What nobody tells you about losing weight

Nobody told me I would be losing weight underneath my feet! As I mainly walk barefoot at home (it's really hot here) I do get hard spots. No problem. But suddenly it is. I constantly get cracks at the edge of my heel or blisters from running due as the skin being too big. I take good care of my feet and remove hard stuff regularly, but it doesn't seem to be enough.4

How you wife or husband will suddenly become super insecure like yeah I lost weight to get a new wife not because my back hurts and I want to be able to tie my shoes without losing my breath I can come up with a million of these this is a great thread8

Bras... Cor the number of times I've had to resize those bad boys4

No one told me that I would have loose skin on the back of my neck. It feels weird sometimes when I move my head.
I love my thin wrists and keep buying cute bracelets.3 -
65 lbs down, 40 to go.
I learned that 90% of success is preparation.
The other 10% is advance planning ☺15 -

I have been very surprised about how different people treat me.
It's almost insulting, but I suppose this is just nature. Not that I am all that, but being fit has made it quite obvious that others find me attractive. And the difference between these reactions is telling.
I would start a campaign against this if it did not feel so darn good

I feel like I was upgraded from coach to business class while traveling internationally because the seats seem so much bigger!
Traveling and eating out gives me anxiety since I have no idea how many calories are in bi bing bop and many other dishes.
People that haven't seen me in a while mention that I've melted lol.
I still try on clothes with that I end up swimming in so thrift shops are my new best friend (don't want to spend money on clothes that won't fit anymore In a few months).
Overall my quality of life is 100 times better!5 -

Stronger thighs are also an added bonus. ;-)0 -
I got a kick out of reading these posts. I have only lost 15 of 70 lbs and don't feel much of a difference. However, the posts have given me a lot to look forward to. Thanks!5

That my idea of how to lose weight and how much physical activity I thought I would want to do or need to do would change. I thought as long as I ate within my calories that everything would be just fine. That was until I only had 1320 calories allowed in a day. It's now a requirement that I exercise or I will either risk going over calories or starving to death. I have grown to love making myself not only weigh less but stronger and healthier as well. Now I'm setting personal fitness goals for myself and have convinced myself to begin my mornings with a workout. Nobody told me this journey would change my entire life.17

Ok, so I understand that the boobs would get smaller. In a way that was a relief. But why do they have to look so awful! There really is no discernible shape to them unless I have a bra on.
I was on vacation in Mexico and met a girl from Canada who had weight loss surgery and had lost a lot of weight quickly. We were sitting by the pool in bathing suits... She was complaining her boobs looked like beaver tails!!!! Hahahaha. (and she wasnt far off- LOL)

This is so true!!! My husband has gotten so insecure....Does he think I'm only with him because I can't get anyone else? WTF?! hahaha
On the plus side, he has now become motivated to get back into shape and now we both really enjoy running together! I've always hated running but it's so much more fun when we do it together.5 -
It takes a LONG time for your mind to catch up with your mirror.7

Its been around 2 and half months since my journey. Have lost 20 pounds. Still need to go down 40 pounds to be lean and fit. I eat healthy and do strength training.
Things you feel:
1. You know your proteins better.
2. You realize whats nutrition!
3. I was always into cooking but now when I something I look at it as carb, protien and fat.
4. I can see my neck in the mirror.
5. My clothes are loose and pants are falling.
6. I feel strength in my hands and legs.
7. The journey is not a sprint, its a marathon. Its a life long commitment.
P.S. - There will be friends who will say you don't need to think before you eat or drink. Or They would mock you. Just let them be and you keep progressing. Talk to yourself and stay motivated.
My goal is to shed these pounds away by next April.

Feeling like you're not losing anything to waking up the next morning feeling 5lbs lighter. You never know when that whoosh will hit, just keep going!I've found that people love to be discouraging. A supervisor at work said, "you're so tiny, don't worry, you'll gain it all back." She also said, "you're starting to look frail." Why would you tell someone who has lost weight that they are going to gain it all back?!
I have gotten that a LOT lately! Also people telling me I have "lost enough".
According to my BMI chart I'm still obese and I still don't like the way I look in clothes AND out.
I've had that before, I was hovering around 170-160lbs 5'6" and everyone was telling me I looked "too skinny" WTF haha, I was still technically overweight. Can't imagine how I would look if I went below that.3 -

I seem to be able to tell when a whoosh is going to hit, I seem to be Peeing full time, even waking up 3 to 4 times during the night. It is like i loose weight, and make up for it in water weight, and whoosh (literally) down the toilet.2 -

I wish my boobs would shrink. I have lost 35 pounds and gone from a 42D to a 34DD. Before I gained weight I was a 36C. Granted, I was 18 years old. Now at 30, it's beginning to be a real problem. Hopefully this they go with the next 30 pounds.

well, in my case I had lost 30 pounds, and I didn't recognize it subconsciously speaking, and kept using my old clothes, my best friends had to do an intervention and asked me to buy new clothes because everything fitted like a tent... and that's when I realized I had actually changed, even though the scale and measurements where downsizing. The mind is powerfull.6
