wrists and hands, but in the past week or so I've noticed when I move my fingers it's like the workings of a piano! Never noticed that before. Ever

This is from what happened yesterday:
Shopping for bras with your triple/quadruple-D sister is interesting when you're now in kid's bra sizes. She thought it was hilarious that I lost a ton of weight in my chest, and my size is rarely covered by most bra designers (28-30A/B, depending on how it's cut. I ended up shopping in the kid's section at Walmart). It's a PITA finding bras in tiny sizes that aren't designed for a 10 year old or aren't ridiculously padded, but I'm happy that I got 6 bras for less than the cost of one bra at Victoria's secret (even though most of them could be classified as training bras).

Honestly, I'm happy I don't need to worry about securing my chest while jogging.

Just finished buying a new sports bra because I've lost another cup size in weight. I can't even go to Victoria's Secret; I've got to go to a specialty store and blow $80 on a 34-H. Just so the treadmills next to me don't fill with young men the minute I start running.

I'm super jealous...

I'm right there with you on that one. Lost 100+ pounds and I and still 34-G
