Thanks ... but I'm no spring chicken anymore.
I just wish I still had the energy and strength that I had when I was in my mid-30s!!

Yep your right and today ends the last we will be in the forwards and backwards date. Will never get another May of these either.
You probably know what I'm talking about but incase. Since May 10th the date is the same forward and backward... 51015 or 51015.. 51115 or backwards is 51115.. 51915 or 51915
except here in the UK we would say 19th May - which would be 19/5/15....
Yea that kinda throws things for a wack! Congrats by the way on your longest bike ride the other day!0 -
G'morning guys! You all are smashing this thing. How exciting! Jeannie, you are very close to goal. Wait, is your goal 100? or did you jack it up to 150? I forget... Either way, you're dusting it.

Had a fabulous weekend away in Edinburgh, walked around town, up and down hills for 2 days, but no real idea of the distance. If anyone is going to Edinburgh I thoroughly recommend the World War 1 exhibition in the National Portrait Gallery, it had me in tears.
Weather since then has been crazy, it has chucked it down, thunder and lightning and hail, so no cycling.
May to date - 113 miles.

Had a much less confidence-bashing dance class last night. I don’t feel too bad about holding myself back in class level as I was really concentrating on getting the form right. A big smile at the end of the class.
I'm picking up my new bike (yup, extravagance, but with the cycle to work scheme savings I'd be a fool not to!!) tomorrow so will have a play on that, plus walking with a friend in Pembrokeshire over the weekend. Added to that I’ve got three days on on-site surveys in gardens to do so plenty of scope for getting in some walking miles! Exercise by stealth – that’s how I like it.0 -
Just checking in on my favorite group! You guys really make me SMILE!!!!!0

@mandybaker100, I would love to see Edinburgh one day. So glad you experienced that. And @jeanniewes, I'm with you. These posts are so great and uplifting! Thanks to all of you guys.
Ok, so yesterday I ran off and forgot my Fitbit!! GRRRRRR! If I didn't live so far from work, I would have ran home to get it. But no, running home would have meant STAYING home. lol NOT coming back to the office a 2nd time in one day. Not happening! Giving myself a very modest 3 miles... sigh...

ScrAgnx do you have a pedometer? I wear mine when I use the push mower. The only frustrating thing is that it does not show how HARD I work although it does log my minutes and mileage....
I worked so hard yesterday that I had a difficult time today. Did not get a lot of sleep. I think I was exhausted! Anyway a shorter early morning walk with my girls and then another so all in all we got in 4.25 Miles even though it took two walks...

Hurrah! I beat the 100 mile mark!
In other, more sobering news, I just found out the missing diver from the South Coast (failed to surface, search called off) is from a local club, and may be someone I've met before. Makes you think.0 -
Machka I also hate it when it gets dark at 5p.m. in our winter months as well. Being SPRING now it is getting dark around 9p.m. That will become around 9:30-9:45 p.m a bit later. I remember visiting Alaska in June one year. It was awesome as I watched the Sun going down at MIDNIGHT! lol...I got up around 3a.m too go too the bathroom. Looked out the window. It was only dusky dark. People were riding Bikes up and down the street! lol...I would hate those cold dark winter months though....
yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy for your 112.5 miles.....WAY TOO GO! You just can't STOP now! lol we have SIX more MAY days too go!
Yesterday was a Sunday Spring Fellowship day at Church. I only got in 1.5 walking miles..
Today I took the girls for a 2.25 mile walk. Dropped them off at home and continued another way walking too the Cemetery and back. That gave me another 2.75 miles. 5.0 altogether..
TOTAL THUS FAR MAY 25TH.........118.0 walking miles (my goal is 120)

I have a wrist based activity tracker, so the mower affects it (between the vibration, and less movement due to holding the push bar). I just leave mowing, etc as a unclaimed bonus.0 -
Hiya peeps, the end is nearly nigh!
Spent the long bank holiday weekend gardening, no idea how far I walked, but like ScrAgnX I will consider that an unclaimed bonus. Cycled to and from work today followed by 75 minutes zumba I feel like a real fit chick rather than fat and nearly fifty, it may only last until I start to stiffen up!
Hubby has booked us into our first spinning class tomorrow night, not sure how that's going to go.
May to date - 137.5 miles

Hey guys!!! Took an extra long weekend. yaaaaawn, stretch.... It was so incredibly lovely that I'm doing again this next weekend.
It is raining, raining, raining down here! Our neighbors to the west in Texas are really getting hit hard. There have been many deaths due to severe and very fast flooding... Truly so heartbreaking.
@Machka9, what a beautiful picture. Thank you so much for sharing!
